Love it. One thing I think jazz drummers used to better effect than rock drummers is the sound contrast between the snare and bass drum. Specially in solos the contrast has dramatic effect, much the same way a guitar solo will play an octave or two above the progression.

Neil is one of the all time greats so learn from him but add in a part of yourself my friend. :)

I think it's unrealistic to expect anyone (unless they're a millionaire) to have a set just like Peart's...you show it's not impossible to do a not so bad job on a smaller set. Reminds me...

I once was in a band where we had this kid who was self-taught on drums, who didn't know about Rush, and heard Peart's solo off Exit Stage Left and (I kid you not) played it almost PERFECTLY on a 14 piece set, after listening to it just 2 times. Just amazing. I always wonder what happened to him.

thank you for the praises brother, I think my cymbals pass far away from a zidjian and sabian, in relation to the price! but I already noticed a small similarity! they are a mark here of the brazil, it calls himself orion and the model is solo pró and solo pró master, just the china is another mark also of the brasil called krest the model is H series!! all b20! I think that is the only similarity!
