It looks a lot liek the actual game, but it's not. This is a pre-rendered cutscene. I hate when video game companies try to pass off cutscenes as if it were the real game. It's really shady.
I suspect though that they have scripted up the control of the characters to achieve what they wanted, the animations and graphics are exaclty the same as I'd get in game.
My guess this is SOE's private server hence the camera fly by - something the developers would be able to code in easily for a demo.

WoW is still the top game. Has a great graphics engine despite being eons old. It has an art style which draws more appeal than these generic graphics you see everywhere

This game is really fun, I have played it for awile and it is extremely fun, even when I first played at level 1 I was having a blast. I have tried to play WoW many times but I can't even play the trial. Just don't like it at all. I highly recommend this game :D
haha this is bullshit, when a group, back when i played, went up to to DFC there was like 30 spells being casted at once, dozens of buffs activated, this is way to slowpace to be realistic ^_^ ahh i miss this game now

Bad programming... but that isnt a game performance issue since bad code does not equal standard or normal game performance issues. EQ2 does not have memory leaks at the moment since the poor coding that created them was fixed. When bad code is introduced that causes crashes, we dont call that game performance unless it cannot be patched or fixed, we call it a bad patch.

LOL the nvidia 275 is better than the XFX Radeon HD 4890. The only part where that card excels is with crossfire, but even then, ATI's driver support for games is horrible, so you usually end up with shit fps regardless of crossfire or not.

The raids are very similar to WoW and require coordination, skill, and gear. Leveling is alot harder in this game and the graphics are alot better. The first EQ Was fun but the graphics werent so great... All the spell special effects were pretty much the same and so were the monsters... Atleast untill you camped enough to explore the rest of the world. WoW Has many differant creatures starting off from the begining. Pretty good graphics, gameplay and more. I also like the fantasy look. Now EQ2... Cant say seeing as how i havent played it, but it looks awesome. Great spell effects, awesome character designs...

I've played WoW for 4 yrs, Its a decent game, but its really old now. AoC just came out played it for a week, and It has so many errors with it, it made me quit my subscription. Now im looking for a new MMO and I think EQ2 Will take its place.

lol no, the game just keeps getting better and better and more added on. Since launch there has been 3 expansions, and 3 mini expansions called Adventure Packs. THere is no end in site! EverQuest 1, the original, is still going on strong and its almost 10 years old now.

EQ2's graphics are gritty and realistic, and very well done, and require a much more powerful machine to do them justice than WoW's do.
WoW's graphics are the way they are for two reasons. One is historical: Warcraft's graphics have historically been cartoony and exaggerated because it makes it easier to tell units apart in an RTS.
The other reason is pragmatic: WoW is aimed at a very, very wide audience. This is why the gameplay is so simplistic and why the hardware requirements are low.

EQ2 wont keep you hooked, its a pretty boring game like WoW when you get to a certain level, in WoW's case, 80.
the only time i ever bother to login is when they do a really big patch.
But apparently, even that didnt keep me hooked for 2 days.
Anyway Qbis, no one cares if you got to 80 in a week or less. If you even bothered to put that much effort into the game, you prolly have no damn life =.=!

The graphics look pretty good in this game. But the gameplay itsself looks VERY boring. Imo WoW is better because it has an awesome storyline and the PvP/PvE is phenominal. But graphic-wise this game has WoW beat.

hmm 2 weeks ago.. maybe you havent got a lv 80.. so you could be elt off. sure lvl 60 and 70 WoW pvp was fun, if not a bit repetitive, grinding marks. but 80 WoW is so unbalanced.
certain calsses can deal so much damage, the battles over in seconds. its just not fun

I have to admit that since the release of the expansion WoLK , PvP became unbalance. Blizzard made a huge revamp in skill tree. Heck, DK alone needs a huge nerf.
Just for the Record, I play on Blackrock and I have two level 60 characters. Rogue and DK. 3rd to reach level 80 DK on the server.. I'm not bragging. I'm simply letting you know that I'm not new to PvP on WoW.

