that wasnt the whole round, and anyway, first rounds don't really mean shit in muay thai. doesnt get started till mid round 2, especially for a 5 round title fight
vishnu is awsome, i use to train with him along time ago. he was new when i was already there. he has for sure come up. however coke doesnt do anything in the first rounds just like all his fights once its his the 3rd and on he puts crazy pressure. i am if they rematch though vishnu will bring it for sure. i once was a world team usa then for differences with sam i moved to fight and fitness. in thailand they do elbow like that. ive seen fights
if it wasnt for that punkass ref coke would have destroyed him...if they fight again coke with put a hurt on him again. i have to say i was impressed with vishnu, but coke is just harder and stronger
it was clear Vishnu was dominating this fight and Coke was not ready for him. He would rather get dq than have took the loss. Very classless and dishonorable, in my opinion he shouldn't even get a rematch, but know Vishnu and his crew they would love to give him one. This time im sure Coke wont gurantee a 3rd round knockout because he knows he wont make it to the 3rd round again.
looked to me that the vishkid was outdoing coke on everything. wish it could have gone on a bit longer though. could be all about vindication>>>vindiction- is that even a word...
as far as i've heard, elbows to the back and or to the back of the head is "not legal" even in thailand arenas. I'm pretty sure those downward strikes are used to paralize hence illegal. Leaves me to wonder what was going thru cokes mind...
elbows to the back of the head and downward strikes are legal in full muay thai rules. i was there, the elbow to the back was not full speed, the ref was being extra lenient
thats not diry its muaythai its legal stupid. if american dont like to fight like that then dont bring in a thai. this is muahythai not sissy kick boxing. i guess american would cry if they go to fight in thailand cause these r legal
In america they dont use the real thai rules, if you are taking a muay thai to america you should use the full thai rules simple!

a couple of elbows to the back. Not very classy.
If he was the better fighter, he would not have to fight so dirty.

you could also say that intentionally turning ur back to your opponent to make the ref pull you apart is a cheap way of avoiding contact
