  • If anybody plays video games, could they answer this question: Isn't this the fighting style that Voldo uses on Soul Caliber? because I recognized the weapon in other videos and some of the movements are similar, of course they're gonna exaggerate them for a video game.

  • wtf is this idiot doing, fagget. the tune is catchy though

  • @lyo00011 that is martial arts ass ,its not chinese coppy cat stuf ....its the original it....origanalof chinese ,jap or korea or russian systema ...they could not coppy propely hahhaha i pity them..

  • @lyo00011 you sir are a idiot

  • nice

  • i've learnt karate and tkd both but none of them were as deadly as kalari.

there are multiple defense moves for each and every attack.there is no limit!

and they teach multiple anti-locks for every lock.

  • @anirudhkrishnamani

    lool karate, good one.

  • could u please post some tutorial videos, and nice music btw :) , do u haf any recordin of it you can send to me? its soo good and pleasant and vibrant at the same time :))

  • Is there any practiacl use for self defence in Kalari payattu?

  • this is also a dangerous martial art used by the historians during the times of kings and queens in India

  • Nice hall, saw some of this in an old video "way of the warrior" very tough conditioning and routines,I like the dynamic stretching aspects of it.

  • beautiful

  • cool

  • what country is this from

  • From the state of Kerala in india

  • what is the music used in this video??? thank you, namaste - so beautiful!

  • bakla ka gago!!!

  • wtf is this?

  • Love kalari...the be martial art that goes back centuries

  • well a great video

  • KALARI!!!! havent seen anything like this in a while.

  • Ive seen a kung fu thinkg that looks really similar to this, i think the guy was doing snake or something. And this doesnt seem to hold up to modern ways of conditioning, only the legs seem to be getting a slight work out. I mean i prolly couldnt do it but there it is haha

  • Dude Kung fu came out of this. And the british took over India. Britain banned everything.

  • yeh im not saying kung fu is bad, im just saying that through evolution, modern approaches to body conditioning are far superior to what people used to do. at least in most cases

  • yeah i dont blame us for bannin this...looks fuckin stupid...

Ju-Jitsu FTW, and no ju-jitsu didnt come from kung-fu, not my style anyways.

    Josh

  • Well if you're someone who supports Britain's take over of India and all the other countries. You should know your the most tyrannical idiot I have ever heard about. You also need to know everyone knows you judge this style with prejudice. Nobody is going to listen to you. Anyway at least we don't try to conquer every single country.

  • BULLLLSHIT, u idiot xD u tellin me that if someone offerd u loadsa power u wouldnt take it?? stop chatting shi-at u fool, and if i suppoted britain taking over whoever the fuck they took over i'd have sed "I suport britains take over of India" wouldnt i...

Just opinion which u cant stop me fromhaving sooo shut the fuck up an get a life and do some tricking.

    Josh

  • Why do you curse so much? It doesn't make you cool. I said if not you are. I feel the need to tell you you should try to improve your grammar and spelling. And about yours loads of power comment, no I would not take it.

  • nah im not too bothered about my grammar or what u feel on Youtube...and i curse because i want to, soo thats that.

Why do you feel the need to try and sound like u have all the answers, i dont want to even waste my time posting this, i have better things to do than tlk to a fuckin nut job e.g. really conditioning - OAC etc

    Josh

  • Btw "A warrior fights with his legs." - Drizzt Do'Urden. And it really is true.

  • I never said training legs was bad. And using the drow as an example is quite bad. I mean he uses two scimitars, a black panther and elf magic. Ive read most of the books with him in it, or at least all i can find, and he is talking about footwork, not actual fighting with the legs

  • Duhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But still how would you know if modern is better? Sure it probably is. But do you know if it really is? I'd imagine since Americans are so hooked on yoga that it isn't that insufficient. And anyway the modern way is an easy way out.(Just like guns.)

  • haha the modern way is the easy way out?! the easy way out of what? yoga has always been big, and its only a form of stretching, there isnt much else u really can do with that. now there are ways to isolate and train every single muscle, rather than relying solely on a set routine of dance esque movements. assuming thats all they did. I suppose it all leads to the same end, but evolution must play a part sumwhere. Plz dont say "duh", it made me judge you lol

  • No less I would never use a gun. So there is no real belief for me in using the modern ways. And please don't abbreviate like that it made me judge you. By the way evolution=modernization?

  • no no you are confusing what im saying. when i say modern i dont mean in terms of actual approach to fighting. As you say the real modern approach is to use a gun. I mean the modern way of getting the effects that this excersise gives is perhaps more efficient, or with greater benefits as we now understand better how to improve the body. and this would have came through the evolution of these excersises?

  • Ahhh yes but still in the evolution there becomes less work involved. Therefore not teaching the things you need to do. Making exercise(At least in my strange view)meaningless besides a few stupid reasons.

  • i think there are different approaches to different gains now. like cage fighters train with weights and do practical drills in fighting situations. In my experience, this kind of thing only gets the muscles used to movement. it is good for balance and leg endurance though, combined with modern approaches i think would be the best road to travel

  • Very nice idea I respect you for that.

  • reminds me a bit of the Wai Kru (muay thai dance)

  • Excellent clip. I learned some basic Kalari with Eddie in Singapore 1988. It's great to see this wonderful ancient art getting international exposure & recognition.
