to me the fall effect is a couple things,

1, a flushing/finishing food for the plant,

2, the plant gets less nutrients so the fan leaves change collor (fall) lol

3, the plant is sucking the sugars out of the turned fan leaves, this is good!!

4 during fall the temperatures drop and the plant knows its life is close to over,there for it should produce more resin in hopes of breeding.

"fall effect" is a prolonged flush, where nutrients are removed from the feeding schedule and the plants are fed only water to get a more natural tasting final product

i agree with bluemystic up at the top where he suggests a 20 day flush (instead of a regular 7 day flush) is taking from the plants health

which is ultimately what produces varieties of intense colours - nutritional deficiency!

Is a 20 day flush necessary? Not really. Is a flush necessary? Definitely. I would not say the 20 day flush hurts the final product though, especially once it gets tested at a proper THC level and looks as sexy as those buds do.

If you watch Strain Hunders Merocco Expidition. They have this mutation of a plant that when it flowers, all it can do is just grow a foxtail on the main stalk. Its called "Flat Stalk Syndrome" It doesnt grow sidebranches. Just a stalk, with leafs. So when it flowers, it cant budd. It just grows calyxes up the main stalk, and makes 1 long foxtail, of a kolah. Ive been hearing about it for a few months. They have one in veg, there. Its more common in Merocco.
