  • Great work my friend

  • hey, what barrel is it ? just a normal pipe ?

  • @stefkorn - a barrel from an old .22 rimfire rifle. Worked pretty well. My newest airguns are using barrels from Germany :)

  • Wow it looks like you built this with very high quality, awesome job.

  • Simply fantastic, it's so grand to be able to make an entire air gun to your likes. I take it lot's of people will be wanting to get this very special book. from H.M. Buckley. Your work shown in the pictures step by step are great! I take my hat off to you, Excellent job. Take care my friend

  • @leftymadrid

Hello, Thanks for your comments. The books are still available through Mr. Buckley, he is reprinting them. Be patient, it can take a few weeks for him to reply to mail or emails. But he does reply. Thanks, again.

  • nice job!

  • @PyroShim

    Thanks!

  • please please!!! tell me what did you use for air reservoir, tank whatever u want to call it what is the fill preassure and the max fps cheers

  • @mag2010gp

Not going out any details on the reservoir. Someone may build it wrong and kill themselfves with the high pressure. Max fill is 3000 PSI and just under 500 FPS, for legal here in Canada.

  • you have got to much time on ur hands

  • @bbpin2112b9b6

Thats kinda of funny seeing as it took a few months to build it on and off.

  • Should have done the inletting first, that way you can feel for whats happening.

  • fps?

  • @spaghettiwesternLUVA

Under 500, due to Canada legislation.

  • Great job! Amazing work you well done!

Regards and check out my channel, how I've changed my AA s410 for a bullpup.

    All the best!

  • YOU R A FUCKING GENIUS!

  • I got this book by Emailing Mr Buckley. Tonight I just ordered the materials. I had to make some substitutions for several dimensions because the callouts in the book are metric, and I am in the US, using imperial.

Is your pressure vessel Aluminum? If so, what grade? I went with T6 6061 with .25" thick walls. leaving me with a .75" ID. I'm not sure if I went overboard on the wall thickness and unnecessarily decreased the volume.

  • @skinwehr 1/4" thick may be ok, what about the end plugs and valve whether threaded in or pinned.

What ever materials are used it should be pressure tested at least 1 1/2 times the operating pressure.

  • @jhareng

Most things are tested or pressure tested to 3 times max pressure used.

  • @skinwehr

I used steel, gun is heavy. I haven't experimented with any reservoirs to determine strength. Not giving any advice on this as I do not want to be liable for accidents or worse a death.

  • sir,how many shots can this beast do?

  • @laksoysoy

About 35 to 40 with decent penetration.

  • Very nice to see a proper airgun build video on You Tube, you have done a nice job of it. I hope that you go on to build some more. Much of my work is designing airguns for the European Market where very high quality very expensive airguns are common place the most expensive being £5000. Here in the UK gun laws are very tight and so many people shoot good PCP airguns for Target and Hunting. High power airguns on a license can be as powerful as a .22LR. I have just finished my 61st rifle. Rob

  • @KAOSRIFLE

Hello Rob, sorry I never answered your comment. Thanks for your kind comments.

Please email me if you see this comment.

  • @airgundevelopment Sent a few emails but aol was playing up and so i don't know if you got them or not.

  • i call this pro!

  • hey just a question did you get a gun stock template off the internet or from the book or did you just draw it your self?

  • @xXvapourXx

I got an idea off the internet and basically traced it as best I could.

  • what would be the main tools you would need to make that beast :D

  • @xXvapourXx

You would basically need a lathe and mill. Also the experience to use these machines and an idea of what works best for a pressure vessel. 3000 PSI is dangerous.

  • @airgundevelopment from where u get 3000psi except from buying already filled tanks?

  • @chilidress

Sorry took so long to reply. You need a scuba tank and a place that has a scuba compressor to refill.

Or you can rent nitrogen cylinders from your local dept.

  • @airgundevelopment do you make any custom parts for say the 2240

  • Wow very nice =)

  • A hammer valve opens slow, try a QEV. But job WELL done :)

  • Dear airgundevelopment,

i tried for 1 year for getting this book, nut unfortunately i can not find it .

is there possibility to buy book from specific site or download it?

do you have pdf version of book?

    please direct me

    regards

  • @alishoar

You can order the book from H.M. Buckley only. NO PDF, photocopies. Enough infringement already.

  • @airgundevelopment thank you for your reply.

Dear sir, if you read my request ,i mean i want to buy it paper or pdf doesn't make any difference i send email to buckley but did not have any reply so i request for direction.

  • nice. very nice nice nice. but i dont realy understand how it works

  • @markuscoollife

Works just like any Crosman airgun. A striker or hammer hits a valve which opens for a split second allowing air up a channel and pushes the pellet forward.

  • where did u get the book

  • @lolmanAza

I bought my book through a used book store in the UK. Buckley is the only source for the book currently. Visit the page:airgundevelopment(dot)com/book.html or airgundevelopment(dot)com/buckley.html

    Thanks,

    Pedro

  • thats really nice for a 1st time stalk

  • nice build!

  • you should builted the barrel free floating!

  • @bazengao

My next two rifles are free floating. This rifle was based on Buckley design.

  • @airgundevelopment upload them!! i would like to see more of your works!

  • @bazengao

For my current build please visit my website.

    airgundevelopment(DOT)com/concept4pg4.html

  • what type of lathe did you use for yours?

  • @Australiaroo

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I used a manual mill, manual lathe and CNC mill to make most of the parts.

  • i think you should left the barrel free floating. that why you may get more accuracy!

  • Wow very nice build. If we could combine my gun woodwork and your action, we'd be making some world class pcp rifles :D

  • @FighterAceee94

Thanks for the comment. Anyone could make a better action. It was my first attempt and hopefully sometime in the future when time allows I will make really nice action block. Curious if you have some gun woodwork samples that you are sharing publically, always enjoy seeing what other craftsman are doing. Please email me.

  • is there any place else i can buy these plans ???i emailed him a week or so ago but no response

  • @alan19861

    Hello Alan,

Sorry for the late reply. I believe I emailed you already? These plans area available if you can get a copy of the MODERN PNEUMATIC AIRGUN book. Buckley takes awhile to respond, but anyone looking for plans, this is the best way.

  • where can i buy something like that to put together since i dont have any mill, lathe ect.....??

  • Cool!

do you know how strong is your airgun, how many Ft/Ibs has it?

    5!

  • @krysks04 - I have kept this airgun just under the 500 FPS for Canadian Law. So a .22 pellet, 14.3 grain @ 490 FPS = 7.6 Ft/lbs energy.

  • not so much.. ;)

any way it looks preety good!

  • Top notch!

    /O
