Minnows do the same thing. You put them into a square container so they don't kill themselves. Also where did you get these? From a store or the wild?
@dellow100 it is, because they need to move and to have a living space. Otherwise they swirl around all the time bouncing to their neighbours. I doubt he/she realized what is really going on, and what shit he caused.
cool vid, i used to catch these guys when i was little, i'd put them in a "TANG" jar (emptied of the tang course) with water and drop some pebbles and plants in the jar as well changing the water every 2 ddays, they'd last about a month till i get bored and release 'em, i used to feed 'em "garri" (its ground cassava)
very common in the UK they are Whirlygigs very talented they have four eyes and specialise in eating mosquito larvae. They dive when disturbed and fly off when pond evaporates or no more prey.
Are they eating each other?
