  • intro reminds me heavy metal hamsters

  • @viktorhy actually the intro of heavy metal hamsters is takem from the original version of rat bat blue (i mean, from DP version)

  • I'm very fan of Helloween, but I'm very fan of Deep Purple too, both are great music. But to be honest, I don't like this version, is boring. Deep Purple original song have more feeling.

  • 3:45 - 3:57 :)

  • Sure works fer me! What's all the bitchin' about?

  • crank the bass!

  • Ritchie Blackmore is unsurpassed!!!

  • ammm heavy metal hamsters???

  • @lizziepunk Fuck yeah

  • Strange to change key in the solo. Strange tones sometimes. :-)

  • Dedicated old school Deep Purple fan here....This track is the mutts nuts. Cleaner and crisper than the original. If Carlsberg could do covers.................

  • Great guitar solo and tempo and Andi Deris is good !!

  • Cool, sounds like a good job to me and I love Purple!

  • buen cover !

  • Noone can come close DP:s version.

But it´s almost impossible to play Rat Bat Blue without making it gooood ( that is if the one doing knowing how to play their instrument ).

  • My only "thing" here is VERY picky... Drummer needs a cowbell. LOL. You guys tore this up. Awesome job! This song, in my opinion, IS Rock and Roll! Great job, guys... Nice hommage. Of course the Purple will always kick your asses but, wow.... Great job for a cover. A lot of bands don't have the balls to even try this...

  • It must be hell covering a Purple song since noone can make it better.

But I liked this. Far better than Malmsteen & Joe Lynn Turner on the Tribute CD.

  • Dragging the tempo, singing it two steps lower than the original. Sorry. You need to do better than this. You should be arrested by the pitch and tempo police. Fail!

  • Nice, but it also makes you realise how brilliant Purple were

  • Great cover. Very underrated band.

The godfathers of melodic metal !

  • Good tribute from a great band to a master band !

  • this is awesome, screw u blackiewhite7. great cover guys!

  • intro from

    heavy metal hamsters

  • deep purple's Rat Bat Blue is much better

  • @BlackieWhite7 But of course !

  • @BlackieWhite7 LOL but that doesnt mean that Deep Purple is better then HELLOWEEN!

  • @Z3RK777 Deep Purple isn't better than Helloween?I hope you're joking

  • @144church LOL I love both bands and music isnt for compare theres no good theres no better music isnt a battle music its pure art (I'm talking about real music ofc) you enjoy some bands then other ... I prefer Helloween then Deep Purple but that doesnt mean that I cant like deep purple I love deep purple and I know a lot of Deep Purple musics on guitar ....

  • @144church FUCK YOU POSER

  • @coua78 Great comeback! You just proved the brilliance of Helloween fans

  • @144church WHAT IS HELLOWEEN, WALLS OF JERICHO ALBUM AND SOME KEEPER'S SONGS, THEN NOTHING, THEY ONLY STEAL MAIDEN RIFFS WITH NEOCLASSICAL ELEMENTS AND A LITTLE BIT FASTER THAN ITS PREDECESSOR, SO IF YOURE GOING TO TALK ABOUT DEEP PURPLE, WASH YOUR FUCKIN MOUTH PUNK AND SHUT THE HELL UP

  • @coua78 Deep Purple is better than Helloween period.Thats what I have been saying since my first post.I can't even believe I'm responding to such an idiot who can't read.

  • @coua78 ok dude, you like deep purple, me too, but say that helloween steal maiden riffs? wow what a retarded, neoclassical elements? are you fucking stupid, deep purple rocks, but you are a fucking retarded

  • I love gamma ray, but this pisses me off. The intro riff from New World Order is almost exactly the same like this

  • When did New World Order come out? The intro is from Helloween album Pink Bubbles go Ape from song Heavy Metal Hamsters. Released '91

  • I think 2002? Or something like that:-/

  • Ok. You should check out that Pink Bubbles go Ape album. It's infact ok plate.

  • I know it for quite a long time - not exactly my favourite, but I love Helloween.

Ive just never realised that Gamma ray kinda ripped off the song intro.

  • actually helloween used the rat bat blue riff for the beginning of heavy metal hamsters....

  • True. True.

  • has it been lowered half a key?

  • отлично. высший класс! не хуже оригинала!real drive!

  • yes the Gillan's scream is much higher and the Lord solo is unbeatable...but nice cover as well

  • devils only i can say...

  • Not as purple, lil' to slow and Gillan does it higher at the choorus, but good cover anyways!

  • Very good music, and composition of deep interpetração of helloween perfect combination.

  • Holy shit this sounds just like New World Order with Gamma Ray.

  • Gamma Ray and this band sound like Deep Purple because they wrote this song back in 1972!

  • спасибо.

  • The riff, where it all started. It the riff from Watch Your Step by Bobby Parker, it influenced so much songs: The Beatles: Day Tripper I Feel Fine Led Zeppelin: Moby Dick The Girl I Love Deep Purple: Rat Bat Blues Santana: (Forgot Title)... The list continues... Great Songs!
  • rat bat blue is definitely plagiarism

but I feel fine and moby dick, i wouldnt consider plagiarism

  • I feel fine and Watch Your Step have the same intro....

  • no theres a few notes different. enough, i think, to call it an original riff

  • they were just influenced by that song, which led to the intro I feel fine... Bobby even said it...

  • well of course Bobby's gonna say it

  • Lol! Good point! You completely changed my opinion! It's the Beatles! Of course you want to say you were an influence!

  • The Beginning of Wedding Nails By Porcupine Tree sounds very similar also.

  • HOLY SHIT BIG TIME! Then Porcupine Tree did copied the riff, because it's too similar by far!

  • dude look for "heavy metal hamsters" from helloween its like the same riff but on a different tone

  • who do we think we are is a totally underrated album. by far.

  • Agreed.

  • I used to hate this song, but i've warmed up to it and now i love it :D

  • so sick man, thnx for putting it up
