Good example of Psychedelic Rock Music by The Doors with great Jim Morrison Lyrics and Doors' Musician Instrumental Break with a tribute to John Coltrane's Afro-Blue song. This also features some rare film footage of Jim Morrison's unfinished film called, "The Hitchhiker".
You obviously aren't as big a fan as I am Electra didn't record the Bakersfield recording it was through bill Graham there is three possibly more concerts and this is not high on the priorty list they are releasing Vancouver next month I live in hope u are right though bakerfield is awesome
Iive been listening to the doors since 1992, when i was 11.i have everything that they have put out cept this...thank you so much!wonder if they did hill dwellers too?
@JohnsMusicChannel1 Who is to say that The Doors and Bright Midnight Records are not going to release this show? If this song is available i am sure Elecktra recorded the entire show.
Jim Morrison was a shaman. He transcended the accepted modes of reality and life. Taking anyone who was willing to a deeper spirituality. Whether he died or not on July 3rd 1971 is irrelevant. The important thing is that he lived and gave us beautiful music and poetry.
@PhilosophicalViking About 3 months ago I visited Paris and of course I included in my tour list a visit to his tomb in the Perre La Chase graveyard. In a place where celebreties such as Edith Piaf, Rossini, Balzac, Marcel Proust, and Chopin are burried, his tomb was by far the most visited.
@stevom31 I was learning "Crystal Ship" on guitar a while back and I was amazed at how interesting and complex their music can be. All their music along with JM poetry and writting are fantastic.
this is interesting b/c, esp at the start, morrison's voice sounded just like he did in '66-'67... yet this is 1970, when supposedly he'd lost his early voice.... i think the reality is in many case in '70 & on much of la woman, morrison on purpose altered his voice to sound more like an older bluesman... but, the idea that his young timbre in his voice was destroyed i think was simply false.
first time inhaling worked for me was while listening to this.sitting in the front room of the parents house in the afternoon while my my dad was at work and the mother was out shopping.29 yrs ago.both the song and the inhaling still work
Prefiero la version del Aquarius Theatre por lo prolija y porque el sonido del vox continental le sienta mejor, pero es tan bella que las preferencias pasan a segundo plano.
Wow! Thanks for creating and posting this. I'd never seen some of those clips before. Don't think I'd heard this version of Universal Mind either. So nice to find more Jim.

When they start the solo at 2:10, they are actually playing John Coltrane's tune "Afro blue". Coltrane had a quite an influence on them.
