I am watching out of order again because I saw WNEW in the description box! I grew up with all the great New York stations, and this one was no exception. Channel 5 was a great independent station until it became a charter member of the Fox network in 1986.
"Metromedia Man" Tom Gregory is the V/O on the station ID.
WKHK 106.7 became WLTW LiteFM in 1984 which is what is to this day.

Listerine tasted so nasty back then. LOL, it looked like the husband/wife team on the Red Lobster commercial had the same hair style going on. Gotta love those 80's hair styles. Thumbs up for Tostitos and Fernando!! That Tums commercial is a classic. Freshen Up Gum, I loved that gum back in the day! Now you can only find it online or some remote gas station out in timbuktu somewhere. Great video package!
That original Listerine was the most disgusting tasting thing ever! Like drinking rubbing alcohol straight up! Also, at 3:13 No-Pest, loved seeing "Mel" from the early 80's sitcom, ALICE! :-)
