@iibrashk That is no proof at all, a broad saying of a disaster (for instance Natural Disasters, cities rising and falling, wars etc) that will happen at some arbitrary point in the future is proof of nothing other than common sense because all these things happen all the time. Now i am not saying he never existed (in fact there are a few historical texts that refer to him) There is however no proof at all he was a messenger of a god.

During the plague people thought the end of the world was near. It wasn't. In total, the plague killed about 100 million ppl(forget about the problem this raises for the notion of a "good" God). Compare this with a couple of thousands of people dead because of natural phenomena. A life lost is a loss no matter what, but when it comes to "divine signals", the "bigger" one was a hoax, so are the "smaller" ones.
