When you made that single box float, i remembered there is a much easier way to do this. Put a double box for example under the single box. Then delete the double box that is under the sigle box. It will be floating in mid air.

wow thanx i needed that for my recon vid that ive been creating for the greatest recon suicide ever where 1 pylon gets whipped through cannons and i go through teleporters ending up in one splatter by a pylon and than as soon as I respawn i get hit yet again and Shishka from bungie said he considered it and hed give me recon if i put in flying sheild doors for it to bounce of! see you when i have recon!my gt is Master Owen 117

Yea, all the objects which can't be moved when stationary for 2 seconds... you can't do this with crates and barrels sadly.

there would be definalty alot of pissed of players in halo3 if you make a map nothing but shield doors as maze type of stag shield doors as walls and as a ceiling so no one can throw gernades or shoot you from above or at the side of the shields only in close combat

if you have multiple controllers, you can sign in guests and place more than 1 door at a time.

also you can't drive on top of them, vehicles will bounce off.

Only teleporters, because bungie didnt intend for objects such as warthogs or traffic cones, but weapon holders and teleporters float.

Thanks man! I've been messing around with the floating shield thing in forge for an hour and I was like man I should just google it lol. I'm making a forge map like a pacman maze but it will have 2 levels and some floating shields so vechicles can use them as bridges but people can still drop down. Thanks again!

another good way id to put a box down then put one on top of that then delete the bottom box and the top one will float i use this alot to save on my budget ........ oh and floating staircases are fun also

These new items come with the Heroic Map pack, and can only be used on those 3 maps. But they replaced some items from the original maps, so some items that can be forged onto the original maps cannot be placed on the new maps, and items from the new maps can't be placed on the old maps.

Try saving up some money and buying the new maps. They're well worth it :D

actually to make things float ( not shield doors) you can simply build a tower with boxes(single or double) and put what you want to float on top, then delete the other boxes. make sure to from forge to human then back to forge before you delete the bottom objects.

Actually, a more reliable way to make items float is to stack some items, place a reciever node on top, THEN place the item that you want to float, then delete the stacked items, but DON'T delete the node. The node helps keep the item floating, and it cannot be moved from it's original spot, making it great for floating bases and such. Hope this helped :D

well if you want to make a raceing map with a banked turn then u would use this

your way with floating objects helps with the maps that came with halo but i fondry they will stay in place without teliporters!!! yay hope this helped also :D
