is it normal to put your nomex hoodies over your mask so you cant see anything? i was thaught that they should fit where the glass of the masks starts and not on the mask
would have been safer if the nozzleman positioned the hose and nozzle aligned straight when he asked for water. anyways....still a good save controlling that nozzle... fire trainings are just so tiring yet rewarding....nice jobs you guys........
Well he asked for the engineer to start water, and then the engineer should have said "water coming" once he starts the flow.
I think this did happen, but the message did not come through clearly.. Since i heard the radios key up 3 times after he said start water. Any how he was not ready, but you learn from mistakes.
P.S: Although i had a engineer start flow on a line i was still pulling off truck once.. Almost broke my wrist. Safety officer had a field day with him.
Once he picked the radio again wondering if they got the order to charge, I knew the nozzle was gonna get wild. lol. Good save though.
And paser11385, it's seriously so different everywhere, it's hilarious. When I went through training, we had three on the line and the nozzle man had to check conditions ext/int through the live burn.
