You must be sadly misinformed if you believe activism is synonymous with punk-rock-radical puerility.

With that said, there's a fine line between activism and blatant harassment. As I said, I applaud you for speaking up-I was even sitting directly in front of you. However, when you approached him afterwards, you didn't want answers-you wanted a reaction out of him, and you got it.

Perhaps reading a book may be of help to you. Here's one for starters: there is more than one form of activism.

When I approached him a second time it was because he AVOIDED my question the first time I asked him in front of the audience. Actually, I thought the second time was more to the point, and I got the good Admiral to admit for a second time that he does NOT think 9/11 truth activists are terrorists. My recommendation for you is to pick up a copy of The End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot by Naomi Wolf and see if cutting too much slack for these secretive NSA/CIA-FEMA-Camp-USA-Patriot-­Act types is really what you want. Or possibly just as good, look up Naomi Wolf on YouTube and listen to her speak.

sorry, I'm not much into conspiratorial writings and bush bashing. I'm just not a fan of Wolf and her misleading over-the-top views. I suggest you read the scholarly research of authors like Chomsky("manufacturing consent" or any other writing) or Cornell West(Democracy Matters) to truly see how our democracy is changing.

I am familiar with Chomsky but I have not read Cornell. I will give them both more of a fair shot than you seem to be willing to consider other ideas about the current state of world affairs. But just to be clear, what I do know is that Chomsky argues quite in favor of what I believe: That the MSM is the mouthpiece for the corporate and government establishment. Just look at what happened to Ron Paul. As for Wolf, her arguments are perfectly in line with this viewpoint. Do your homework.

Wolf has the same view, but its rather naive in its research. Chomsky has a multitude of views, but one that separates him from others on the left is that he does not believe 9/11 was an inside job. Thats hardly wolf's position as she sees America in a fascist state(although in a fascist state, you can't publish work against the government, silly irony).

As far as change, you might want to check out James Davies' seven preconditions for violent revolution.

Perhaps I should retract my reference to the "variety of authors" as I pretty much have only recommended one: Wolf (although Mussolini was implied in one of my comments). Some other very good ones are David Ray Griffin, Webster Tarpley, Michael Ruppert, and yes, Ron Paul (most especially his brand new book "The Revolution: A Manifesto"). All except the last deal one exclusively with 9/11 truth and America's immensely disturbing slide away from the Constitution. Highly recommended.

Also, I fail to see the relevance that Chomsky is not, more accurately than your description, a 9/11 truther per se (he is for a new 9/11 investigation). Furthermore, "the left" is more so than less so against 9/11 truth (although that is changing). And lastly, Wolf claims we are headed towards -- not presently in -- a fascist state. The ten steps she lists are signs of that fact.

I checked out the James Davies reference you recommended. On that point, I agree with both him and you.
