  • what a tool this thing pelosi is

  • My true thoughts on this woman exceed the 500-character limit.

  • bimbo

  • So according to Nutsy Plousy, if everyone quits their job and goes on unemployment tha twill stimulate the economy and create jobs?

In any place but California or Washington you would get a straight jacket and a padded room for saying something that crazy.

  • You know, my mom doesn't get into politics because she thinks that people in DC are so much smarter than her and she leaves it to them to figure out. But you know what? My mom understands a LOT more about economics than Nancy Pelosi. She doesn't owe anyone, she lives within her means, pays her bills on time, and doesn't get into other people's business. Nancy could take a lesson.

  • @getagreatjobfast: If we were to raise taxes on the wealthy to where they were before Reagan we would have no deficit. It would seem the Democrats are not the problem.

  • @judyleasugar97 Where on Earth are you getting your data? You can't go $14 trillion into debt and say "Let's just raise taxes." You could raise taxes to 100% of everyone's salary and not solve this problem. Again, I would like to reiterate that this is not a Democrat/Republican problem. It is a problem of spending money you don' t have. The Dems and Republicans are BOTH guilty. Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Obama... ALL of them. And all of our congressional representatives.

  • @getagreatjobfast: Most of the debt was Bush's doing. Think about this, before Reagan there were no deficits. What did Reagan do first off? Lowered the tax rate for the very wealthy. If we raised it to what it was before Reagan there would be NO DEFICIT.

  • @judyleasugar97

Get your fucking facts straight about the debt. It took Obama 2 years to match the debt Bush added in 8 years. Obama just started another fucking war. Where are all the no war protesters? Oh right, since it's Obama it's all good.

  • @Freedan111: Bush's wars and tax cuts for the wealthy did not immediately show up on the deficit. In reality Obama has only contributed 1/6 what Bush did to the national debt.

  • This is the same woman that said regarding the healthcare bill, "We don't know what's in the bill. We need to pass it to find out." Since we have survived for so long without a healthcare bill, you think there would have been enough time to allow those who represent us the opportunity to actually read and ponder the bill before passage. What was the rush? The fear was exactly that: That people would find out what was actually in the bill.

  • Well, Nancy is not terribly bright, but she is rich at the expense of hard-working people. If you have found yourself unemployed because of her crazy policies, I have just written a book titled, "Get A Great Job Fast," which I'm giving away for free at my website. Wishing you all the best as our country crumbles.

  • i wonder what her IQ is- looking at her I see nothing but a silly idiot

democracy ? stupid people elect stupid leaders and stupid leaders make wars, crime, poverty insanity and stupid universities. A person in the battlefield on the other side of the world is there because he got a student loan so he could get a job.

  • And people actually vote for that dumb bitch... Who's dumber??

  • @moejay04 I was thinking the same thing. Who are the idiots who put her in office!

  • DUMBER THAN A BOX OF ROCKS--seriously if this isn't just rhetoric-- then she is out of touch with the real world

  • She is NOT this stupid. Welfare and extended Unemployment people are Democratic Voters. They will do or spend ANY amount to create this Underclass of people along with Iegals until they have enough voters to have a complete takeover of the Government. At that point of control they will crack the whip as to who does what, like in the former Soviet Union.

  • @Texmurphy51 Has anyone noticed that the Democrats who say they're for the poor and underprivileged are themselves very wealthy? Also, has anyone noticed that there is not much difference between Republican and Democrat? That no matter how much change there is between the political party in power, not much really changes in policy? Check out Tragedy and Hope by Carroll Quigley. This is not an accident.

  • @getagreatjobfast: Nancy Pelosi is not nearly as wealthy as people like the Kohk brothers oil billionaires who basically orchestrated the current conflict in Wisconsin to try and break the unions. And Nancy is trying to help the middle class.