You can't brag with that. Ok that sounded like an insult, but we all agree that those who approach WoW with a pvp attitude will find themselves in hell ... or in heaven depending on which class they choose. WoW has PvP as an extra, you can't take it as a PVP game, it's PVE is something I like though, even though WoW as a whole doesn't grab my attention. I'm just pulling out some research on EQ2 atm, maybe this is a game that'll keep me hooked :)

Im sick of all the retarded WoW fanboys who think this is a primitive MMO. Please do your research before you embarrass yourself. The raids are very similar to WoW and require coordination, skill, and gear. Leveling is alot harder in this game and the graphics are alot better. There are more classes and alot more character customazation. I dont like either game more then the other just pisses me off when WoW fanboys bash this game.

I am currently playing WoW because when I tired EQ@ the plate glove was like an oven mitt I just couldnt get past that. I juast found out how to get that to look different but alreasy have lvl 59 pally on wow

Not only is EQ 2 the best game I have encountered, but the community is also the best out of all MMOs I have played.

In WoW there are a lot of Diablo players which ruined WoW community. That never stopped me from playing though. All I had to do was enable my chat filters. hehe

Ok, you play EQ fine. But facts are facts. Example: -WoW has more than 13,000,000 subscribers (there are that many for a reason.)
-The gameplay on EQ is extremely sluggish just watch the fight scene (yah sure they're low level)
-WoW raiding is more complex, it's not a bunch of people standing in one spot the entire fight sequence spamming spells.
-WoW PvP amazing.
-Blizzard customer support, is fast and reliable.
-Hackers and Dupers are an extremely big problem in EQ.

The first EQ Was fun but the graphics werent so great... All the spell special effects were pretty much the same and so were the monsters... Atleast untill you camped enough to explore the rest of the world. WoW Has many differant creatures starting off from the begining. Pretty good graphics, gameplay and more. I also like the fantasy look. Now EQ2... Cant say seeing as how i havent played it, but it looks awesome. Great spell effects, awesome character designs...

I've played WoW for 4 yrs, Its a decent game, but its really old now. AoC just came out played it for a week, and It has so many errors with it, it made me quit my subscription. Now im looking for a new MMO and I think EQ2 Will take its place.

lol no, the game just keeps getting better and better and more added on. Since launch there has been 3 expansions, and 3 mini expansions called Adventure Packs. THere is no end in site! EverQuest 1, the original, is still going on strong and its almost 10 years old now.

ive been playing WoW since it first came out and personaly i think its great and better than EQ2, EQ2 looks pretty sweet and it does have better graphics ive never played it but by the looks of watching the pvp vids on here i think WoW has better pvp gameplay because theres a certin skill in pvp with wow, by the looks of pvp in EQ2 is that u stand infront of eachother, move rarely and take turns hitting, in wow u move behind ur target and time ur attacks plz correct me if im wrong about EQ2

Anyone who just stands in front of another player in EQ2 pvp is just dead. Beware though, EQ2 pvp is much more vicious than WoW. I`d go to a normal server before attempting EQ2 pvp. If you don`t, you`ll just quit because of constant death. Shoot, if you`re skilled you`re still going to die constantly.

eq is much more serious then wow, you can tell by the graphics.
its true that the characters in wow seem to fit with the word better, but thats easily done in a game where everything is over exagerated. if they made every tree,rock,bush,leaf, and charater look childish, they would fit just as good as wow.
oh and btw wow has roughly 20% of the content that eq does. its also much smaller, thats a fact.

yes i have, and i understand that its supposed to look like that. but it doesnt take away from the fact that eq2 has better graphics as graphics go. take most other games for example, the graphics are always judged on how realistic and life-like they are. not saying a more animaited game cant have dazzling visuals, but they are almost never refered to as having "great graphics"

EQ2's graphics are gritty and realistic, and very well done, and require a much more powerful machine to do them justice than WoW's do.
WoW's graphics are the way they are for two reasons. One is historical: Warcraft's graphics have historically been cartoony and exaggerated because it makes it easier to tell units apart in an RTS.
The other reason is pragmatic: WoW is aimed at a very, very wide audience. This is why the gameplay is so simplistic and why the hardware requirements are low.
