Here is a smarter way using motherlode:

1: go in game (like always...)

2: press Ctrl-Shift-C (Shift-Ctrl-C is the same s***, but doesent matter...)

3: type motherlode and press enter

4:you will gain 50,000$

5: now again do step 2...

6:press the arrow up and motherlode will be directly written, without you writing...

7: you will gain 50,000$ again...

A cheat for ps3 is: 1. Pause game whilst playing 2. Press L1, L2, R1, R2 all at the same time then follow the in game instructions. Oh, and I recommend saving a double of the game without cheats and name it ....... No cheats. Then go to build mode, buy, decor, miscellaneous then select the first thing there(llama), place it anywhere then go to live mode, select it and select any cheat you want! The only down side is that console versions have a limit to furniture... Hope this helps