  • @judyleasugar97 Explain to me what is good about a public sector union. Tell me one thing jet-setting Nancy has done (not said, but actually voted on) that has been of great benefit to the middle class. And by "middle class" I mean the people who actually get up in the morning and participate in an activity that produces goods or services that are desired by others in an arms length transaction, and who are taxed at about 40% of the fruits of that labor.

  • @getagreatjobfast: If it were not for unions we would have had no middle class in this country. People died to establish unions, and people like you want to just give it all away. I just can't believe it.

  • @judyleasugar97 There may have been a purpose for unions at one point in our nation. The pendulum has swung too far in my opinion. My dad lost a very good job because the union just kept asking and asking for things to the point of nonsense. Eventually the company shut down its US operation, left hundreds of people out of work, and moved to Mexico. How is this a benefit to the middle class in the U.S.? And a public sector union is much different than unions in the private sector.

  • @getagreatjobfast: So you think these corporations are just going to do the right thing without the prompting of unions? Give their workers safe working conditions and decent pay? Yeah, right. Besides, these corporate billionaires have a plan. First get rid of the unions and then get rid of minimum wage. We need to impose tariffs again to bring jobs back to this country.

  • @judyleasugar97 Are you aware that there are many, many, many non-union companies that treat their employees very well. Ask the folks at Google, a corporate behemoth, if they are treated poorly. Yet they are not unionized. Business owners have an interest in treating employees well because you will lose your best talent to your competition if you don't. Do you work for a union? I never have, and have never been treated terribly in over 30 years of employment.

  • @getagreatjobfast: I'm afraid getting rid of unions is only the beginning with these people. They also want to toss out minimum wage. Completely deregulate the industries. There is a movie coming out about the Triangle factory fire, something that happened before industry safety regulations. There is a reason for regulations. Think the corporate bosses will simply do the right thing? Think again.

  • @judyleasugar97 On the other hand, if you impose too many restrictions on business owners in the form of regulation and taxes, eventually they will fold or move to another country where there are less restrictions and more profit. It is a balance. Ultimately, employment is a contract between a worker and the owner of an enterprise. No one is forced to work for anyone. If a person doesn't like the salary they can refuse to work for the owner. If the owner can't get employees he'll go under.

  • @getagreatjobfast: They are moving jobs to China and India -- because of greed. These corporate heads make tens of billions of dollars. Think they can't spare a few million to pay their workers a living wage? Impose tariffs, bring jobs back, or this land is going to begin to look like a third world country.

  • @judyleasugar97

Greed? It's a buisness, not a fucking charity. You don't like it? Don't shop/do buisness with them.

  • @Freedan111: I don't shop at the major chains like Walmart and Target. But that wasn't my point, the feds needs to impose tarrifs again on foreign made imports. Bring manufacturing jobs back!

  • @judyleasugar97

You want manufacturing jobs back? So you want you kids to grow up to be able to work on an assembly line? Yeah, that's a great future.

Please stop blaming Bush for the debt. If you can recall Bush's second term, the Democrats had control of the House and Senate. So all the debt was caused by the Democrats because they were the ones that HAD control over the budget.

  • @Freedan111: Car manufacturing jobs, union jobs, pay better than working at seven eleven and mcDonalds. This country is headed toward minimum wage, if that. Yes, I blame Bush for the debt: 8 years of war, prescription drug plan, tax cuts for the wealthy. Before the Democrats came in the Republicans in Congress passed every pork project they could, almost like they were trying to destroy the government, imagine that. Get your head out of your ass.

  • @judyleasugar97

You are the one with their head up their ass. Are you fucking stupid? Tax cut for the wealthy. The Wealthy are the ones that are paying the MAJORITY of all taxes in America. Now the Rich have to pay a death tax. Lets not forget that money has already been tax, but now, they will get taxed again when they die. Is that fair? But it's all good because they are greedy rich bastard and you are just fucking poor that needs big governement to get by right?

