I'm sorry that people have looked down on you. That's not all "Christians". Just because we believe differently doesn't mean we think less of someone who doesn't believe in JESUS CHRIST. If that has happened to you then I am sorry. JESUS CHRIST was and is REAL though. I hope and pray one day you will encounter his love and realize that for yourself. A naturalist worldview that relies on science must accept many things without direct evidence. All people have faith in their own worldviews, even naturalist scientists. They have to believe that their way of determining what is true is the best way. They have to believe others and trust the results of other scientists.
If you are a complete skeptic, you will never get anywhere in science. You would have to do all the experiments yourself and even then, you cannot prove 100 percent that you are not mistaken. You have to trust that your findings will hold true in the future, that the laws that operate now will not change tomorrow. You have to trust that your mind and thoughts in some way correspond to the way the world actually is. So, faith has evidence. But all evidence has faith too.
Man will never know where matter came from. there is no evidence for the 'jesus ' guy. Many of those ancient 'historians ' were proven to be liars, and their writings BS. Maternal love of a mother?! What planet you from? What about abortions? Where's the love in that? And the God? You got your head up in the clouds, cause in the real world, hundreds of thousands of babies get their heads crushed by steel tweezers every day, at the will of their mothers...
@ignilc I am completely against abortions first of all. Second, those mother's that choose to abort their child, never really knew them! They were afraid to take on the responsibility. The vast majority of those that do change their minds and have their child, regret the choice they initially made to abort and love their child as any mother. There are always exceptions to the rule, yet it is quite evident, even if YOU look at it simply as an evolutionary question, that a mother loves her child.
@ignilc Hi there. Just for the record, there is more evidence For Jesus than against him. I'm not sure which historians you refer to, but in recent history, most of the evidence has been proven true. If you'll research, you'll find that even top scientists have come to the conclusion that there has to be a creator, nothing else makes sense, this is the result of their research. The fact that God left this question with us is His desire for free will. If He simply sat on a throne that we all fear, is our relationship with Him a response or genuine. He wants us to seek Him and allow Him to work in our lives. It is then that we truly understand and walk with Him. Unfortunately in this day when Islam is the news, so many are skeptical of religion. Christianity should not be looked upon as a religion, but rather a relationship with the true God of the universe.

@ignilc As a scientist, I ask you this, where did matter arise? Where did the singularity come from? There is so much evidence of Jesus' existence than not. Historian's look at the writings of Flavius Josephus- a jewish historian. It is quite clear that Jesus did exist- not a fairy tale. Now the question of his diety.... Oh course you can question that, just as you can question the maternal love a mother has for a child, yet it is evident.
