  • Hey they had a story on local News here this week on these model lady sale for LG say make sure its leveled this happen to a atlanta viewer this week on new models/// they did replace them but i wonder if they forget ever remove shippin bolts and well when spin went Hey i get u a new wall installed....

  • Darn LE stands ........Quick call repair man..lol well we glad u did get new model washer..it happens u never goin have a perfect machine some are alot will have gremlins and lemons .

  • We just had the same thing happen to our LG front load washer. We have had nothing but problems with our LG front load washer and dryers. LG doesn't stand behind any of their products! Ours exploded yesterday. We are off to buy new ones today. NOT LG. LG stands for Lost A Grand!!

  • With bigger items or anything heavy that can tangle you should select the Low Soil Level. I have found with bigger items when washing on Medium or High Soil Level my washer would bang from side to side. I caught it right away so no damage was done. If you are not aware the soil level determines how fast it spins in the wash cycle. A lower spin cycle may be needed also. Yes this is not supposed to happen but this could save you from this problem.

  • Well, I guess it can't handle bulky items after all, now can it?

  • Oh my heck! The exact same thing just happened to my LF Wave Force about an hour ago. We heard a huge boom and found the washer destroyed. We were washing twin sheets and a few shirts. We had no idea this would happen. We've had the washer about 6 months and up until now it's been awesome. I sure hope I don't have any problems getting it replaced. I think we need a different washer

  • Problaly the washer feet. were not balnced and that he did not use the bulky cycle and it was too close to the dryer get a lg front loader becase is has sensors that will stop it from happening

  • @TheGlozell2

Wow, this is crazy !! I own this machine and in another mo. I will of owned it for one year. It's great on cleaning, but like I said before it makes me nervous knowing that this could happen. There could be Faulty Brackets that may not be tightened properly and they could of loosened to the point of breakage and causing this to happen. So did you get a replacement after this or go for a different machine ?? What did LG say or do for you about this ?? Thanks ...

  • My WAVEFORCE washer was delivered to me yesterday, and this morning I washed a KING & Queen size comforter seperately using the BULK cycle according to the OWNERS manual. I haven't had a problem with my LG WAVEFORCE was as yet.......

I love it so much I rewashed clothes that were clean for the hell of it

  • wow that is your fault!!!!!!! you put that HUGE comforter in the washer on cotton! since cotton is light so it spun very fast which made the components FAIL!

  • I own this washer. YOUR mistakes resulted in this disaster. The video clearly shows you chose "Cotton/Normal" at 11 o'clock. The manual (p. 15) advises "Bulky Bedding" at 9 o'clock, for "large items such as blanket and comforters". You said "I don't know what LE means." You didn't read the user manual (see p. 28-29 for error codes) , even though this happened to you before! RTFM!! Don't blame the manufacturer for your own behavior.

  • We didn't buy the machine a second time, it was replaced free of charge by Home Depot and LG...

  • @zgidwani This makes me nervous everytime I have to do a load of wash after seeing this video because I have the same machine. I've had mine since 9/23 and so far no problems, except using the Soak cycle which is more violent.

I see the Code flashing means Thermistor Error.

Also in the Video you said twice that you put in a Comforter and it sure looks like a comforter and not a mattress pad like you later stated, and that should of been washed on Bulky only according to the manual.

  • @zgidwani Thanks for sharing. We just had that same LG "tornado" touch down in our laundry room last night with an identical load! It disturbs me to see how flimsy their plastic mounts are. Sheet rock damage and all! I can't believe it didn't automatically shut off. It was like a scene from the Exorcist when I opened the laundry room door.

  • We didn't buy the machine a second time, it was replaced free of charge by Home Depot and LG...

  • it doent make sense to me, if u buy the first one and did not last long, just only 2 months. why wud u buy the same brand?

it seems, this video is a black propaganda against LG

  • thats terrible my mom has an LG front loader and hers died in only a month and they had to replace the mother board never again will she buy LG products

  • I just got my Wave Force washer yesterday. I washed my big king size thick mattress pad in my on the bedding bulky cycle, and I increased the spin speed from medium to High. I had no issues with it doing this. I also washed my king size comforter next, again no issues. Next came two sets of king size sheets and pollow cases, again, no issues.