  • @Freedan111: The super wealthy also have all the wealth. They pay maybe 15 percent, and employ many loopholes to get out of paying that. Let me ask you, how do you think we will ever fix our crumbling infrasctucture without raising taxes on the wealthy? Just keep on kissing that corporate ass, see where it gets you. Nowhere.

  • @judyleasugar97

It's better than blaming other people for your own station in life. Keep blaming, you'll still be poor at the end of the day.

  • @Freedan111: I'm in an okay situation. There are people in much worse shape than me. Just keep kissing that corporate ass.

  • @judyleasugar97

Just keep kissing that communist ass.

  • @Freedan111: I don't kiss ass. I look for the truth, unlike you people.

  • @judyleasugar97

You look for truth but igore it when it doesn't suit your views.

  • @Freedan111: No, I would call myself pretty open minded. But then I don't work for a Republican think tank like you.

  • @Freedan111 Here's the most important thing you need to know about the Republicans' new budget plan: It abolishes Medicare within 10 years.

Republicans were already threatening to shut down the government at the end of the week, but the budget plan they released yesterday takes things to a new level

  • @godhatesallfatpeople

What is wrong with shutting down medicare or social security? Social Security was a scam from the start. People back then didn't live long enough to collect Social Security or collect for very long. The scam has been revealed.

  • @judyleasugar97 They want to eliminate the guarantee of medical care to seniors in America. Their budget plan would replace Medicare with vouchers that seniors would

use to pay Big Insurance. And if the vouchers aren't enough to pay for their care—and the Congressional Budget Office says they won't be—too bad

  • @godhatesallfatpeople Ooooo, lookie here! The liar's on this page too! Lots of claims with NOTHING to back them up. You sound like Alan Grayson! Lots of BIG claims, but NO substance.

Godhatesallfatpeople is a pathetic simpleton who leaves VILE, and DISGUSTING comments on your page about dead family members like my dad when you 'bitch-slap" him in a debate, and then BLOCK YOU. I left the coments up if anyone cares to see what kind of person he is...

  • @getagreatjobfast Thats why there is a Tea Party. They do see this is happening & are trying to create TRUE Change in America. The Democrats are for the Riches wage earners,(unions) Not the Poor. Tax money is being taking from the true middle class & given to the Rich while crumbs are given to the welfare & illegals to keep them as Democrat voters.

  • I wonder what percentage of democrat voters believe this

  • uneployment creates jobs.....well we should all quit and go on unempoyment. PROBLEM SOLVED! to call her an idiot would be insulting idiots around the world.

  • @otheroshow She's comparing the unemployed with unemployment checks with the unemployed without unemployment checks. She is not comparing the unemployed with checks to the unemployed being employed. Get your head out of your ass. But, let us know if you find Rush Limbag in there.

  • You can't fix stupid, but you can vote her out.

  • Nancy, YOU are what's contrary to what this country is all about. Go back to the city-by-the-bay and cuddle up with all the other freaks. You have "served" long enough.

  • WHAT !?!?!?

  • So, they are inherently wrong? So, they don't want Americans' good? So, they can't make mistakes?

This is one reason why even though I still believe that certain things seem to be done in the dark (bohemian groove, bilderberg meetings, skulls and bones) I disagree on basing one's life around this information that we don't control.

I stopped looking for worrying news for sometimes now and I believe my life to be better.

  • the biggest benefit to us all is if pelosi gets her hand stuck in her mputh

  • Redistribute Nancy Pelosi's Wealth.

  • @UnconcernedCitizen: Pelosi's wealth doesn't begin to compare with the Koch brothers, oil billionaires. The Waltons have approaching 100 billion. These people need to contribute more to this country.

  • @judyleasugar97 Here's the deal: Very, very rich people put moronic puppets like Nancy into comfortable jobs in DC so she can vote their way on issues to make them more money. People making money in the free market doesn't bother me. What bothers me is when our representatives use their influence to stifle competition. But it's our own fault for not being more engaged and making our representatives accountable.

