  • so most alcohol places will have it

  • I grabbed a case a couple days ago, I shoulda' grabbed two! Already down to two six packs.

  • @PbNAphasia Yeah you should have! THis stuff goes quick!

  • Dead on review. After getting skunked from 300 gallon sellouts in 24 hours, FINALLY picked up six cases today. The Citra is ridiculous! Cheers!

  • @Drewska24 Yeah this stuff is getting harder and harder to find. Its an awesome beer

  • So glad I live 20 minutes from FFF!! I love Zombie Dust! Delicious beer!!!!!

  • @endofnight Lucky Bastard!

  • @doughanson78 Yeah man im interested in both of those! Let me know

  • Yes, easily the best Pale Ale on the market. Probably one of my top 5 beers of all. Love the Citra hops. Fremont Brewing here in Seattle just did a fresh hop with organic Citra and it's pretty amazing. They also did an IPA aged on Maple Louisville Slugger bats, called Homefront IPA. Proceeds go to Operation Homefront. Easily the best wood aged IPA I've had. If you want, hit me up on G+ (you already follow me) or BA (roverman) and I'll shoot you a box of WA locals. Including both these. Cheers!

  • @doughanson78 Citra hops are by far the best hop to use for subtle and sweet hop flavors in a beer. Really great for pale ale use. Ill hit you up on G+ in a few days. Im heading out to San Diegoso ill hti you up when i get back

  • I always here good things about Three Floyds, but since I live in California, I can't get it here, or at least I've never seen ANYTHING from them here.

  • @GrotesqueKevin Three Floyds does some amazing hoppy beers. Trade for them if need be!

  • @BeerGeekNation I don't know anyone to trade with?

  • I first had it at the brewery on Dark Lord Day and was blown away by it. I make it a point to get it on draft when I see it. Drove to the brewery hour and a half away to pick up a case of it. Typical 3 Floyds, they take a style, pale ale, but hop the hell out of it in a very good way. I love their other pale ale, Alpha King, but I think Zombie Dust will eat its lunch if it ever gets a wide release.

  • Awesome.. I love IPAs I need to try that out..

    Keep up the great work,

    All the best,

    -Pete

  • @mixcatcom THanks man! Yeah its an amazing beer get it if you can!

  • FYI this beer was released late last year under the name Cenotaph they changed the name probably around March for whatever reason. Good brew. Cheers

  • @chowner Yeah im guessing they changed the name because Zombie Dust is a lot easier for people to remember haha. Cheers!

  • It must be more tame by the time it gets here. Either that, or my Beer and WIne store doesn't handle it correctly when it gets here. I wasn't impressed at all with it. Like I said, I got it in growler and bottle, and neither were very hoppy. It tasted similar to a Boston Lager. I think the growler cost around $14. I've never paid that much for a growler of anything. And my first time was a flop. Oh well.

  • @nowitstimeforbeer

In all honesty, for extremely dry-hopped beers (especially those with crazy high beta acid aromatic hops), they go downhill extremely fast. In fact, I would also say get it on tap or with one week of bottling. Otherwise not worth the money. So, I don't really buy any DIPAs anymore and only IPAs if I can check the bottling date. Bells Two Hearted is an easy one to check the bottling date- plug the batch number on the back to bellsbeer[dot]com

  • @geeeter You sound stupid, no offense. To say buying Zombie Dust after a week+ after it's been bottled, is a waste, is the most ignorant thing I've heard in a while. Bravo!

  • I'm considering moving to Indiana just so I can get FFF regularly.

  • @ChadzBeerReviews WOuldnt be a bad idea!

  • Have those Rochefort caps always been on your wall ... or are they new .

  • @JackieChilds1 Nope the are new

  • Your description sounds like that of an IPA so this is one I have to try. I look for citrus and grapefruit aftertastes in my IPAs(Pliny spoiled me). How does this one compare to Great Lakes Burning River or Shorts Pandemonium,2 of my favorite pales. Three Floyds beers used to be abundant here in the Detroit area,I tried them all but now harder to find here. Hopefully I'll be lucky. Prosit!

  • @videoarchiveman Yeah its debatable that is is an IPA. They list is as an APA so that s what I went with. Ive had Burning River which is a great pale ale for sure. CHeers

  • @BeerGeekNation Burning River ... yea . are you familiar with alot of Great Lakes beers. If not the Elliot Ness is a good way to go , LAke Erie Monster is a big one too but its only released once a year .

  • Do you get Deschutes beer out there? If so I'd love to see you review the Red Chair Northwest Pale Ale when it comes out again next year. By far my favorite APA and IMO on par with Two Hearted.

