When I was four years old, my parents got me my first Game Boy which in some terms, the "lime-green screen wonderbrick". I got it along with a classic Game Boy game which I plan to do... a game called Tetris. Since then, I was hooked but the true enjoyment was a game called Pokemon and I've got into it since Red and Blue and now we're at Generation IV... Diamond, Pearl, Platinum and soon enough Heart Gold and Soul Silver.
Thanks for the memories Jon... I'm already shedding tears.
My first GameBoy was the original which still works and can still eat 8 AA at will. It's special to me as I got it for Christmas one year from my Grandfather. Tetris was epic as was the first Mario game I played on it, Super Mario Land 2. Memories!
Like most people (around my age anyway), the Gameboy was my first games system, though for me, it was a Game Boy Colour. The game I got it with was Pokémon Blue, essentially only because I watched the show. I've stuck with Pokémon, as well as of course getting several otehr games such as Mario, Sonic, Zelda, etc. But I still have that Game Boy, and it still means a lot to me.
As a slight irony, my favourite colour at the time was red, yet I got Blue for some reason...
Geeez octane. When you upload these classics, I start to tear up. ;_;
I too have all the Game Boy since it started. Can't say I still have the games though, which really sucks. First Game Boy I had....... was found outside lol. I thought I was blessed that day. After that, I was hooked on Game Boys and Nintendo.
Great game and the classic uploads are much appreciated in my book!
I still remember when my parents bought the Game Boy. I believe they bought it for the fact that it was bundled with Tetris. Anyway, Tetris was pretty cool, but once I got some other games, I pretty much brought it everywhere. I still have the old "brick" Game Boy, although it no longer works.
Since then, I've acquired all of the Game Boy line (Pocket, Color, Advance, SP, Micro), and still play and enjoy the old games such as these.
In a Nintendo Power magazine, there was a section that celebrated 20 years of the Game Boy.

In the old GB and NES versions of this game, 75M was a pain to beat because of the frailty of Mario.
Nonetheless, this game brings back great memories (when I was 5, I bought this).

I suppose I'll go first (see the description).
