@APHRODITEEEEEE thats why you have to have the right one, if you get a good recipe, you can't taste the cream cheese at all (i don't like it either). there are also cheesecake recipes that don't have cream cheese, though they are not traditional recipes, i have three different ones that don't have cream cheese in them, and four more that do... yes, before you ask, i am a baker, though it is not my profession.

Why use dough?... We all use baked digestive biscuit as a base. Smush up biscuits, add melted butter to stick together (sprinkle with a tiny bit of brown sugar to caramelise) and bake until it goes hard(ish). Leave to cool, add the cheesy delights and refrigerate for noms.

After an hour with Excel, a cook book, and the internet, here is the recipe for the plain cheesecake shown in this video: Crust 1 2/3 C Butter  2/5 C Sugar 1/4 Egg white 1 2/3 Cup Flour Roll out to 1/4 in thick. Use outside of spring form pan to cut crust. Prick Bake at 375 for 16 minutes. Filling 2 1/2 C Cream Cheese 3 T Sour Cream 1 3/4 C Sugar 1/8 C flour 3/5 T Vanilla 1 Egg Grease pan with butter Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes Someone make this and tell me how it turns out. :)
