your tv will need a standard pc style monitor conector like the little monitor output on the wind then you will need a pc double ended monitor cable or if you dont have a vga input you can buy a device to convert it to an rgb style conection so it will connect to the yellow/white/red input on your tv or if you only have scart on your tv you can still get a further adapter to convert the rgb to scart, yes confusing but simple if you know how lol :)

Guys i have a problem, i just bought the msi wind and everything is fine. the problem is that there is two petitions and 40gb and 100gb, but for some reason windows is installed on the 40gb petition. Is there something i have to do to change it so windows is running on the 100gb instead of the 40, or do i have to install windows on that petition too.

yes you have 2 partions this is for a good reson

you can keep importaint files on the second partion, so if you need to restore it one day you dont loose all your files as anything on your 40gb will be factory set to how you got it, its advisable to only install nessesary software on the c:/ then install big programs on the second partion and keep your music/pics etc on the second just incase you cant boot one day and you need to restore, your other files will be safe :D

I was flicking through one of my favourite PC hardware and gaming magazines the other day. They had a mini feature on how to modify and spec out the MSI Wind to run Ubuntu. They opened it up, fit it with a solid state drive to keep it silent, added an extra gig of RAM, and replaced the wireless connector (which apparently isn't too friendly with some Linux distros). None of this was really "required" but it definitely made life easier on the netbook.

Now it's connected. MSN/Skype/Yahoo will automatically recognise it.

Or go to my computer and it's listed there as USB camera, run it from there to see yourself.

The MSI Wind sucks, why does it get good reviews with so many flaws. The keyboard isn't good because of the full sized shift key because it's in the wrong spot since MSI didn't want to just move the arrow keys down like a normal person would, the trackpad and buttons suck, the screen is flimsy + when you close the lid the screen is put under pressure. It being 10" doesn't matter because it has the same resolution as a 8.9" screen, so no, you don't get more real estate.

I own one of these, and I've had no problems at all with it. And no, the lid isn't put under pressure when closed. There's no spring that pushes it closed, it's held down, when closed, by magnets at the top of the screen, and doesn't seen flimsy at all. I don't actually understand your comment about the shift key. It's closer to the arrow keys than it would be on a full sized keyboard, but otherwise is in the same position as it is on full sized keyboards, and identical to most laptops.

The touchpad comment is the only one I can see that has any merit. They substituted a cheaper touchpad. It's not actually a bad one, but it lacks a proper slide to scroll feature that the better pad had. One minor issue on a laptop that is otherwise a gem.

On another note, people talk about the hinges being small or flimsy... while they are small, my laptop has survived two abusive children who have sat on it and dropped it hard on he ground, and the laptop seems to have suffered no damage.

On full sized keyboards, the shift key is under the enter key, not the length of the shift key itself to the left... I meant the screen hinges not the screen itself, when you open it the screen doesn't stay still in some positions (just greater then 90 degrees) because the hinges don't have enough tension, this is the case with every wind I have seen. The screen bends slightly when you close the lid on a few models I've seen so if you open it just slightly you can see "waves" on the screen...
