  • My mother, who was French-Canadian from Quebec, loved this song. She passed away two years ago. Every time I hear this song, I think of her.

  • Thanks for this. My mother used to sing this to me when I was a child (she died of cancer many years ago now). And more recently my father, his wife and myself all sang this while driving to their place in Quebec, so it has deep meaning for me, and will the rest of my life.

  • magnifique bravo

  • Merci...vraiement une chanteuse canadienne!

  • Sorry Lucille - I checked my voice - we all get older !!

Nevertheless I love you and your great songs - thanx !

  • I like the song - I love Lucille - but her voice isn't as pure as in her younger times - pity !

  • a lovely song not heard it before but its a beautiful melody.

  • I sing this song with my band. I can't tell you how many times people come to me after the show to say that it brought fond memories or their mother or grandmother.

  • @tanika159 - Echt waar hoor !!

Zij is van mijn plekje... St-Boniface, Manitoba, Canada !!!

  • This is Great!! I listen to it often. My mother, father and grandparents were from New Brunswick, Canada and spoke french but i never learned it (except a few words and expressions) I am very sorry I did not learn more. I live in Nebraska now and the only time i hear 'french' is when i play this and remember way back when. THANKS!!!

  • @krazykidz1995 it's not too late. Ce n'est pas trop tard.

  • geweldig liedje zo mooi

  • What a great song and what a voice! I under stand she was from St Boniface and lived in Maillardville in Coquitlam which I drive thru several times a week, Yet, in-spite of all my interest in music, I'd never heard of her. The Gods of Fame are certainly unfair.
