The difference between supernatural and natural (end of the vid) is not tenable anymore as far as I know. Especially not since quantum uncertainty demonstrated how physics (that is: physical, not meta-physical) cannot be defined completely within the realm of reason, experiment, logic. Mathematics itself already reached its limits long ago (Gödel). In spite of these flaws (as I see it), your goal seems to be justified. But saving the planet does not necessitate this worldview.
@jcmmanuel "Especially not since quantum uncertainty demonstrated how physics (that is: physical, not meta-physical) cannot be defined completely within the realm of reason, experiment, logic." No.
"trounces creationism"? Creationism is not science of course (in the normal definition of it) but "social molecules"? That's certainly no science either. It reminds of Dawkins' "selfish genes" - does not exist. Any scientists knows that a gene is just a piece of information long enough to have a function. But maybe you are not just up to some atheist rhetoric here, I should read the book to be sure. Wonder if this is scientific like, say, Lynn Margullis' book Symbiotic Planet.
