this has nothing to do with missing meshes or using to many glitches.your not even suppose to pick up any thing that says missing item because your game is suppose to freeze,you got lucky thats all.

By the way for those who emailed and asked. NO I did NOT cheat or MOD in ANY way. In fact MY game save(s) have been corrupt for some time now as I can not begin the thieves guild quest s.For some reason the 3rd person you have to meet with at the spot at night never shows up.. He's a NPC so I couldn't have killed him...I walked everywhere trying to track him down...since I cant find him I am unable to join the theives guild. I've comepleted just about EVERY other acheivement(like 2 years ago).

NO NOT REALLY its just sacry plus dont do mods! fucking hell did bethlesda want that in their game? no! fuck ups! also he probaly uninstaled shiviring ilses or got it copyed so thats probaly why shiviring ilses is mising for him no meshes ! plus mods can really fuck up your game as i broke5 of my bros and we ended up getting the year editon (me sometimes have bad spelling) o.o

I would NEVER risk all of that game time on a cheat that could screw up my file.

I already have a issue from the start I can't join the theives guild. One of the NPC's thats supposed to meet you at night never shows up...I dint know why..I didnt kill him I cant find him..so I beat every other quest and download chapters but it sux that I cant even join the guild. As you saw I did put a lot of hours into it.

On my guy without Xbox Live...since the Shivering Isles went away...I have those things too....Funny thing is one of them is my weapon and its a giant exclamation point of doom!

Meh. I have played about 1000 hours on there and only have 370 saves lol. I think the real reason i have less saves than you is because i use the autosave a lot.

dont save over 1 file cause it can overload your system and you could loose some stuff like cant complete quests or loose items

lol i know how toi get missing names from every1 just use the skull of corruption make a corrupted clone of some1 kill it the save while it says search assasin or whatever and the load it and rapidly tap a until ur in the clones inventory and u can take the armor and wep(sometimes u can take wep) and the misc will be missing names. proly ppl he killed lol

That happened to me with my second character, Rei Dominus. I killed a dead guy with the kill cheat on the PC version and stole something called "Missing Item" so I dropped it cuz it just gave me more crap to scan through and it made that giant exclaimation point. So I walked up to it and my character went right through it! I couldn't pick it back up tho, and it began to piss me off to have that in front of the door to my house, but I did find it funny the first time.

that happend to me b4 it was annoying do u know how to make it go away cause its so annoying and it only happend after i beat both shivering iles and got the big stronghold and the vampire base place then that happend while i was on the ghost quest to save like 5 ghosts from dieing or w/e.

Usually one can pick the item back up when it is an Exlimation mark thingy, so pick it up and put it in some container where you wont see it :)

this usually happens when the meshes or textures have been messed up, if u use mods and dont download the meshes the same thing would happen so maybe there was an installation error, but theat the ! is general for any item that cant be identified

Ive jumped over a moutian.. lead to the edge of the map.. there was water out there so I swam in it.. only a section of water, swam out and was pretty much flying, I thought it was cool, yours was pretty weird though.

that usually happens when an item has a missing mesh or texture, it usually occurs when a mod is unpacked wrong and the computer cant find the files for the item.

It is just an unfixed bug, nothing to really worry about. If you find that item, just keep it. Also, a few of them spawn some giant monster, I forget which. I haven't had the glitch yet, though. Lucky me. :P

Honestly, I don't remember the exact item it was..I wasn't anything important like the guy below you implied. I had it,dropped it and I saw that symbol. I later learned it an error icon when the game can't find and item in the inventory. Not a cheat or a mod, wouldn't risk close to 500 hours with a hack. Thank you for the 5/5.

At the time I think I was the only person who posted that type of error. (I'm not 100% positive) I didn't see any other symbols like that and thought maybe I had found something really cool but I guess it's now a pretty common issue. It may be worth nothing now but I put this video up because I was shocked that maybe I found something rare. not really a glitch just means you are missings a mesh or texture (can be your falt if you are messing with the game/scratching cd)

lol i used a mod that did something to gaurds on horseback & i had same prob w/ the gaurds, that sign was riding on the back of the horses. reinstalled mod and fixed it tho, it was pretty funny

That item and text appears as a placeholder for an object that can no longer be found for whatever reason. Perhaps that file was corrupted, but then fixed when you updated or whatever.

Yes i seen this before theres a few items in the game that it happens to but if your playing the 360 version updates fix it petty quick most of the time (BTW over 1200 save files and level 45 very nice character WOW)

do u know what sucks.... i lost my lvl 36 battlemage, he had every daedric artifact, he was a master in every magic college, he had goldbrand, now ill start all over but ill be better than EVER!!! i have very easy methods of getting master in most skills no comment on me cheating now i have to look up daedric shrine locations i like the sheogorath quest
