  • Very nice! Best wishes from the states : ) I'm a bass player too : )

  • ahah I. Berlin as in Irving Berlin ? ;)

  • I can't believe that people are clicking Dislike on this! No, you are not virtuoso players, but you do an entirely respectable job of this quartet, and you play with such enthusiasm and verve. I love it. This is what music -- and bass playing -- is all about!

  • you guys get a couple million epic win points for the sheer awesomeness of having 4 basses in one room, and no other instruments. also, great job on the piece!

  • Very good effort. Keep practicing!

P.S. You are already much better than am I. lol

  • Yeah i'm a contrabassist too. You guys did better then I could do. Not the best, but pretty good.

  • The rag is great, but they need to work more on the sound clearing and sinchronization.

  • this was great! my friend plays the bass (me violin lol) but i showed her this and she loved it too.

    Good job. :)

  • kudos to you teens

  • Precious!!!

  • are you people korean

  • it says "sunny island of Singapore"

we are nearer to the equator than korea

  • 1 question, in the 5th position, do you use 3rd finger as well as 1st, 2nd, and 4th?

I like the vid a lot

  • hey, thanks for liking the video.

the problem when talking about positions is that every double bass school has a different take about positions. therefore, to put it simpler, i'll use the notes instead.

    E1,F2,F#4

F1,F#2,G3 (and we dont use 4th finger anymore from here.)

    F#1,G2,G#3

    questions? email me at kontrabassist(at)gmail(dot)com

  • thank you! ive been playing bass for a month and i like it a lot!

  • hey good! we love the bass too! =)

  • if you play the bass and don't like it that just means your a violin player that can't handle the sheer awesomeness of a bass.

  • agreed! i've only been playing for about 5 months but i love the bass so much, it's like it was my destined partner! it's leaning on my shoulder right now!

  • yeah...and i really understand cuz i went from violin to bass and i love the "sheer awesomeness" of it.

  • Impressive, may i ask, where did you guys buy your basses? im planning to get one but i cant find any shop that sells them -_-... (i too live in Singapore)

  • Hi! Most of our basses are way too old for us to remember where it came from, but the one I (extreme left) am using is from Music Essentials.

  • Ii, ne? Honto ni jozu, minna. Loved it.

  • Wish my school had an orchestra I moved to Florda all bands no strings. The mic sounded like it was over loaded.

  • I am impressed! Keep up the good work--bass chamber music is tough because of all the LOW TONES! Yvonne in Ohio.

  • thank you yvonne! =)

  • Hi.. How long have you all been playing?? Pretty cool:) Great piece for 4 bassists .. and where did you all learn to play?

  • Hey!

At the moment the video was taken, I think it was our third rehearsal or something like that. Its our first time playing in a bass quartet, we play in the same orchestra though.

    Hope you liked our video!

  • hi! thanks for your comment.

we are split three-one. Three of us use french bows and one of us use a german bow. =)

  • pretty good video. are you guys using french bows?
