  • What a lovely mohawk!

  • @weirdgirl4life This isn't abuse per say, tho the owners are way too harsh. An animal of any species should feel comforted around their owners. They laugh about the situation which makes it worse.

  • these people are not nice to the bird. she is too harsh and the cockatiel dosen't like her and the guy thinks it's funny. give the bird to someone who will love it better.

  • Geez learn how to handle a cockatiel first before getting one.

  • vanessa you bitch i want to rape you

  • poor bird

  • 50 euro for cockatiel!!!

  • @MrDeo97 70 to get him out of there

  • animal abuse? please biches please....

but u should try to not make it scared. but wtf animal abuse? noooo

  • u asshole thats pet abuse it should be asshole attacks cockatiel not attack of the cockatiel

  • haha to everyone who commented saying that it was abuse, how about you look up abuse? Abuse it hurting the animal in a horrible way, all she did was told him to get off her shoulder, he was being cheeky so she's nudged him to say get off, if you've been saying they shouldn't have pets then all I have to say to you is wow. There is nothing wrong with this video baha.

  • Why u just didn't let she to be on ur shoulder? U made her afraid, its so wrong! Look like u're thinking that's not a bird, that's a toy!!! You must not have any animals!!!! >: ((((((

  • @Mara6998 lol i think the human owner should have some say in what animals inhabit the area right next to her face

  • that bird looks freaked out..i have 4 cockatiels and one of them is still not used to people and hands..although he roams around the house, plays, sings and shit...but i have never tried messing with him like touching him or making him sit on my finger or shoulder by force...this fat bitch needs to be choked ..people who think this ain't annoying the bird...all i can say is i hope you don't have pets cause if you do...i feel really sorry for them

  • how the hell is this animal abuse? just fooling around with it..

  • evil dumb bch's! that bird had a little bit of trust for you and now you spoilt it you dumb ass lady give that bird to a better person to look after!

  • bunch of friken retardes. dont get another pet, youde just ruin anothers' life...

  • Poor cockatiel. It always saddens me when I see animal abuse.

  • You cannot shout ''On the shelf'' and expect it to go on the shelf... Poor 'Tiel :~(

  • Hahaha. People in these comments don't know shit about cockatiels.

  • Wow, I hope your tiel flys away to a home with nice people who know how to handle a tiel

  • This is not how to handle a 'Tiel. They don't like hands/ objects shoved in their faces. They should be trained to perch properly... on a finger. A very easy trick which requires a gentle 'nudge' against the bottom part of their belly, and they will soon learn to "step up" on the finger.

  • @recyclecongress unless they bite it..

she didnt do anything to him she only tried to get him on the shelf and he only jumped on her head then on the door...

she clearly couldnt even touch them cause he tried to bite her >.>...

  • Tidy your room and your kitchen, typical english dirty house.

  • zzohie55 it is not pet abuse she was only getting it of her sholder we have our own cockatiel and thats fine...THICK SHIT.....You can say no to me wen u really get 1 for yourself and its stuck on your sholder.

  • wow have it attack for real

  • he bit her because he didn't wanted to get off her shoulder.

she's not abusing him or anything. look at his crest,he is not being agressive!

  • You are bulling him poor cockatiel I Hope He Bites You ! Rrr...

  • Check his crest! He's not scared, not angry. He's just being cheeky and doesn't want to leave her shoulder. He is fine, really.

  • This was sad, poor tiel is scared. These people shouldn't be allowed pets.

  • Attack of the Cockatiel ? More like Attack of the of the plump pommie girl.

  • you have to bond with your bird first poor thing is so scared. just start by talking/singing to your bird in their cage and work from there.

  • @wickedbatman One On One, Thats The Key.

  • not all birds are obedient at first you gotta train them, this is not pet abuse, they have to be trained

  • hahahhahahhha youre such an idiot, you know you will never get the bird to trust you if you keep handling it like that? What goes around comes around.

  • idiot. how can you act like that with the tiel?! pushing it off you.. AND DONT BE SO DAMN NOISY. the first thing you learn is that the tiel always makes the dicision, IT comes to YOU, NOT the other way around.

  • Poor bird! You scared him half to death probably.

  • You have been denied by the tiel

    Cockatiel: 1

    Human owners: 0

  • I wish the bird shat on your face. I think it was a bad idea buying the tiel considering the fact you're afraid of it. Idiot.

