I made a friend with a South Korea who was in the military (compulsory).
He said many of the 17-20 year olds can't take the pressure and commit suicide, also that sexual abuse by the higher command of lower rank people in their bunks at night is rampant.
He also said that he and his friends while on guard at sunset saw the ghosts of Korean soldiers dressed the same as they were from the war, one of his friends who saw it was so distburbed by the sight that he soon killed himself.
China, korea, and japan.. Big brother, Middle brother, little brother.. man if we didnt fight amongst ourselves, we would of been in power of the world and all of asia. But sadly the little midget brother decides to stab us in the back.. sad story
For all those that hate America, South Korea is an example of what we fight for. America played a PART of its success, but free peoples given a chance will always build a strong society. When I viewed this video I saw a military filled with free soldiers who have chosen to defend their country. Freedom was not given to the South Korean people, they fought for it. If it wasn't for China and the Soviet Union the South would not have needed American assistance at all.
As a Korean, I am disappointed in S.Korean military capabilities. What kind of "superior technology" can't detect a WWII era sub or takes 38 min to triangulate artillary position? The government and the military is run by a bunch of incompetant, corrupt officials with communist insiders pulling the strings. If you are true S Koreans, protest against the shit that is the S. Korean military that has failed its citizens again and again. How many more deaths before we realize our REAL problem?
SK is only country in the world expect for us,Russia possessing more than 1500 3rd generation MBTs. SK is one of the top5 world air powers that has over 100 aircraft that has BVR capability .SK has the most powerful marine corps in the world except for USA. SK is the only country in the world that can build a whole fleet of modern high tech warships in less the 10 years. the best country in the world in Mobile ART tech. one of the 8 countries with SSM missile tech.