  • @getagreatjobfast: And yet Nancy fights against the interests of the super wealthy. Curious how your statement doesn't make any sense. The super wealthy DO manipulate lawmakers, they're called REPUBLICANS. It's a common propagandist ploy to accuse the opposite side of what you yourself are doing. And look at your youtube name . . . more manipulation . . .

  • @judyleasugar97 Five hundred characters is not nearly enough room to address your comments, but I will do my best. 1) How has Nancy Pelosi's policies helped the average working person? 2) It is one thing to SAY you are for the average working citizen, another to actually VOTE that way, and make policies that favor the average working citizen. Apparently, you assume that I give the Republicans a pass. They are no better. This isn't a R/D issue. It's an issue of philosophy.

  • @getagreatjobfast: Pelosi has tried to help the working person. She and Obama have been blocked from doing anything substantial by the Republicans and traitor Democrats! Do I have to draw you a picture??? Health care for all. Raising minimum wage . Gay rights. Regulating big business. All of these things Nancy has fought hard for, and more. Things that would benefit YOU. You're an idiot.

  • @judyleasugar97 Yes, let's look at my screen name. You're accusing me of manipulation? I don't understand why. I found myself out of work in a very different economy than it was 20 years ago. I scrambled to get a job, saw a lot of people in my same situation, wrote a book, and offer it for FREE on my website which I pay for out of my own pocket. Check out the testimonials after two days on the market. The difference between us is I don't want to force you to pay for causes I want to pursue.

  • @judyleasugar97 Which interests of the super wealthy has Nancy Pelosi fought against? Remember, there are two sides to politics. What you SAY to the masses of people to get them to vote for you, And how you VOTE for the special interests who give money to your campaign fund to keep you in your cushy position. So, you can't quote Nancy as saying, "The rich need to pay their fair share..." and assume that she is for the little guy.

  • @getagreatjobfast: I'm speaking of people who make tens of billions of dollars. Nancy Pelosi does not make tens of billions of dollars.

  • Is there any more stupid old women on EARTH, hell no. Pelosi is trash, and a dumbass bitch plain and simple, and we all know what we do with trash. If you put Pelosi brains in a bluejay's ass, he would fly backwards.

  • Try a different solution - The Northwest Front:

    northwestfront . org

  • We have got to vote this socialist dictator out of office.

  • If you have a vegetable garden in your back yard, YOU will be taxed. My Uncle Sam says, if I know about it, I will tax it.

  • Nancy Pelosi makes me want to VOMIT !!!

    She is so disgustingly phony.

  • sofa king we todd did, memebr the song from red hot chili peppers give it away now repeated several times?

liberal morons have done more damage to America than republicans though they have had their share but in my opinion at least get rid of the worst ones first.

  • Well, let's test her theory. Begin sending checks to everybody. Or let's really get the jobs flying. Send HUGE checks. Let's try it just in my neighborhood first. I'll give my neighbor 1/2 of my check, and then he gives the next neighbor half of his plus half of what I gave him. We'll rename it the Pelosi scheme.

Come to think of it. My neighbor will pay the Baker whereas I would have paid the Butcher. See any benefit to the economy? People swallow this stuff? And vote? God help us.

  • So sad this dimwit is Speaker...

  • @adamitshelanu It's not "our" country you damn collectivist.

  • Two heartbeats away...

  • What a fucking idiot. Congratulations, Democrats, you have a Speaker of the House that rivals Quasimodo.... Dan Quayle was bad, but Nancy Pelosi makes Dan Quayle look like Einstein.

  • Her logic is no more flawed than the typical Keynsian economist. It's the broken window fallacy which Henry Hazlitt accurately describes in his book "Economics in One Lesson", whereby he described a shopkeeper with a broken window and the townspeople gathering began to comment on how it would create the demand for a glass-smith and the people who harvest the sand, but it never talks about the opportunity the broken window cost like the suit the shop owner would have bought had it not happened

  • i just want to put it out there that when i'm unemployed i don't spend any extra money, anywhere. how does that help the economy?

