I showed this song to my literature class, since we were talking about poetry. most of the kids said it was freaky and why would people listen to "suicide songs." it's sad that people don't even BEGIN to listen to the real meaning of lyrics anymore. yeah, the song may be about "suicide," (if that's the way you see it), but it's SO much deeper than just some random dude killing himself. thanks, Spill Canvas, for making lyrics with so much meaning to them. it's sad that you broke up :(

@serialreader17 Honestly, I know he talks about wanting to commit suicide. But I don't really think it's a depressing song because if you listen to the end he gives reasons to live and as he is singing to us is clearly not dead. Which is a very heartwarming ending to a sad sounding song at the start. That's kind of how life is though, things get had for a while but if start looking for the things in life to appreciate rather than dwelling on the burns of the past things get better.
