It looks a lot liek the actual game, but it's not. This is a pre-rendered cutscene. I hate when video game companies try to pass off cutscenes as if it were the real game. It's really shady.
I suspect though that they have scripted up the control of the characters to achieve what they wanted, the animations and graphics are exaclty the same as I'd get in game.
My guess this is SOE's private server hence the camera fly by - something the developers would be able to code in easily for a demo.

WoW is still the top game. Has a great graphics engine despite being eons old. It has an art style which draws more appeal than these generic graphics you see everywhere

This game is really fun, I have played it for awile and it is extremely fun, even when I first played at level 1 I was having a blast. I have tried to play WoW many times but I can't even play the trial. Just don't like it at all. I highly recommend this game :D
haha this is bullshit, when a group, back when i played, went up to to DFC there was like 30 spells being casted at once, dozens of buffs activated, this is way to slowpace to be realistic ^_^ ahh i miss this game now

Bad programming... but that isnt a game performance issue since bad code does not equal standard or normal game performance issues. EQ2 does not have memory leaks at the moment since the poor coding that created them was fixed. When bad code is introduced that causes crashes, we dont call that game performance unless it cannot be patched or fixed, we call it a bad patch.

actually u can hook up 2 monitors off 1 graphics card and a crossfirex thats perfectly matched gives u a 80% performance boost as for those using "hybrid" crossfire that spec blows. As for the making fun of the 12gigs guy..i actually play a heavily modded game tht takes 6gigs of my ram (and im talking REAL mods that add content not those screen dressings like in WOW..) .Keep in mind online gaming is not where u find real graphics as they make the games to appeal to a wider market

LOL the nvidia 275 is better than the XFX Radeon HD 4890. The only part where that card excels is with crossfire, but even then, ATI's driver support for games is horrible, so you usually end up with shit fps regardless of crossfire or not.

The raids are very similar to WoW and require coordination, skill, and gear. Leveling is alot harder in this game and the graphics are alot better. I play EQ2. This is a very 'fluffed' cinematic interpretation of what it would be like from a more realistic perspective.
In game for example, the tank would hold all agro. If you look closely, the scout and monk are kicking an orc's ass, while the tank is hacking away at a completely different target. Additionally, the mages are one-shot-ing multiple orcs.

The first EQ Was fun but the graphics werent so great... All the spell special effects were pretty much the same and so were the monsters... Atleast untill you camped enough to explore the rest of the world. WoW Has many differant creatures starting off from the begining. Pretty good graphics, gameplay and more. I also like the fantasy look. Now EQ2... Cant say seeing as how i havent played it, but it looks awesome. Great spell effects, awesome character designs...

You should take your information before calling someone a "tard" when your information isn't even correct. EQ came out in 1999. EQ, I'm sure has taken some things from other games, but for the most part it was revolutionary.

Idk I'm not really thinking the updates are to "kewl" I mean it all feels the same. I honestly enjoyed playing through WotLK more than the end game.
( I say WotLK because I never had a character hit cap before wrath.)

EQ2 wont keep you hooked, its a pretty boring game like WoW when you get to a certain level, in WoW's case, 80.
the only time i ever bother to login is when they do a really big patch.
But apparently, even that didnt keep me hooked for 2 days.
Anyway Qbis, no one cares if you got to 80 in a week or less. If you even bothered to put that much effort into the game, you prolly have no damn life =.=!

You're kidding right? Any decent vid card($200-300) nowdays combined with a decent C2Duo and 4gb of ram will be fine. This game was made around the same time as WoW, 5 years ago. It's not that hard to run it anymore.

The graphics look pretty good in this game. But the gameplay itsself looks VERY boring. Imo WoW is better because it has an awesome storyline and the PvP/PvE is phenominal. But graphic-wise this game has WoW beat.