  • @podunkparte I dont get them out my way but I can get them. I just reviewed The Stoic on Wednesday. Ive had Red Chair and your right it is really solid

  • @baconVader It was custom painted

  • Chris:

Man, if you sold me a slice of Poop using those words and with that excitement, I would not mind if it was overpriced.

You are, hands down, the best Beer reviewer on the web. By far.

  • @Progfan2010 hahaha thanks man! I really appreciate that. And i promise not to review poop then!

  • My new favorite APA, drank it at the brewery 4 times and bought a case last week. They've been sold out for almost a week now, too .

  • @PbNAphasia Yeah its amazing stuff. Is it a year round for them now?

  • Liked this a lot, but I don't rave the citrus as much as I do the pine, so Dale's beats this out in my book.

  • @silentbooger Yeah they are def different beers. Dales is more of a west coast type of taste to it

  • This stuff is dangerously drinkable haha

  • @mpplaysguitar hell yeah it is!

  • I really want to try their beers, they are obvious metal heads as am i :P guess i am heading to ebay :P

  • @HighlandBerserkr I think this is going to be a year round beer for them so I wouldnt pay to much on ebay its a pretty cheap beer!

  • @BeerGeekNation

I live in Canada :P and besides Denmark and a few states surrounding the brewery they dont sell their stuff anywhere else, so ebay is the only option for me :P

  • Review Piraat Ale!!!

  • @ZwienerZ Its coming soon!

  • 3F has no presence here still AFAIK :(, have DL bottles, had Moloko and opened a Dreadnaught recently which I really enjoyed. This seems to be one of their beers where everyone just really enjoys it.

  • @DireAxis yeah I have yet to hear a bad thing about this beer. It was just really really solid

  • Zombie Dust is amazing. I've had it on tap at FFF a few times and when I heard my local place got some in, I rushed to grab some before it sold out. I am lucky enought to get FFF in my area. Cheers!

  • @SlowdownBeats Nice! I would love to be able to get this on tap sometime. Sadly Im no where near any place that gets FFF beers :(

  • Pissed that I don't get Three Floyds on Long Island :-(

  • @Tianjoja I feel your pain!

  • I just don't get all of the hype over Bell's 2-Hearted Ale. I thought it was really bland. I've tried it in Growler and in bottle, and it was severely lacking. Not one that I'd ever buy again. Definitely Not worth the price. It must taste different in SC than it does in every other state. It kind of makes me not want to try this one, since that what you compare it to.

  • @nowitstimeforbeer Really? Fresh two hearted is an amazing example of a mid west IPA in my books. Cheap, year round and easy to get but remains really flavorful. This one is much more west coast then Two Hearted is

  • @nowitstimeforbeer IPAs always have to be fresh. I always say don't bother after 2 or so months old.

  • citra hops ROCK!

  • @bmeyer44 Hell yeah they do! Just bought a pound of Citra pellets!

  • had this one in chicago last weekend. it was good! :-)

  • @alteredstate42 yeah really nice stuff

  • I just reviewed this last night! And I just bought 4 oz of Citra hops yesterday haha.

This is probably my favorite APA - absolutely delicious and mouthwatering brew. Super hoppy but not too bitter - excellent stuff.

  • @SnobbyBeer yeah citra hops are an amazing hop variety. Im hoping here in the next few weeks when the new crop goes up for sale ill be able to do an imperial Citra ipa

  • Daisy Cutter is the best pale ale I've ever had, it's fantastic.

  • Still looking forward to your review of Surly Five. Any chance you'll be at Surly's Darkness Day this year on Oct. 22nd?

  • @pesky716 Im not going to be at Darkness day this year unfortunately. I will reviewing Five very shortly I promise :)

  • Sounds like a really nice Pale ale, The name is pretty cool! You think its a pale ale or an IPA?

  • @Tantrum777 Its one of those beers that the line is blurred between a pale ale and an ipa. If it were up to me I would call it an IPA for sure

  • I looking forward to drinking this again but I doubt it will top drinking it on cask with an extra dry-hopping of Citra. Love how hoppy this beer is without being overly bitter.

Wait a minute, Two Hearted is an IPA.

  • @StumpyJoeJr Some times two hearted gets lumped into the american pale ale category which I always thought was strange but it does.

  • Got a bottle as an extra in a trade, along with a Dreadnaught as an extra. Both huge wants. Had the Zombie Dust the other night, and WOW! I think one of my top 10, if not top 5, favorites of all time. Just an all around amazing beer.

  • @doughanson78 Yeah its a killer beer. Easy to drink and really hoppy

  • Sounds like my kinda beer ! From the art work on the label, to the flavor you describe, and the look of it in the glass. Cheers !

  • @WatchToddPattison yeah if you can get it its a must try!