  • Mr. Z, "LE" means LOUSY ENGINEERING!

  • Hard to believe that a model in today's world would not have an automatic shutdown. If what's in the video constitutes overloading then LG washers do not have much capacity. The machine my wife and I have today is not an LG, but it does an excellent job of telling us when it is overloaded, by shutting down, and beeping. Sorry, hard to buy that this machine was overloaded.

  • I dont wish this on the owners, but LG will tell them the machine is overloaded and sorry. Any manufacture will do that, not just LG

  • Oh My Gosh ~ This is Terrible !!!!

I have this same Washer since 9/23.

You said it's the 2nd LG washer you had, what was wrong with the 1st One ??

What is LG doing or saying about this ??

  • Looks like you used the Normal/cotton cycle for this load...not the bulky as you should of. Also the comforter might have been too big for the machine. When u loaded it, did you have to push it down in the tub to get it below the topline of drum holes? If so, it was too big for your machine according to your owners manual, which states, use bukly cycle for them and wash them alone or damageto your items and machine may result. Not sure the senser did not stop it

  • Would be interested in learning what happened in your situation, and how LG handled matters? My sister purchased an LG washer and dryer and experienced but grief. She now owns another brand altogether.

  • looks like the shipping brackets were left in place. LG might be making the best quality laundry products on the market today. I have been in the appliance business for 30 years. It is never a good idea to wash a single large item in your residential washer. Use the landromat even if the sales rep says you can.

  • What ended up happening? Did LG replace this washer too?

  • I believe the LE code translates into Lousy Everything. Glad you were not present when this bomb went off. Spend your money on a different brand and seek compensatory damages from LG for the destruction and the washer.

  • I have learned over the years to set the washer for "no spin" or "hand wash" if you wash a big blanket like that. After the washer is done, lay the blanket out to dry, or set the dryer to delicate dry only. I have an Amish quilt I wash that was hand made by 1,000 amish ladies. I wash it in the "hand wash" setting and lay it out to dry. I never let the washer spin or agitate on any of my big blankets.

  • I do feel for you. I was lucky to purchase my set on Black Friday for $750 each. Now they are going for $1099 each. I am sorry that you had such bad luck with these. I have not had any problems with my set. You might want to hang a lucky rabits foot on the wall for the next set.

  • A front load washer is just as unstable as a top load washer. Most front load washers have cheap mounts as well. I have learned over the years to only run your spin at low RPM. Even if the wash cycle wants to run the spin in high, lower the spin to low and the machine will not shake as much. There is a reason why the old washers spun at 500-800 max speed. Most companies were building for longevity, not performance. You bought a dryer for a reason; use it.

  • The manual does say to leave a foot behind the washer and a .5ft between the wall and dryer. It looks like your room is too small and the units are wedged in there touching the wall. A front load washer would have done the same thing with that big blanket. I do feel for you. You might have to put your new washer and dryer set somewhere else in the house. Try putting the new units in the garage and plumb in a drain for the washer.

  • @MrJesseistheman The spacing has nothing to do with this washer's failure. Unfortunately, LG washer and dryers come across as feature laden, but they are simply not quality made products.

  • Korean washers are trash..

  • Wow dude!! I see the 4 rods are held by cheap plastic holders and after one rod broke out of those cheap plastic holder it caused a chain reaction to the other 3 rods to let go and the washer tub droped and the force of it still spining is what distroyed the cabnet! What a junk washer!!

  • Well, u will see what's the better option. these machines are a litte pricey and more when come out bad.Do u see the video I let u?

  • HOLY COWS!!!! u better buy an front loading washer.I think it's better(front washer of LG) but is obvious that this washer ia a lemon(but just the washer and not the bran) because LG washers normally come good.

  • @Myworld691 I mean is a lemon

  • @Myworld691 - Yeah but the problem is this is our replacement, the first one died on us about 2 months ago only breaking 2 of its mounts adn denting the right side. This blew out all 4 mounts and crushed all 4 sides of the machine, crushing our washer next to it pushing the side cabinet in 2 inches, putting an 8inch crack in our drywall on the otherside, opened drawers on my Toolbox in the garage on the adjoining wall...luckily we were not in the