  • i just want to put it out there that when i'm unemployed i don't spend any extra money, anywhere. how does that help the economy?

  • i just want to put it out there that when i'm unemployed i don't spend any extra money, anywhere. how does that help the economy?

  • @blackfire01 Exactly!

  • Madame Speaker...YOU are "contrary to what this country is about."

    November 2010...tick tock tick tock.

  • Nancy.....go to Economics 101 please ! holy cow. what kind of perverted logic is this ? employers pay unemployment Nancy and if their costs keep rising they can't exactly create new jobs !

these economic policies are failing. now they are saying that we will have stagnant job growth and this same 10-20% unemployment for another year or two. that's because they don't have a clue on how to turn things around.

I hope you folks will be ready for the next recession that will hit shortly.

  • "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven."

    Jesus

  • so losing your job creates jobs?wow what ?i think all that botox finally ate her last few brain cells up!lol she is such a joke!

  • I've never seen this episode of "Looney Toons" before.

  • @carlo1775

"Conglomerate of Cluster$#@k Liberal Wackaloons" That is just simply AWESOME! Can I use that? I think you have coined a phrase my friend - brilliant!

  • We need to sit down brain dead morons like the idiot Pelosi, tell them to find real jobs they can do and bring this nation back to sanity and common sense.

  • Taking money from people with jobs, and giving it to people without jobs, does not create jobs or benefit the economy in anyway.

  • @okvideos5 Amen okvideos5. Pelosi is an idiot and so are the rest of the fools in washington.

  • unemployment creates jobs?! lol

  • WHAT!!!?? paying for unemployment creates jobs??? Not really seeing how that works.

  • Twisted doublespeak. Remove this nut case from her office.

  • Usually I comment on videos like this but I am at a loss for words.

  • She is just another unqualified liberal that needs to step down.

  • @Camel76 "unqualified" is putting it nicely. she's INSANE.

  • @stonescourt3

    I know.

She stood up in the House, with a whip in her hand, pounded her chest and said, "Im the most powerful woman in the world!"

She and anyone like her has to go.

  • Please excuse Ms Pelosi for her stupid opinion, it's just the kool-aid talking.

  • This woman is batshit crazy. I've been unemployed for over a year. Where is my "created job"?

  • wow, she puts the "stupid cunt" in the term "stupid cunt"...God what an idiot.. She should be put aways and never allowed outside.

  • I've been in the army for close to 7 years now, and sometimes I have doubts whether our country's greatest enemies are overseas or in Washington.

  • @cybersuh1 I'd say your doubts are well founded. We have elected the enemy.

  • Pelosi is a treasonous commie progressive insurgent

  • lol yes the money is spent quickly on booze and tickets and fast foods

and other non essentials of life she spend too much time on her own little cloud 9

  • @hobian just what planet are you coming from? Your comment reads about as ignorant as Pelosi's.

  • Enforce existing law.

Deport the illegals and suddenly millions of jobs will open up - especially in construction, manufacturing, hotel services, food processing and food service (restaurant and fast food workers).

  • Comment removed

  • @S955US84 Why are you so vehemently against the free market and private property?

  • @S955US84 "Enforce existing law.

Deport the illegals and suddenly millions of jobs will open up - especially in construction, manufacturing, hotel services, food processing and food service (restaurant and fast food workers). " LOL ECON FAIL

  • She actually says, "Econists will tell you, this money is spent quickly, it injects demand into the economy, and it's job creating. It creates jobs faster than most any other initiative you can name. Because again, it is money that is needed for families to survive and it is spent. Uh so it has a double benefit. It helps those that lost their jobs but is also a job creator."

Oh My God. Who in the hell put this woman in the White House? Please, do us a favor and kill yourself.

