And of course feeders :) I have been thinking about adding some ox heart to his diet but fresh blood worm might be the way to go. I concur you don't need to watch a dovii kill to appreciate it's predatory grace and power, you just have to watch it prowl it's tank. I sit and watch mine for hours on end.

Whatever man, betta is deserved to be called, the fighting fish anydays because they're not pussies and they take on any size of the "same species" opponent.
Put one better and one cichlid in a fish bowl then and see what'll happen. Make sure that that they have the same size too. Get a giant betta is a good idea.

was that a female betta? it wouldve been more interesting with a male. by the way, that light blue gravel just takes away from the fish's colors. the idea is to have the fish stand out, not gravel.

@Sahir1122 The betta would probably destroy it. I've seen 1 betta fight a group of small cichlid before lol. It injured a couple, but they eventually killed it. You know cichlids, they're tough mofos
