What is ERF? I know you said all three kids are facing the rear in this video. bu then how are they being taped from in front? Wouldn't the person in front be taping the backs of their heads if they were all rear facing?
Awesome! I try to spread the benefits of ERFing but it's hard. Most parents don't think twice about turning their ONE year old forward-facing. I just bought a new Radian XT to keep my 2.5 yrs old son rear-facing as he's about to outgrow his Britax Marathon (RF up to 30lbs). I PLAN to ERF him until the weight limit (45lbs) and height limit. Hopefully that's up to 4-5 yrs old. I think the government/law needs to do more to keep our little ones safe.
I will be the 5000th person to comment on this.....but YAY for safe kids!!! You go mama! That chest clip looks like its gonna swallow the baby whole, lol!
wow a yout tube video with kids correctly strapped in yaaaaa and ERF awesome and the baby looked so tiny in there at 1st glance it looked as though they were all FF even the baby i was omg the realized they were all RF lol mommy brain moment
Very nice my husband and I are expecting a baby in February our first one and we've been so confused about car seats he wants one like your the whole all in one package but it just seemed so weird to me how tiny they look in them has been making me worry about safety very helpful video :)
@xxxjoelpolexxx I was wondering what kind of vehicle do you have that allows you to fit all three full size car seats on one row and secondly did your vehicle come pre-installed with swivel DVD system that it can be front or forward facing or did you install a DVD system yourself rear facing so that the kids could watch movies. I can't wait to hear from you and thanks in advance!
@NaturallyYoshiboo expedition & yes it has a dvd already installed in the roof but we bought these two a year or so ago b4 the vehivle, so we have both
I know this is totally off topic but have you ever talked in a video about taking care of Jacelyn's hair? Its a lot like my daughter's and I'm having a hard time finding products and combs that don't make it look like a crazy mess!
Love the cool designs on the car seats Lucy! Peyson looks so relaxed in the car! How lovely to see all three of your babies enjoying eachothers company :)
Omg Lucy lol I looked at her and for a split second I thought she is forward then I was like no way somethings not right Lucy would never do that! Then thats when I realized they were all rear! Five star mommy!!! :)
@jusheather08 Thanks! it's not the normal (unfortunately) to see toddlers rear facing so at first it can look a little confusing when a newborn & toddlers are all facing the same direction. But if you pay very close attention to detail most should be able to tell they are rear facing apon further inspection
It soooo nice to see all the kids rear facing! Im a bigggg believer in following the law when it comes to childrens safety. I know someone who actually took their BABY in her arms EVERY SINGLE car ride! Her excuse was "he'll be safer in my arms if anything happens" but seriously?? Like I told her if they were to get in an accident, her first reaction/reflex would be to save herself! What happens to the baby then? So anyways thankfully enough someone seen her and called the cops.
I'm loving that floral pattern! Might have to see if I can get one if these car seats sent to Australia :) but knowing my luck I won't find a website willing to do so =S
i'm only 19 and i knew exactly what that carseat and what the safety features were by that carseat! then i look down and see peoples comments harassing you about it..made my day. i feel babycated! baby-educated, haha :) all three of your children are the cutest things!
How long will you be rear-facing them? My son is 10 months (He is a preemie though, He was 10 weeks early) and I have read the 2 years is the minimum? When do you plan of front-facing the bigger kids? Just curious :) I am a first-time Mom.
Congarts. I was following ur pregnancy with ur son. So i gave birth my second son. Now u got ur 3rd child. and i am trying for 3rd too. Congrats on sweet baby. She is beautiful just like her sister.
You should get paid for advertising because I am getting one of those car sets. They look great, and you save money by not paying for an infant car set and a booster.
SO CUTE seeing them all lined up together! Peyson looks so tiny in that car seat! :) How cute that they both want to touch her! Awww. What an exciting moment to get on film to look back at when they are all big!
@Butterfly0258girl it's not the normal (unfortunately) to see toddlers rear facing so at first it can look a little confusing when a newborn & toddlers are all facing the same direction. But if you pay very close attention to detail most should be able to tell they are rear facing apon further inspection
@Butterfly0258girl Please read the description box , it's NOT the safest option. Not trying to be mean or rude but you really should educate your self before putting false information out there. Have you ever had your car seats installed & inspected by a certified car seat inspector? Have you compared car seat specs w/ them for this seat vs any other infant carrier car seat? The answer is no, otherwise you'd know your statement is extremely false. Education is the key hun! ;)
Your children are adorable; glad they're all loving each other so far! Yay for Peyson having hair, you get to use her bows!! :)
Oh and, it's amazing how many people leave comments without reading the description box... I'm sure it would save you a TON of time and not having to repeat your self over and over if people looked there first.
My daughter is rear facing in an infant seat. Now that she is 9 months old she is getting to big for this carseat. So i'm looking for a carseat group 1 (9 months-3years). After seeing your video i looked online to see if there are carseat's for her age rear facing....Here in the Netherlands there aren't any! So i'm forced to transport my child in the not safest way... Now i'm thinking about ordering a carseat from the US bus can you tell me, how do you attache the seat to the vehicle?
@1985Reintje Hello, I am in the UK and recently purchased a rear facing seat called Be Safe Izi. They are made in Sweden. If you would like me to send you a link to a couple of web sites please let me know. They maybe of some help to you. xx
such a sweet video and so important!! thanks for sharing your sweet happy rear facing kids :) Love how they are so sweet to want to take care of her on her first ride!
Congrats to you for ERF'ing with all 3 of your kids! My daughter is 20 months and is still rear facing! This makes me very happy to see! God bless your beautiful family!