  • This woman is MORE than CLUELESS...SHE'S CRIMINAL!!!!!!!!!!

  • Should we all join the unemployment line or what the fuck? Pelosi is a dumb ass.

  • You people who scream about "spending" didn't make a peep when Bush crashed the economy. When unemployed people spend money it DOES create jobs. Give it a thought (if that's possible) about not only the people who sell but there's delivery and production. All of that is increased. You people just want to hate the unemployed because you consider them to be "losers".

  • @SpitfireOFatj I would like you to try an experiment. Just a friendly experiment. The first half would be for you to take 2/3's of your take home pay and not spend it. Put it in a can or under your mattress or wherever. DON'T put it back into the economy (even a savings account). Keep it out of your money system all together. Keep track of what you spend with the remaining 1/3. Next month go back to spending like you normally would and compare the two.

  • @phredbeard I bet you mocked Al Gore for his "Lock Box".

  • @SpitfireOFatj You'd have to refresh my memory on that. Look, in all seriousness I don't want to start anything but a normal conversation. No hate no bitterness I'm just asking you to try the experiment. I think spitting insults back and forth doesn't get anything accomplished.

  • @phredbeard We can't have a "normal conversation" when you claim someone can just casually take 2/3ds of their income and set it aside.

  • @SpitfireOFatj @SpitfireOFatj When someone goes on Unemployment Insurance (like many of my friends and family have in the last 2 years) the normal/average income is approx. 2/3s of the total in the previous year UP to a cap. They don't get 100% of their income. By using only 1/3 of your income you kind of get a feel what UI is like. They don't take vacations, they don't go to the movies, they (if they're smart) eat mac-n-cheese until they're back on their feet. It puts less $ back into the systm

  • @phredbeard Considering the average American spends almost half of their income now on housing alone that means putting aside 2/3rds of one's income is not an option. BTW: The sad thing is the idiots out there that are against paying a dime towards unemployment but don't mind paying a trillion to the Pentagon. After all, to speak against war is to commit an act of blasphemy against our Gods in Uniform.

  • @SpitfireOFatj I think you're straying from the original argument/conversation or you're misunderstanding my point. I don't hate the unemployed and I'm actually FOR keeping it going as long as it takes to return to the original numbers (or lower) before the O came to office. I think Pelosi's comment is very ignorant and shows the unfortunate separation between our government and we the people.

Yes (before you say it) I was bitching while Bush was in office.

  • @phredbeard What YOU don't get is that the Republicans are the WORSE persons to turn to in this situation. They don't CARE about the average person. They only care about corporate profits. They HATED the prosperity of the Clinton years. That's why they looted the treasury of it's surplus and tanked the economy. We went from corporations offering incentives and perks to attract the best people to cheap labor. Obama didn't CAUSE this crap despite what the so called "liberal media" has told you.

  • @SpitfireOFatj Dude, the "liberal media" hasn't told me anything. I let the politicians (R) and (D) tell it in their own words. The clip above is a perfect example. I'm trying to get you to think outside the box. Plenty of people can take the right or left side and that argument has been going on for so damn long it's become the norm.

The "prosperity" of the Clinton years is weak. A surplus in the government right? That means it was a surplus of YOUR funds in the hands of the government.

  • @phredbeard You people want the government to be broke, That way it can't do anything. That's because you are anti-government,....but still patriotic,....go figure....

  • @SpitfireOFatj You're still not providing any kind of argument to Pelosi's statement. Pelosi's dead wrong and you should know it. I think you can't admit it because like a lot of people on both sides of the room you've been taught to stick to "party lines". It's a ruse to keep you from seeing the truth of the matter. That truth is both parties have become corrupt with greed and hunger for power. The founders did their job for love of country not to get reelected or have sweet retirements.

  • @phredbeard Put money into the hands of people who will spend it and it increases demand. That creates jobs. Why is that so hard to understand?

