  • who the fuck watches miss universe??

  • you must be italian, you wan to be calle latini w/e take it its a discarse for the ispanics, theve told me, well the ones who actually live down there, the ones in america have been brainwashed by the govt to be categorized in that box.

  • wow, I don't even remember commenting on this video. But yes, I'm Italian from Rome, born and raised...from the region in central Italy called latium, where the latini, the romans come from.

    take care.

  • Italians are not Mexicans you dumb sh!t. and who are u saying "take care" to?? ROFL u freak.

  • first thing first, don't call me a dumb shit, I'm gonna knock you out! second I know italians are not mexicans, I'm italian, I thought we were on the same page, you fuck n' keyboard warrior coward asshole.

  • fuc that , we well never be on the same page , Italians are always thinking there better then Mexican and all other Latinos , Italians think there white!!. LOL so u can go fuc a Donkey u Italian son of a b!tch. LOL

  • there's no "other latino" spic! The only latini, are the ones from "Latium" where I'm from, the region in central Italy, the land of the Romans. Europeans came and conquer your people, and forced spanish, a European language on you savages. Italians are white!! they are indo-European people! white caucasians, go to school dunm ass american!!

we build and set the standards for western civilization, spic!

  • so now your gonna call me a "spic" boi? ..if you were here i would slap the d!ck taste out of your mouth , real talk boi. you good for nutting dirty Italian trash wanna be gringa.

  • Like I said, dumb ass american mickey mouse culture, go to school, and learn some history and anthropology. "wanna be gringa"? what is that? I'm white European Roman! these stupid ignorant names don't apply to me. ok Savage? get an education! maybe in another country, you fuck n' people are # 55 in the world when it comes to education! the only knoledge you have, comes from the jew-tube called TV that you sit in front every day.

  • you still giving me lip boy?... u should know by now your not at my level , ill make you wash my feet boy. lol

  • Ok Savage, I had enough of you.

  • ok then , just admit u were wrong and were cool , ok?

  • Wrong about what brother? the historical truth of things? I don't look down on you, whoever you are, or what color you are, most likely you're a cool guy. This is not a "competition" who's the best race or nationality, it's about truth and historical facts. The latini are the Romans. Also mexicans have their own unique culture and greatness of the Maya and Atzec, What would you say if me, a European man, call myself a Maya?! Anyway, yes we're cool.

  • the fact of the matter is Latinos are the hardest working people on the planet , we get up earlier then anyone else and we work harder then everyone else , we work for everything we have. so plain and simple were better then u and you know it.

  • latino means from latin america dumbass

  • Latin or latino, was given to the "savages" immigrants to the US by the anglo saxon ruling populace at that time, based on the neo-latin language that these "people" spoke. wich was introduced by the Spaniard (Europeans), Spain was a Roman province (hispania), they spoke LATIN, the language of the romans, the LATINI,the ROMANS. Again, for the last time, the term latins is WRONG, They're nothing but SPANISH SPEAKING SAVAGES.

And all of you, American dumb assess of the assess..go to school.

  • hahaha the motherfucker thinks he's ancient roman....can you say ginny?

  • hmmm roman and a racist...gee what a fucked up combination...haha you probably have mostly black ancestors, i'd bet you're even half black, your mom getting raped by a black guy hahaha you're not sicilian with a tan, you're just half negro! hahaha what a fool, fuckin foreigner, learn some english you pathetic italian ginny cunt ravioli ass bitch

  • You, are a punk bitch. And you guys fought a war with Ethiopia under Mussolini, and still got whooped by spears. Your mother is a Mooli Cunt!

  • if you think americans are so stupid then why are living here.

  • wow, some serious animosity here. the romans stole almost everything of importance in their culture from the greek city states, except for the arch. kudos on that one. your statements are perfect examples of just the sort of bigoted egocentrism that caused the roman empire to grow too big for its britches and collapse under the weight of its pompous ambitions. but hey, I live in america, and history could be just about ready to repeat itself.

  • ah comon man dont rub the prez in our faces :P

  • thank you for posting bring memories of 80's thank you very very much

  • very good song great beat n everything n a lot of bands have covered it but i think authority zero did the best cover

  • I really liked the prop they used: the door with the television in it.

  • I do like this song :]

  • this song is awesome!

  • I hated this song with a passion when it first was released, but grew to like it after a while, lol

Bird is still the word though, lol

  • lol that wasn't random at all

  • 5 Stars!

  • Cool song

  • An original MTV classic.

  • barbecued iguana rofl

  • i first heard this song from the movie Duets , where paul G is driving in the car after he takes those pills.

  • Kramer sings this as he is reversing his peephole. It is also featured at the end of the episode after the credits on the show Seinfeld

  • thats where I first heard it!

