to avoid fingerprints I pulled small pieces of cling film over my finger tips to make tiny finger-tip gloves. If you pull it tight it stretch-sticks on and is really smooth while keeping all the control and dexterity of your finger tips.

@TheSaul100 you might have mixed to two parts with an uneven amount of each. When that happens, the putty will never dry because the hardener will not activate in the green stuff. Sorry to tell you this, you might have to redo the putty work. I had the same issue not that long ago.

very nicely done, but the sand bags have no texture, when i made mine, i got a piece of fine cloth and just imprinted it on the putty, and got a pretty good material texture

You don' t have to lick your thumb you just keep the green stuff wet .That way you get the same result without having to taste green stuff (which isn't very nice tbh)

sandbags don't always have and in them it denpends what you put in them but to the point the bags are brown the sand ats that liittle bit of yellow tinge

but if you had say dirt or black sand it would have yellow tinge :P

and the green makes it look more camoish

so i like it :P

Imperial Guard are probably the easiest to relate to if youre trying to look at it through their eyes. You watch Saving Private Ryan. Throw in plasma guns and some lasers, more gore and more...demonic stuff...and A LOT more soldiers. There's Imperial Guard for you. If you like the idea of having an army with the potential to kill off EVERYTHING in the galaxy, then go back to sleep until life has started anew...then Necrons ftw.

what I do for a decent flesh look is cover the skin area with a dark flesh color of say a brown or dwarfish flesh tone. Then I dry brush a lighter skin tone and get a pretty good result. I've even used vermin brown as a base coat and dry brushed bleached bone on top and got a nice result.

not that hard , well if you have a bit of experience its easy , just look into the how to paint warhammer book and check how to paint faces , not that hard to do , i even made some nationalities , like african or asian and south american people ... make a real human army ^^

i made a catachan heavy weapons team and use the lascannon on the turret, converted the heavy bolter so it would fit on a guy, same with the missle launcher. took a termie base and used the other stand for a morter fire team, and put the autocannon a piece of terrain. ill make a vid about it
