This was my favorite 8 track recording ever. I used to play it while driving stoned in my 63 Ford Galaxie 500 390 4 speed in the late 60's when driving while intoxicated was something that was considered a somewhat normal occurrence. No tickets, no incarceration, no record. It was maybe the greatest time ever for a young man to be alive in America.
i've listen to julian thome the house of the rising sun (very short) , my own world, don't let me be misunderstood and many other. And you have a good voice. And i love the way you sang the house of the rising sun but it wasn't the entire song. I hope that someday i can listen to the full song. oh i'm very sorry for my bad english (i'm french). Have you ever met eric?
killer stuff. the beatles had nothing on this band. so overlooked and under appreciated. i love this lp, winds of change, love is. hell i love em all from 1st lp to reunion live lp from early 80s. this stuff is transcendental
It just doesn't get any better than this! Got the LP autographed by Himself! This was my #1 album to listen to while in the OhNoZone...aahh, the '60s!
This is classic stuff...authentic, poetic rock and roll art. We're so lucky to be able to see and hear this. Thank You. Eric Burdon, who I have met, is the real thing: honest, curious, treats everyone the same with integrity and respect and humility. Long may he thrive!
@BernieKellman ★ Right on!!! I've never met him personally, but from what I see and feel, he IS DEFINITELY the real thing. A great person, a great singer, a great writer, and naturally just so...cool. Love love love him!!
When i was i New York in the 60's i saw him Love his music. Then i was told he hug around the blues clubs in Harlem so we went looking for him and we found him jamming with John Lee Hooker man you should have seen it. I will never forget it as long as i live.
I just pulled this album out yesterday. Hadn't heard it for a long time. I forgot all about this song after so long. It sounds so great to hear again. They really made some great songs during these years!Very glad that you posted it!

I came to know this song as one of the most moving pieces I have ever experienced. True inner city urban street music NYC style.

The New Animals era were all solid LPs:
5 of them in 2 years. Beginning w/Best of
Vol.II(which collected stray singles A&B sides),Winds of Change(classic LP),
Twain shall Meet, Everyone of Us, and Love Is(includes a worthy 18:30 side 4,
Gemini-The Madman, great long double song). A real white Blues singer up front,
not screaming boredom as became the
hype of a UK band soon to follow. Enjoy
these obscure Animals LPs,(CDs).

They have some of the best albums. Check out "Love Is" with Ring of Fire, River Deep Mountain High, Colored Rain and so on.