  • So by your logic, why not just print $1 million per citizen and hand it out - they will go out and spend it, which will increase demand, which will create employment, right? You've fallen for the Keynesian fallacy of thinking that spending is what drives an economy. What drives an economy is the production of goods and services that people actually want. Money is just a technology that facilitates exchange, but the act of passing around of green pieces of paper produces no value to society.

  • @gergenheimer "fallacy"? Okay, now I know you got all yer info from the clueless...

    Ya woulda voted for Hoover....

  • Yes, "fallacy" - if spending, regardless of its source, is what drives economic growth (or recovery) why has unemployment been at 10% for 18+ months? Why has the stock market been so volatile? As for Hoover, I suppose you think it was his "laissez-faire" policies that turned the crash of '29 into the Great Depression? Do your homework - Hoover engaged in unprecedented deficit spending, created large public works programs, and pushed for wage and price controls. FDR expanded these bad policies.

  • @gergenheimer The really FUNNY thing is that you assume I haven't done my homework. I suppose your solution to the current problem is to "give business the freedom to hire".

  • If you believe Hoover was "laissez faire" then you clearly haven't "done your homework". Read Hoover's own words from his GOP nomination acceptance speech in 1932 - he brags about his unprecedented interventions - "...we met the situation with proposals to private business and to the Congress of the most gigantic program of economic defense and counterattack ever evolved in the history of the Republic." The solution to the current problem is the return of a free economy, missing for 100+ years.

  • @SpitfireOFatj gergenheimer is tearing you up here - you are clearly out of your league with him. So far all your rebuttals just exude ignorance and the shallow insults designed to deflect from your glaring ineptitude aren't working. Ya can't fake stupid I guess.

There, I just schooled you in the art of the insult.

  • @Agent4Bauer You consider that "being schooled"? Okay, not THAT made me laugh. BTW: Did you see the Daily Show talk about Nancy's quote? He had an economist tied up in a closet.

  • @SpitfireOFatj Date and time the show aired so I can research this.

  • @Agent4Bauer About 2:00 to 3:00 PM last Thursday on 1150AM Los Angeles.

  • @SpitfireOFatj Care to provide a source for the transcript for the show? - till then you got nothin'

  • @SpitfireOFatj Why is it so hard to understand? Because for one it doesn't make any sense and two it's just a fraction of what that person actually makes so he/she is going to hoard it and spend less (unless that person's part of the recent government then they'll spend it). I know I've been there.

gergenheimer has it. The production of goods is what drives the economy. Read into Milton Friedman for a different view.

  • @phredbeard Milton Friedman may have won a Nobel but he's still wrong. Don't you see that production only goes up with increased consumption? Then again, we could increase production and create inventory which will drive down unit value, thus decreasing profits and eliminating jobs. Markets are consumer based.

  • @SpitfireOFatj "Don't you see that production only goes up with increased consumption?"

How are the unemployed going to buy anything when they're being given 1/2 to 2/3rds of their regular salary? As soon as a friend of mine went on UI he canceled all his vacation plans and hasn't done anything but live on a skeleton budget. He made over 50k/year and was forced to live on 20K. I had another who made a 6 figure salary who was forced into the same 20k. How can money be injected back into...

  • @phredbeard Hello? They still have to pay for housing, food, travel (to look for work) and, if they're lucky, COBRA.

  • @SpitfireOFatj I understand your point of view on that BUT they're paying for housing that exists, the food they eat isn't building a job but maintaining it for someone else who will probably not keep it very long, and the travel is short, nothing extended. These things will briefly maintain an economy but won't do anything to build it. You put a real paycheck in someones hand and they'll spend it on a big screen tv, a new car, a vacation, driving the market forward instead of stagnating it.

  • @phredbeard This is like the notion that we hear that a job isn't "real" unless it's a "private sector" job. During the Depression the government built things like bridges and roads and dams for rural electrification. If the conservatives had their way back then Tennessee would still be using kerosene lamps and they'd still be using a car ferry instead of the Golden Gate Bridge. Now we need to rebuild most of that stuff because it's OLD.

