just beautiful, you used some techniques i haven't learned yet. its so exciting to hear all the different ways you can play a harp. i was rather impressed that you could play and wear a braclet. if i ever forget to take off my earings or my watch it ends up hitting my harp. this must be anther advanced technique i haven't learned yet.
@johncab13 Its a Camac brand harp model Aziliz and it has 34 carbon fibre strings. Wood is mix of maple and beech. Cost as I see in USA is 4.5 thousand dollars.
@7DarkSayomi Folk harps have levers at the top of the strings that allow you to change their pitch. The harp only has diatonic strings (seven rather than twelve strings per octave, or kind of like only the white keys of a piano). For example, if you want to play a piece with both an F and an F# in it, you have to manually re-tune the string from one to the other by flipping the lever to adjust the pitch of the F string.
Put your stuff on Rhapsody, please. This first track is awesome and I'd pay for it. : ) Wish I had access to it right now. Would like to use it for a project. God Bless!
Hi! I've just noticed the existence of this video. I'm very honored! And thank you very much for your kind comments. About the titles, it is in fact a set of tunes from Brittany, Ireland and Scotland:
2 Plinn (Breton dance, the first tune is one I composed, the second ond is traditional)
Then 2 traditional slow airs from the Vannes area in Brittany (the 2nd one is called "Mar fal d'oh hui meein dimeein")
she's changing the tuning of the harp. in order to get a higher tone, you have to shorten the string, which you do by those little mechanics, the so called levers.

Hi Rocken
Harp makers: Dusty Strings. Triplett
You can get a good D. Strings for under two thousand dollars (26 strings)
A 36 strig harp will set you back at least $5000
The Blevin brand is cheaper
Avoid Asian makes

This has been flagged as spam show
Afterwards 2 hornpipes from Ireland (if I remember well: the Friendly visit and The Kildare Fancy).
and then 2 Scottish reels.
I arranged all these tunes for the harp.
Please tell me if you want more details! I would be pleased to reply!

Hi Anne
My name is Tom Green and I am a History teacher who lives in Scotland.
Whenever I hear you play these pieces it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and makes my cheeks flush - you are a fantastic musician.
Could you tell me if you have recorded this music? I will be visiting France in August and would be happy if you could give me the name of the CD.
Best wishes
Tom Green
I have never been to Lorient but I will go next year I think. I am a very busy