  • Does anyone remember another Wall of Voodoo song called Red Light/Blue Light??

  • Yeah, sure - got the album it's on . . .

    DJ

  • Oh Yeah! But Marc Moreland's guitar playing in Tse Tse Fly bit me real good.

  • i loved thi s song , it played over and over on mtv, my favorite video, i would stay up late in my room and watch mtv, and never would turn it off, .

  • You can look at them and listen to them and tell that thier OHW's!

  • Ah, Wall of Voodoo's only good song. No offense to any fans.

They almost sound like a screwed up version of Oingo Boingo.

  • ONLY good song? Gee I can think of at least one more TERRIFIC song:"Lost Weekend"..actually EVER song off the album that spawned this hit was pretty damn good!

  • Celtic Frost did a good cover of this song.

  • A genuine classic - as most of their songs are.

Love the way Stan rolls the R's around.

  • This guy must've had the same experience I had. There I was in 1982 at the El Presidente Hotel in downtown Mexico City. I had Montezuma's Revenge and I lay in my hotel bed covered in vomit, shit, and urine. I was so sick I couldn't move. I was 16 years old and knew for sure I was going to die in a Mexican hotel. The radio kept playing American pop songs (TOTO, John Cougar, and Soft Cell to name a few) with some Mexican DJ spouting unintelligible gibberish. By the way, I survived.

  • Insane story, bro!

  • My Father spent each summer in Durango, and going back in his early 20's with some friends had an interesting experience along those lines.

That must be one Hell of a story. Cheers brother.

  • Good song with a catchy beat with some interesting archival footage mixed in with the video itself. However; does anyone else find it odd that, except for the Bean Senora at the end, there's not one image of a female in this video( even in crowd shots or archival footage)(not ONE) and there's many mujeres y chicas muy lindas in that country. Que lastima!

  • Good point!!!

  • lol@morgans odd commentz

  • Mucho, loco!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Where are these guys today? I think the guitarist passed away a couple of years back, but what about the others?

  • Stan continues to do terrific concerts-mostly in the Eastern US now-an he has released some solo albums that are TRUE masterpieces!

  • Wasn't he in the Flesh eaters also?

  • Yup, Stan sure was! ALOT of artists who later joined groups like The Blasters, Los Cruzados and Wall Of Voodoo were former members of this seminal Los Angeles 1970's Punk band! :)

  • The flesh eaters are good shit;one of my favourite death-rock bands ever.

  • I like wall of voodo. This song is the best but there is some things i dont like

  • I have to disagree somewhat. This is a good track, but I don't think I'd consider it their best. I don't know that I could name a "best" but my favourite song by them so far is the track "Far Side of Crazy" (Opening track on "Seven Years In Sammystown")

  • That song was better when Johnny Cash did it.

  • I loved this song very much back in 1982, when I first heard it. When they were showing photos of each of them, the Photo of the Drummer made him look like Black Gordman.

  • Cool video, first came out while I was in high-school, I had forgoten about this.

    I'll never forget the bean-bowl,,,lol.

  • Man, gotta love that beat up buick, my girlfriend put this on my ipod, no i listen to it at work every day.

  • che guppo ragazzi!!

  • huh, I always used to think this was Primus...

  • you didnt grow up in the eighties...thats cool

  • yeah it sounds just like like Primus, thats what i thought

  • Stan Ridgeway my friend. Great artist! Ring of Fire is the best IMO.

  • This might be the goofiest song Ive heard in a while. I like it though

  • Saw these guys at the Kabuki in SF. They rocked! My friend and I used to do a parody version of this:

I wish I was in Nagasaki,

    Eating chicken teriyaki,

    I'm on Japanese Radio...

    koto: (tong tong tong)

  • I like Kinky's cover of this song better :)

  • I heard this song on the radio today, and was singing it a lot. It sure does have a catchy tune.

  • ¿NoEntiende usted Inglés? soon we'll all be sayings we're on a Mexican Radio. I don't think this song or Wall Of Voodoo was as political as it seems to be these days. Usted Comprende?

  • OHHH! I love this song! XD

  • sticks in your head forever!

  • ...yes it does

  • just awesome!

  • "I wish I was in Tijuana, eating barbecued iguana." My goodness! Jason Fox would be horrified!

  • tijuana is ugly

go to the center of mexico

  • A fave from the New Wave!

  • When this song came out I was 12 years old and had just relocated from Omaha, Nebraska to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Santa Fe was so different from Omaha I felt like I was living on another planet. "Mexican Radio" became my personal anthem at the time, expressing the total mixture of fascination and dissonance I felt with my new home.

It's 26 years later. I live in Albuquerque now and have more or less "gone native". I still love this song as much as I ever did.