  • wow -- you guys reLAAX... looks like one of those retard store bought tiels neway, they're flighty fucktard dumbasses -- mines hand raised from birth and all it wants to do is hang with me, tell me stories in its chittery bird talk.. i hates scared ass store tiels they suck i could care less if this one was ... eep... scared

  • @kwazhimself I know right

  • you have to see my cockatiel he attacks you when he is only on the ground he will attack your feets when you are 3 feet away if i am spelling rong i am dutch

  • dumb fat people lol

  • poor little bird

  • I think you scared him with you face

  • aaww hes a cutie

  • THEN they will step up on it. this behavior is NOT an attempt to bite, but balance before stepping up. you will know the bite movement by body posture.. as indicated when you put your hand up the second time and he raised up spread wings and darted his head at you. THAT time he felt he needed to defend himself.

you have a lovely companion, a sweet bird. maybe consider observing his body language a bit more to avoid situations like what happened in this video and you 2 will be happier for it:)

  • then instead of having him step up, you put your hand under your shirt and shook him, which caused him to be more confused and started to become a bit fearful in his behavior, thus getting higher(your head), then you tried to grab or push him off you and thats when his fight/flight kicked in stronger and flew away to a higher spot.

remember that parrots use thier beaks/mouths like a hand. they touch something they wish to step onto to test it for safety, to see if its strong enough to stand on

  • "I" know what im talking about as i am a bird owner, cockatiels. and your video started out great.. the bird happy to be with you vocalizing showed it. there was one little thing that created the confusing behavior with you both....... you reached for him to step up so you could put him on the shelf or where ever and when he leaned forward to to touch your hand with his beak to balance before stepping up, you pulled your hand away, thus he got confused and became a little defensive.

  • this really proves gingers dont have souls

  • If you weren't shaking the bird up and down on your shoulder scaring him. He probs wouldnt of bit you. Also when you do that your bird could of lost traction and fell and it would of really hurt it. You really need to think about what you are doing. You need to find out more on cockatiel behaviour. Also when there crest is high like that it means that there not happy. I agree with zzohie its abusive because you were laughing at the birds apparent discomfort. So shame on you

  • who s the smelly jinger shit

  • i like your bird and i think he is a lutinos plz anser

  • You guys are HOMOSEXUALS!! Poor cockatiel.

  • This is sad, poor cockatiel.

  • You guys are fucking stupid...the bird isn't hurt. So just calm the FUCK DOWN! IT IS NOT DYING IT'S SCARED!

Calm down. You guys just want something to complain about.

  • GO COCKATIEL!

  • When a tiel' molts it DOES NOT LOSE SO MANY FEATHERS IT IS BALD. Pepper my cockatiel is 8 months old and starting to molt into his adult feathers. He is not bald ANYWHERE, and all that is happening is that he is growing new feathers. NOT LOOSING FEATHERS. This is abuse whether or not you like it! And you say used to her?? Not from what I see.

  • Ever think that the 'tiel (yes, that is a valid abbreviation among the avian world) might have been molting? That could definitely explain the "plucked" look. A lot of factors go into plucking. Granted, the woman didn't quite know how to handle him, but keep in mind that these birds have a mind of their own. Obviously, the bird was at least somewhat used to her, it stayed on her. Also, that cockatiel is not an albino, but rather a color called lutino, which is a mutation from the "common grey".

  • It is plucking! Please sell him. He looks stressed and scared. Look at other videos and see how their tiel is acting different from yours. Please consider not forcing it to get on your hand. And also try to treat it like another human being, not a servant. My tiel get to eat some of my dinner, and gets scraches on the head. But if he's a bad mood, there is no way in hell I will force him on my hand.

  • @Sethybeth me too, i give mine kisses every day and share my dinner and other meals she likes like pizza and cheese and chocolate with her and isnt nearly as crazy as that and i've only had her for two months and if you want it on your figer you brush along its belly upword so it steps on your finger then lift not shove your finger at BE GENTLE!!!

  • @161202scar heads up your not supposed to give em chocolate.

  • @bobyho I KNOW THAT!!! Im just saying i was eating a fudge bar one day and she started sharing it, she also ate my truffel one day but she only takes maybe 1 or 2 small bites

  • awww i miss my white cocktail likes yours mine could do that he will fly around house be in my shoulder make me laugh but he died to young at age 1 :[

  • who ever has posted "nice cockatiel" "cute cockatiel" really has no idea about birds. I don't think this lady is stupid or even mean, she just has NO idea how to look after birds and should try to sell that bird asap. hopefully its not too badly damaged and still is able to be tamed in a proper home. Sad how its already started plucking from the stress.

  • damn ginger and their foreighn language poor birdy

  • why there is always someone screaming: Animal abuse!!! Any time people post a video of their pets??? I know she is just really abusing the crap right out of him, that is why he is all plucked out and miserable looking... And for some strange reason he still does not want to fly away from her till almost the very end.. I wonder why, maybe he is held at gunpoint, somewhere to the left of the camera...

  • @tati31251 because they have no friends, dad, and are just straight up pussy whiny fucktard emo babies who would cry at the drop of a hat. i 'ate em too!

  • poor cockatiel...

  • This is straight up pet abuse. The poor tiel is scared the entire video you can tell by his posture. This is not entertainment.

  • @zzohie55 if the bird was scared it would fly away. The lowering of the head from 0.04 to 0.06 is him asking to be preened which he wouldn't do if he was scared. Sorry, but you have no idea what you are talking about.

  • @zzohie55 wow you and the 14 idiots that thumbed you up are retards, if it was scared it has WINGS fucking idiots.