If you think it's unbalance why the hell would Blizzard put up large amount of money for their tournaments that attracts all classes to participate?
Maybe you should try to get out of all the Trial games you're playing and start paying for your game you might get better enjoyment out of it

hmm 2 weeks ago.. maybe you havent got a lv 80.. so you could be elt off. sure lvl 60 and 70 WoW pvp was fun, if not a bit repetitive, grinding marks. but 80 WoW is so unbalanced.
certain calsses can deal so much damage, the battles over in seconds. its just not fun

You're missing the point I'm trying to raise, dude. I was comparing EQ PvP to WoW PvP.
I have to admit that since the release of the expansion WoLK , PvP became unbalance. Blizzard made a huge revamp in skill tree. Heck, DK alone needs a huge nerf.
Just for the Record, I play on Blackrock and I have two level 60 characters. Rogue and DK. 3rd to reach level 80 DK on the server.. I'm not bragging. I'm simply letting you know that I'm not new to PvP on WoW.

You can't brag with that. Ok that sounded like an insult, but we all agree that those who approach WoW with a pvp attitude will find themselves in hell ... or in heaven depending on which class they choose. WoW has PvP as an extra, you can't take it as a PVP game, it's PVE is something I like though, even though WoW as a whole doesn't grab my attention. I'm just pulling out some research on EQ2 atm, maybe this is a game that'll keep me hooked :)

Im sick of all the retarded WoW fanboys who think this is a primitive MMO. Please do your research before you embarrass yourself. The raids are very similar to WoW and require coordination, skill, and gear. Leveling is alot harder in this game and the graphics are alot better. There are more classes and alot more character customazation. I dont like either game more then the other just pisses me off when WoW fanboys bash this game.

I am currently playing WoW because when I tired EQ@ the plate glove was like an oven mitt I just couldnt get past that. I juast found out how to get that to look different but alreasy have lvl 59 pally on wow

Everquest 2 is the best game ever created in every aspect, and i say this as a hardcore WoW addict. (Yes i played EQ2 for 3 months, then i stayed with WoW cause of friends and guild)

I have to agree with you. I try to keep up with EQ 2 but I have a lot of other MMO responsibilities and friendships as well.
Not only is EQ 2 the best game I have encountered, but the community is also the best out of all MMOs I have played.

In WoW there are a lot of Diablo players which ruined WoW community. That never stopped me from playing though. All I had to do was enable my chat filters. hehe

I remember getting back onto EQ1 and ranting about how freaking amazing this video was (this is only a small part of an original intro to EQ2 video designed to explain how gameplay would be, despite the face that vertualy all the gameplay has been changed since the game's launch.

I play EQ2. This is a very 'fluffed' cinematic interpretation of what it would be like from a more realistic perspective.
In game for example, the tank would hold all agro. If you look closely, the scout and monk are kicking an orc's ass, while the tank is hacking away at a completely different target. Additionally, the mages are one-shot-ing multiple orcs.
Hehe, but it's definitely attractive and very cinematic. Very good 'acting.'

Ok, you play EQ fine. But facts are facts. Example: -WoW has more than 13,000,000 subscribers (there are that many for a reason.)
-The gameplay on EQ is extremely sluggish just watch the fight scene (yah sure they're low level)
-WoW raiding is more complex, it's not a bunch of people standing in one spot the entire fight sequence spamming spells.
-WoW PvP amazing.
-Blizzard customer support, is fast and reliable.
-Hackers and Dupers are an extremely big problem in EQ.

The first EQ Was fun but the graphics werent so great... All the spell special effects were pretty much the same and so were the monsters... Atleast untill you camped enough to explore the rest of the world. WoW Has many differant creatures starting off from the begining. Pretty good graphics, gameplay and more. I also like the fantasy look. Now EQ2... Cant say seeing as how i havent played it, but it looks awesome. Great spell effects, awesome character designs...

im not realy sure..i like EQ2 a bit more than WoW but i stoped playing it because SOE dont care about this game... they should do better PvP (and not PvP servers wich dont work) mage BGs like in WoW.... thats everything i have to say but i think in near future ill come back to EQ 2 (i miss my Iksar necro =/ ..... )

I've played WoW for 4 yrs, Its a decent game, but its really old now. AoC just came out played it for a week, and It has so many errors with it, it made me quit my subscription. Now im looking for a new MMO and I think EQ2 Will take its place.
