I live in Iowa and everyone here is afraid of pitbulls and think they are scary and have stuff against them and waht not, but they are actually really cool pets if you raise them at a younger age, and they arent evil or anything if they have good owners. I find about 10 months old is a good age to get pitbulls..

I have had the great pleasure of 4 pits. I can't say I was their owner because the spirit of a pit bull is just too great for that. Anyone who has ever had a pit knows what I mean. If you have never had one you will NEVER understand them. To the poster(s) who are concerned about the dog hurting itself on the fence- small chance of that- there are strong, tough as a tank- high pain tolerance and they only want to please you- if it is fun to you- then its fun to them. They LIVE to jump and chase!

You really need to check out Dock Dog or Ulitmat Air Dogs. I am sure your dog would do great. It is alot of fun for both owner and dogs. Most people do it for fun. It's not just about the competion. My sister has a JRT that does it and he just loves it.

Pit Bulls are really good jumpers. My sister's dog is a AmStaff and he can clear practically any fence, unfortunatly. Pits are escape artists. You have a very beautiful dog by the way.
