@HuiChyr Nobody 'created' The Secret. It's always been there, everybody learns it from someone else. Rhonda speaks about the people that have taught her The Secret. Her aim was to make people AWARE of it, she never claimed she invented it!! She has changed peoples lives from passing it on, and has made money in the process. People slate her for making so much money, I take my hat off to her for doing it in such a great way. I believe in The Secret. I also believe that you wish you did.

What does she mean nobody knew about !!!...Duh..The Master Key written by Haanel has been out there for over a hundred years, I have an old tatty copy that I got in a jumble sale about 30 odd years ago, The so called SECRET is just a very commercial version of Haanels Master Key, I've noticed that not a lot of credit is given to the souce of all this Hooha a lot of shrewd business people are making lots of money from The Master Key without being too generous with the credit it is rightly due !!!

The only thing that made her rich is the fact that she sells something hundred of others have already written about. All those people who tells how to get rich are typically only book writers so they haven't tried it themselves. The secret is only a syndicate of self proclaimed gurus doing some marketing of their own product. They want you to look more into the other authors and thats how she makes money. Some even made a missing link to make the secret work to earn more money. Thats The Secret.

@steeeeever Your first part is very true. But I so happen to have tried just about everything. I called upon Jesus for years, I used the weirdest herbal potions you could possibly imagine, and much, much more. All those things did not help me.

And the law of attraction, The Secret, did!

I am not telling you to believe in it, that is your choice, and I will always fight for the right of everyone to believe in whatever they want, as long as they are not forcing it onto others.

The Secret saved my life.

I have been sick for the first 21 years of my life, and the hundreds of doctors I visited could not find the cause. Then September 2007 I read The Secret (what did I have to lose?) and 4 months later nothing less than a miracle happened when, after all those years, the cause of my illness was finally discovered. A year later I was cured!

Coincidence? No way. Seriously, no way.

I read "The Secret" at the request of a friend, and I have to say that it was the most intellectually lacking piece of prose I have read in my entire life. The book actually does imply that the ultimate strategy to get what you want is to just think about it, without any negative thoughts, and your wish will come to pass. The author actually makes the claim that in order to lose weight one does not have to change ones diet or exercise, but just BELIEVE that food doesn't make you fat.

But this 'secret' thing is total bullshit, I have tried it in many ways, never saw any changes. The only thing that will make any difference is keeping learning REAL useful stuff and taking action. This 'secret ' thing only changed the life of this Rhonda Byrne character.