Awuh, Jacelyn and Kacen are so sweet, being all cuddly with Peyson. You'd think they'd be a little bit jealous, I know I would've been. But not them! (:
Loving the 3 of them RFing always wondered what a newborn would look like in the Radian I know your super busy but are you still going to do the Radian Review said you would like to wait till you had Peyson.
I am going to look into this seat...my baby is 6 months and carrying that seat in and out is exhausting esp. now that its just me and my two daughters as my husband is deployed. I cant believe people are critcizing you! It is weird to see a little baby in that big seat but you are mom and you know whats best for your baby...she looks safe to me.
@meggyloo22 Most people are use to infant carriers thats all & this isn't a common seat you see due to its price but we use certified carseat inspectors which again most dont even know exist so our seats are installed & inspected to top notch safety standards.
Why are the people on here keep trying to educate you on what position your children should be in from what I'm seeing all of them were rear facing and that is how they are suppose to be..SMH next time you are going to have to start your videos off saying "see everybody is rear facing now lets begin class"...lol
@IvnTee07 I think people aren't use to seeing toddlers rear facing so they assume Peyson is forward w/ them...that & I think pepole are use to see 2 row vehicles not 3 & b/c Joel is filming the direciton he is they think the kids are forward & he's in teh front seat...HOWEVER they are all rear facing & we have a 3 row expedition & he's in the 3rd row, lol
@lulujuan1991 Not sure where u live but our laws state that a child must remain rear facing for AT LEAST 12 months &&& they must be at least 20 lbs as well b4 turning them forward. New safety suggestions now state to leave them rear facing for a MINIMUM of 2 years & longer (or as long as the car seat will allow it beyond that point) but that technically isn't a law yet..they are trying to pass it currently.
@morganshank No need to apologize... it's not the normal (unfortunately) to see toddlers rear facing so at first it can look a little confusing when a newborn & toddlers are all facing the same direction. No question IMO is a bad question...education is the key to everything & if there is something you don't know NEVER be afraid to ask! ;)
We live in Canada and my daughter is 4 months old, I just ordered her the Graco My Ride 65 car seat because it is designed to be rear facing up to 40lbs. I think its GREAT!!!!
@xxxjoelpolexxx yes, ours is rather bulky but i love that its basically a lazy boy for babies and that her little head cant fall forward!!! I wish we had the car seat options here that you have there :s
That is awesome that you still have your 2 older children rear-facing!!!! My boy is barely going into 13 months and I plan on keeping him rear-facing for as long as possible :-)
@360olivia321 Wet let Jace pick hers our & then we picked Kacen's as the others were just not really appropriate for our tx weather, and the only other girl seat was teh Petal so we picked it for Peyson. I like both the girls patterns though...kind wish they had a purpleish one though
Is this the radian car seat?? I've heard such amazing things about them! We started with a big/convertible seat too because I knew we wouldn't be able to resist holding our baby vs carrying around a seat :)
@skylerdoodle1 We don't leave her in a carseat, so having the infant carseat feature is pointless as for how its removable...i wear my babies....always in my arms/on my chest, never apart. I prefer this seat as its designed for extended rear facing. & this seat is safer than all our new infant seats
She is so cute! My husband and I are expecting our first little girl in December!! I noticed that you went with a convertible car seat, and was wondering what you do when you go into a restaurant without an infant carrier? I plan on using a sling while in stores, but I am not sure about holding her the entire time we are eating. I would really like to just skip the infant carrier altogether, but am unsure what to do with an infant in a restaurant before she can sit up on her own.
@TheBbear13 We don't leave her in a carseat, so having the infant carseat feature is pointless as for how its removable...i wear my babies....always in my arms/on my chest, never apart. I prefer this seat as its designed for extended rear facing. I wear/hold my baby when eating out...
how did you decide on this type of carseat for peyson, I have always wanted to get the type of seat that i wouldnt have to buy like 2 or 3, but travel systems are also appealing. I also think that I would rather wear my baby then push my baby away from me. sorry if thats long, just curious...
@GonnaBAMom1Day We don't leave her in a carseat, so having the infant carseat feature is pointless as for how its removable...i wear my babies....always in my arms/on my chest, never apart. I prefer this seat as its designed for extended rear facing.
@xxxjoelpolexxx Thank you so much for that response, I feel alot less dumb for not wanting a travel system/stroller, not that thats dumb, just my friends and family think that, lol. I see it as a waste when I dont plan to use them, I can use that money for something else!
@victoriabreann7 Nope, shes never complained & safety first anyways...its safer for her to be rear facing. Broken legs can be repaired but a broken neck/spine may not...
we're you sitting in the trunk while filming that video?!

@mamaatheart lol it looks like it but not really. it's the exact same seat it's just her seat is higher up due to the middle position.

Why did u go with such a big car seat and not an infant car seat?
skylerdoodle1 7 months ago

@morganshank facing backwards? She said in the description box that all her 3 kids are rear-facing.

how did you decide on this type of carseat for peyson, I have always wanted to get the type of seat that i wouldnt have to buy like 2 or 3, but travel systems are also appealing. I also think that I would rather wear my baby then push my baby away from me. sorry if thats long, just curious...

@xxxjoelpolexxx Thank you so much for that response, I feel alot less dumb for not wanting a travel system/stroller, not that thats dumb, just my friends and family think that, lol. I see it as a waste when I dont plan to use them, I can use that money for something else!

Isn't that hard on jace's legs sitting facing the rear? :/ poor thing
Ps payson is so cute and adorable carseat!!
victoriabreann7 7 months ago
@victoriabreann7 Nope, shes never complained & safety first anyways...its safer for her to be rear facing. Broken legs can be repaired but a broken neck/spine may not...
