Thank you very much for your suggestion. I actually already do that when I make smoothies for guests and people who aren't really into chewing properly. I also pre-chew all the food I make for friends. I find it's the little things that make the difference. After all, I got's plenty of spits.
falafel, It depends on what's in your smoothie and how big it is, as well as the size of your stomach, and what you are used to eating. They keep me full between 1-3 hours most of the time. I drink them on an empty stomach because I feel they digest better that way, but I imagine they are fine after a light salad or fruit. I wouldn't drink one after a heavy meal, containing meat or processed food because fruit can ferment in your tummy if your digestion is backed up with slow-processing foods.
Antony, sometimes we have to really feel like poo before we start to get the message and it hits hard enough to make lasting change. I want to try that lovely cat fur salad you made. the dressing sounds wonderful. :)
rawfoodkarma, yes, I have gone through it so many times, I started to feel insane : Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The beans always made me feel bad, but I kept eating them anyway. I won't do that again. :)
NitaBMe, I am so sorry you have been suffering so much. I hope you recover soon. Perhaps an increase in raw food or the addition of digestive enzymes will help you. Beano and Megazyme seem to help me.
Wow, 100% raw the rest of your life. That's rawesome! I've been having tummy aches too but chalked it up to a virus, not cooked foods. I admire you and will be following on this incredible journey.
Paula, Thank you so much. For a while I kept blaming my tummy aches on other causes, but after a while, a strong pattern began to emerge and they were unmistakably being caused by cooked food. Even small amounts did it.
Trev,I am sorry you get tummy aches when you eat cooked. That's normal when we eat a lot of raw because we increase our sensitivity to poison when we cleanse. Victoria Boutenko sums it up beautifully in her book 12 Steps to Raw. Thanks for watching :)
i so agree about cooked food. ive had constipation ever since i was little. ive tried raw on and off a few times and i noticed how easy it was for me to go to the bathroom after one day! juat flowed out....sorry TMI! LOL
Thank you so much for watching and your support. In my case, it flows a bit TOO easily, when I am raw, but I just need to modify my diet a bit, and maybe take some psyllium from time to time.
I agree abt cooked food. I have had zero in almost a year and it worries me if I would ever have to!! Well we're here for you girlie! Watch out for desert lizards! lolol
yardsnacker, Thank you so much. I probably glow from my greasy complexion as a result of eating too many corn chips. I actually have pimples! Thank you for your support and complements. I hope that I will have some nice cacti to eat before having to resort to lizards. :)
1:29 If you want to mix it with saliva, just gob a load of it into the blender before blending.

How many hours does that green smoothie keep you full for? Is it safe to drink one on an empty stomach?

so from 5pm through the night I was either in bed or on the toilet. I was really sick.
