im from ireland, im also married a filipina, i lived for a while in quezon city, i hope to go back sometime and visit my in-laws and maybe get around some more parts of the phils, i miss greenhills, megamall, and bargain hunting in the quiapo hehe, i miss jollybee, kenny rogers chicken and getting massaged in Urban Escape in QC, I miss the pleasent always smiling filipino people very much and i even miss riding in the jeepneys for a change.
I don't know about what good wife's Filipino make but I sure appreciate a few of the Nurses I have had here in States and my mother too in her last days in hospital before I took her home to pass..lovely and so kind, some complain they can be rough but I have not found that to be the case in my experience would love to visit some day..

When I got married in Iloilo City in April this year we went to process the visa application for the UK. It took just 3 days!! Make sure all your paperwork is in order and all will be ok. Now we are here in the UK and very happy. All the best..

Mina did have to take the CFO Class to get the stamp on her Visa to leave the Philippines. I didn't take any class. Her first green card was good for 2 yrs and then renew for 10 yrs.
@28meangirl I filed the paperwork in June 2007 and Mina was in the USA July 2008! After you passed the interview and receive Visa don't forget to leave you must take a Class "CFO" and get the cert. add to your visa. Good Luck and God Bless
@28meangirl - US Embassy is very tricky, try to check your documents carefully especially there's a paper inside the envelope or outside the envelope and if you flip the other side of the paper there you will see a place for the seminar you have to attend before you are clear to board your plane on the day of your flight. I experienced being rejected to board my flight because I failed to attend that stupid seminar for cross culture marriages. Bring atleast P500.00 pesos for the seminar too!

@JRHarris41 - yeah what I mean to say was the US Embassy does not tell you what to do next, but the information will be revealed on what to do next if you try to open the whole envelope they gave you with your passport and visa , and there's one paper with the symbol of the US Embassy on the front of the plastic envelope and if you flipped the back of the paper there you will see an address & location of the seminar. Very tricky I say but I'm not saying it was all the idea of the US Embassy.

Well I just went to the Philippines for the first time and got married! my experience of going was nothing short of wonderful, the people are friendly the place is beautiful and the food is awesome! i miss my wife so much but i will see her again in 3 months! so excited yet sad at the same time im not with her

@sundcekid Wow That Is The Best News. Mina Arrive on That Dated 2 yrs ago this July 27 thru St Paul. Once married then Apply for Perm. Resident Card and the SS Card. Don't listen to stupid comments like "you could have found younger", the Philippines has enough foreign dinosaurs preying on the young girls. What matters is what is inside, & you too seem very compatible.

SOUL MATES FOREVER.
I do not know about others only my own life. I pray and God Answer, I travel half way around the world and I found Love. Mina family love me as well. I met my filipina in october 2007 for the first time. we married in june 2008, and now we have a baby.
So i know,what u feel. In a few weeks i fly back to catch her and my daughter.

Your love story is very similar to me and my wife.
We met on AOL in 1999 via Instant Messanger, and I flew there to the Philippines for the New Year. It was 18 years since I left went there before going. I proposed on the beach's of Subic Bay. And got married in Aug. 2000 in Angeles City Pampanga.

The Philippines really is a special place full of proud friendly people. They have less but appear happier than folks here in the States. I was there at the end of last summer, and it was the most magical time of my life, and I've been around for awhile. I've found the love of my life.
