  • Not bad not Bad Ill take lessons on being from RIchard pryor and ill take lessons on being intellectual with comedy from George Carlin :)

  • You're my hero Ricky!

  • I hate him

  • @ubermisogynist do you think he looks too much like a woman or something?

  • @ubermisogynist Well, according to you name, you hate all women, so that kind of proves what an idiot you are.

  • @MrFawkesGuy free your mind!

  • obnoxious motherfucker

  • @Xezatt u jelly?!

  • 3:01 to 3:09 is one of the dumbest thing i've heard him say

  • @purplenurps think ahead

  • boring

  • What's his accent?

  • @1001orpheus

He is from Reading in England.

  • the key is depth to a character, versatility and feeling (empathy) where people are at and what makes them tick, to understand what's really going on. Ricky's a genius!

  • I enjoy seeing things through a different set of eyes.. Empathy is taken for granted.

  • Bigthink has got soo much that I want to watch. And it's all on a single channel :D subscriiiibe

  • Doing the same thing over and over again is not always a good thing. I can think of real actors like Marlon Brando or Daniel Day Lewis who are very different in different roles. That's why they are called ACTors.

  • Tom Hanks could have also been named. :)

  • Interesting

  • Little Britain is pretty damn funny

  • bannana = intelligent design , does that mean conciousness NOOOOO. LOGIC PATTERNS BA BLA

  • The first rule is to actually be funny.

  • @squamish4244 the first rule of the comedy club is you don't talk about the comedy club - unless wearing a yellow and green ladies hat.

  • I like how Ricky Gervais makes his audience think about their own opinions in his comedy as well as his fearlessness attitude to challenging people's beliefs.

  • this video is old...gervais is skinny now

  • @postmasterw00t funny

  • @TankMacnamara81 Aren't comedians supposed to mock everything? I think telling a comedian what not to say is just about the lamest thing you can do.

  • @MarshalltheArtist To a certain extent yes,, i used to be atheist and the reason i brought up his stand up with the bible is, i remember how great it made me feel at the time. But it just bothers me now.. I like Ricky a lot. I just want him to be more creative,, making fun of religion and fat people is so immature. He is hands down the funniest comedian and a master at ad libbing. but just to know he thinks i'm just a brainwashed religious zealot hurts me CUZ i like him

  • @TankMacnamara81 Okay, you make a valid point.

  • @MarshalltheArtist i came here to be entertained by Ricky cuz i enjoy his interviews. i'm sorry if it sounds like i'm judging anyone here cuz i'm not. I'm human, i'm not perfect. I'm trying to be more forgiving and accepting towards everyone. Peace

  • A Comedian's Job Isn't Just To Make People Laugh. It's To Make People Think.

  • @trapedd I'm surprised this comment haven't gotten more thumbs up.

  • The heart of comedy is sincerity. Someone striving, finding conflict, reacting to conflict in odd unusual ways, wanting something desperately and failing due to some tragic flaw. Without a tragic flaw, comedy is superficial, not universal

  • Get paid...

  • Casting director? I cast myself. BOOYA!

  • im not a huge fan of gervais, but i think i like him a bit more after watching this, but he often comes across as arrogant and thinks hes some comedy god, which maybe he is to some people.

  • Genius

  • If I had to say what I think of Gervais, based on the impression hes made on a general guy whos never met him but likes his stuff, is I bet he's a super hard worker, a brilliant comedian who takes humanity and life seriously, understands empathy and its value to the world, and an amazing public atheist figure. Probably one of my biggest role models right now. I've always wnated to be a comedian, because ever since I was little I realized how great at exemplifying humanity they are.

  • @sartor103gipon You should check out Louis CK if you haven't. He plays up the absolute horrors and depressing things of life as if they are just funny. Makes you feel like there's hope even when there absolutely shouldn't be because your life is total shit. It's great stuff. Hilarious stuff.... He is one of my role models in comedy right now... check him out...

  • @sartor103gipon

    Same you're not funny though.

  • @sartor103gipon bravo well said bro. im a musician but if i had to do it all over id have been a stand up. youre absolutely right about his humanity , his care for humanity. cheers

  • @sartor103gipon And now I know ricky gervais' youtube account

  • "...to a casting director? (fuck that!) I cast myself!" hahah

  • Now I know why I can't laugh at Ricky Gervais: I don't like him.

  • I have it on good authority that Nelson Mandela is a repeat-offending jaywalker.

  • @SubconsciousGatherer as is everyone ever from NYC.