  • @zzohie55 he is scared because hes probabnly bought from pet shop not trained and being aggresive i had mine for 4 years and he was aggresive from day 1 till he died and i was trying to feed him they the nicest way but he was always aggresive. u cant attack ppl like that...

  • your kinda hurting him when you fling him in the air but nice vid :D

  • Awrrrr... he has such beauty-full exclamation hairs.

    <3!

  • never wear earings near birds

  • LOL! it jumped onto ur head!!!

  • you have not to take your hand away when approuching the cockatiel or it will see that you are scared and keep doing it it will peck you all the time, mine first did the same when i got it and i kept putting my hand to it and never took it away and eventually it does not peck you after that maybe now and again but they all do that

  • albinos cockatiel are the best

  • wow he's beautiful!

  • wat u need to do is: sit below where he is sitting in the cage and talk to him. when u go to let him out, try to bribe him to come out with his/her favourite food. it worked on my tiel.

  • they're not "teils". that makes you sound like a dumbass

  • um, excuse me? do u know me? u dnt have the right to call anyone a dumbass. u dont know them therefore u have no right to judge them so quickly!

  • @XsoaproX i said it makes you "sound" like one because you can't call them by their proper names. I CAN judge you by your comment. im judging how you use ur language on the comment. its so other people don't hate you later.

  • @BakuraSR45 What the hell? Go eat yer Wheaties!

    <3.

  • "Venessa" is acting kinda stupid

    It's still funny though

  • it fly on your head it's happened to my mom anyway both ways it's funny

  • After getting our cockatiel's wings clipped several years ago it wouldn't let us touch it with our hands......it still wont get on our hands at all, and its been like 8 years....

  • our birds like that, the thing to do is to clicker train it

  • Yeah our birds like that

  • Hahah!!

  • You are going straight to hell. If this is your sense of humor, I seriously wonder how many people you get to hate you every time you think you say something funny.

  • Jerk-A-Rue, You obviously have no sense of humor or according to ThInTrM any understanding of just how to care for your bird.

Then again Im all for opening the window and lettingem fly away. Really youre too much of a dullard to reason with. LOL

  • Oh yeah, because pet abuse is a very lulzy topic to joke about as indicated by the general reception of your hillarious "joke" thus far. Honestly, after 16 years of letting the bird out (except for the one time my parents had its wings clipped) it hasn't once flown away because I'm not stupid enough to open the window. Maybe you are, that's why you get your bird's wings clipped.

  • it is important to let a cockatiel out of the cage i let mine out everyday and he doesant bite well he did first but after 30 mins he was fine i no how to get them to trust you and if you ever sell the cockatiel i will have it

  • ok mine hates me please help how will i let him no he can trust me??? please help

  • If you just got him, leave him alone for a day or two, only approach to feed him. When you feed him, put the feed in your hand, open the door, and hold your hand outside the door, offering the bird feed. He might step on your hand to get it. Leave the door open and just sit in the room and read or something. He'll get used to your presence. DO NOT, keep a mirror in a lone bird's cage. The bird will think its reflection is another bird and attach to the reflection and not you.

  • How on earth can anyone suggest to clip a bird's wings? Is it not enough that we've taken them away from their natural habitat?

For a bird to respect you, you should have it at eye-level. I've got three wonderful birds, an amazon parrot, a yellow-fronted kakariki and a cockatiel. We respect and love each other, and the small ones are nearly always on my shoulder. Clearly, this bird needs a bit more training and those of you talking about clipping wings... how about we cut your legs off?

  • oh right like a bird is totally not mobile at all once you clip them. get real dude, if you want birds to be "wild" why don't you go breed them, because apparently you don't want to use them as pets which is pretty much property?

  • A clipped bird does not feel safe, since they can't escape if they ger frightened. Thus, you'd force the bird to trust you instead of gaining it.

If my legs were cut off, I'd still be able to move around with the help of others and my arms.

I do want them as pets, and I love my three birds. Before my amazon came to me, his wings were clipped, which caused him to be absolutely terrified of everyone that came near. Clipping their wings is just not fair. How could anyone think it's fair?

  • this comparison to losing your legs is so ridiculous

also i think it's pretty unfair how everyone generalizes all birds as one.

  • JackNevermore, get real. Done properly, clipping a pet bird's wings is hardly like slicing off someone's legs. It's more akin to keeping a leash on a pet dog more than some kind of sadistic mutilation.

In fact, flighting a pet bird is actually important for their safety. Or would you rather risk having those birds you claim you "mutually love and respect" flee the house and get lost in a world full of predators?

Some freakin' people, I swear ...

  • at 0:59 it sounded like the bird said, "Alright" with two chirps! So cute!

  • Basically, birds think vertically. The higher up the bird is, the better it thinks it is. If you clip his wings so he can't fly up higher than you, and try not to let him sit on your shoulder, he'll start to respect you more. But also, most importantly, you must work on gaining his trust through patience and training. Best of luck.

  • If you clip his wings, he'll become tamer. Also, if he bites fingers, try using your fore arm to get him to step up on.

  • cute