  • @SpitfireOFatj I don't know what you're referring to about Tennessee so I can't comment. If you're talking about government jobs they're fine but they don't make money. The government doesn't/can't make a profit. If they're the only ones hiring we're in trouble. The larger the government the higher the taxes. The higher the taxes the less companies can profit, investing back into the company or paying their employees higher wages. So the less they make the less people they can employ.

  • @phredbeard You really are going totally by theory with the notion that companies that do well reward their workers with higher pay. It's obvious you are not looking at reality. Conversely, you consider ANY government job an example of "big government" which is "bad" by default because it "takes away freedom" and you refuse to break from those brainwashing talking points.

  • @SpitfireOFatj Yeah, they're called production and performance bonuses. however, if you don't perform or produce you don't get the bonus. I know that may not make much sense in your perfect land of milk and honey, but that's called incentive - it gives a reward for something truly well done, which then promotes the person to continue to strive for excellence. If there is no reward there - guess what - production is nil or drops.

it's just the facts man, just the facts.

  • @Agent4Bauer The fact is that wages have remained flat. Bonuses don't EXIST for a majority of workers and now it's come to light that the corporate elite are holding back 2 trillion dollars just to make Obama a one term president.

  • @SpitfireOFatj Where are you getting that crap from. Obama is gonna remain a one term president all on his own - he doesn't need ANY help.

  • @Agent4Bauer This may shock you but this is a center left country and if Obama loses it will be because people realize he lied about being a Liberal. Then again, the way things are going, you idiots will run someone who's totally insane.

  • @SpitfireOFatj No, he'll lose because people are waking up to the fact he is a socialist puppet controlled by George Soros and the other global elites who want one world government with us as their subjects.

The only way he'll win is if the election is rigged - I think you can tell by the number of comments on this video alone we're center right. More in line with limited government as outlined in our Constitution - but go on - keep drinking your kool-aid if it makes you happy

  • @SpitfireOFatj I betcha we see increasing wages and more bonuses, if business weren't in threat of being taxed to death from out of control tax and spend liberals in Congress. I just betcha we would. Oh, and "labor" union reform is much badly needed too. Oh, I am sure SEIU has NO interest AT ALL in seeing Obama get reelected - there's no corruption there at all - I am just sure they're innocent too.

  • @Agent4Bauer Oh sure, the benevolent corporations would make us all rich if it weren't for the big bad government preventing them because it wants us all to be slaves under welfare...

    You guys crack me up.

  • @SpitfireOFatj Hey dumbass, it's not up to a corporation to make you rich - it's up to YOU! Sorry, but you can't blame that on anyones else but your own lack of ambition and drive.

    Try again.

  • @Agent4Bauer Oh sure, I bet yer a rich man.

    heh.

  • @SpitfireOFatj And I bet yer living off some form of government aid because you are too sorry to provide for yourself due to the evil corporations keeping you down. heh

  • @Agent4Bauer That's about as funny as the guy who claimed the government is paying a trillion dollars to give illegals free health care.

  • @SpitfireOFatj That is funny because it's gonna be a helluva lot more than that!

  • @SpitfireOFatj $2T? Seriously? Provide a link or stfu.

  • @phredbeard Heard it on the radio today, I'll look for a link.

  • @phredbeard The Washington Post just ran the story:

"Companies pile up cash but remain hesitant to add jobs"

1.8 trillion they are sitting on until 2012.

  • @SpitfireOFatj So, let's see. The government is now 11 TRILLION dollars in debt, expected to be 14 Trillion in 2012, but that isn't enough, now they want peoples savings. Not to pay off any of the debt they have accumulated, but for more of their spending. When will people learn? What does it take? That's one full year of gross domestic product. That's crazy. She isn't stupid so it must be dementia or insanity.
