This is THE string quartet that brought jazz/rock into the classical mainstream. They inspired other groups such as the Hampton Rock String Quartet, Vitamin String Quartet and others. This is an absolutely top notch musical group.
For those of you who think they are demonstrating Bach's style, you're wrong. Translate the description, and it says "string quartet performing their own works blending jazz with bach." Turtle Island String Quartet is a Jazz string quartet, and mixed jazz with some of Bach's work.
