  • After a brief struggle I swung my fist at his chest and regained control of the plane. I warned him that the next time he was going to touch the controls I would wrap his mic around his neck and make a banner out of him. The rest of the flight was uneventful but it was the only time I wish general aviation airplanes came with an ejection handle.

  • A long time ago, I was building flight time as a traffic watch pilot. One day a new reporter wanted to sit up in the co-pilot seat on the Cessna 172 instead of the back where they normally do their reporting. We started our take off roll and I feel resistance on the yoke as it tries to rotate prematurely. I look over and the reporter has his hand on the yoke and tells me "Relax, I have hundreds of hours on Microsoft Flight Sim".

  • he didnt activate the landing gear!!!

  • I ve flowned boeing sim, the 737/747. My chances would be 75 % too land safely. Mainly cause i fly ifr all the time. On an airbus maybe 25%.

  • thats awesome If I won the lotto I would buy one lol

  • Horribe use, or no use at all of right rudder on takeoff, then I stopped watching...

  • If you don't know someone who knows someone who knows someone, just visit Aviation at Heathrow or Gatwick, where this was filmed.

  • @james737 someone under 18 ( 16 ) can try that?

  • @TheBadameco Yes, 16 is fine.

  • @james737 Do we have to pay anything??

  • @TheBadameco The full-motion simulators cost around £500-£550 per hour, plus tax, to hire.

  • Shit, i'd love to pilot one of these sims..Thanks to home desktop simulators these days many kids could hop in the real thing and be pretty familiar with the systems.

  • where is this place? i NEED to know. plaease and thanks :)

  • @bmjake Virtual Aviation at Heathrow and Gatwick in the UK.

  • @james737 Would it be ok for 14 year olds?

  • @CaptainMike97 Yes, 14 is fine, but you will need to accompanied by an over 18.

  • anyone kno wat the song is in the background

  • my dream is to spend a couple of hours on one of these level-d monsters

sigh im too fat and worhtless to be a real pilot

  • as long as i know the basics... and the procedure... yes i can...

but more information will be better

  • hey what's wrong?...first simulator experience???

  • i know i could well at least i know i could land the sim because ive flown in a 737-700 full motion sim before and i landed it just right

  • I hate sidestick controls.....what is it a heli? i like Boeings better and BTW i know how to land.

  • Only plane in FSX that I know how to land and takeoff with is the 738W.

  • can u land a real one. reason i as being the default 738 is so unrealistic its the reason fsx users are highly anticipating the NGX from PMDG

  • excessive bank on that 747 at 2:45 :-P

  • Oh nice, those are sure are very realistic and much fun! How much pounds did it cost for the sessions?

  • i can haha

  • i think i can

  • Does anybody see these comments below, I'm a real pilot ,Boeing sucks! What? Your a pilot in your dreams maybe. No card carrying commercial pilot would ever say anything remotely as critical of other aircraft as what you've said

    bitingbanana.

  • i guss i could fly and land it an take it off but finding my way around the place maby not

  • my question to that anwer is - Probably no

  • Way to keep it on the centerline on takeoff, thats just terrible the pilot needs to learn how to manipulate the rudders better thats just embarassing

  • Yes I pilot the B777-200ER for BA.

  • I love the exterior of the airbus 318 - 321 but i dont like the joystick i rather have a yoke like in a boeing.

  • yes.... yes i can

  • IF the aircraft was on Autopilot in cruise and was say a Boeing 737 up to 747 or Airbus A320-A340,and they chucked me in the Left Hand Seat, not a problem. Especially if the runway was ILS Cat 3 that i was attempting to land on, i would be scared but im sure that i could get it down quite safely. Having used FS9 for may thousands of hours and seeing what Mythbusters achieved and flying on Flight Experience Sims, i would be confident.

  • Could you land a jet airliner?

Not consistently enough to be a commercial pilot, as I've never flown a real one. I could probably pull it off if you'd put me by myself in a cockpit of a live flying a/c.

  • Do you have any flying experience? If not, then your claim is pretty ridiculous. Sitting in the passenger seat doesn't count as experience.

  • people like you should be real pilots!! i always said that exactly the same way and now im flying one !

  • whats the deal between airbus and boeeing here?

  • i wish there is one in egypt

  • What's the name of the song in the background?

  • Airbus sucks. Nice vid 5/5!

  • Booooooo. Airbus rocks my socks

  • Boeing sucks. Airbus are way safer. I should know, i fly them.

  • what,if it is no't boeing i am no't going!

  • ur not an airbus pilot im afraid to break it to u

  • @bitingbanana

you are mistaken....no real airline pilot would make a statement like that.

  • @bitingbanana O rly? Safer?

  • @bitingbanana if Boeing sucks, what does that make airbus? a totally f*cked up company.

  • boeing is shite airbus rules

  • that was soo fricken hard

  • ya i think anyone can land a plane with traninng i bet if you have spent around like 4 years in fsx you shoulf at least and a plane with the right intructions from the ATC'S

  • I could land one of these with no problem. Oh, wait, thats because I'm a pilot with Northwest airlines.

  • OH tell me how you get there if you really are a pilot.

  • oh sick can u tell me your story about how u became a pilot im 15 and i want to be a pilot?

  • yes you might be a pilot for Northwest, but will you over shoot the runway but, oh say 150 Miles?

I live in MN and I fly Southwest from now on :)

  • @ibified2 I hope you can than, otherwise I will never ever fly with Northwest airlines!!

  • @ibified2 You made me chuckle !

  • @ibified2 What does a pilot use for birth control?

    His personality.

  • Gullet

  • what tipe of plane was that that you were flying??

  • yes.

  • DOES ANY1 KNOW WHAT PROGRAM THIS IS!?

  • a monkey can do it

  • cant even keep the centre line

  • same old bull spouted by the You Tube desk top pilots - - always think they are better than they actually are.

  • Easy No problem infact I think landing the real thing would be just as easy as this simulator makes it look because like the simulator you CAN FEEL THE PLANE UNDER YOUR ASS...

  • I want the Boeing 744 Simulator!!

  • He flared at like 2FT..lol

  • im 14 and i think i might be able to land it, just give me like 15 hours to get a feel for the cockpit and give me a few (around 15) practice flight and ill give it a shot xD but first i would need to come up with the money...and i have played FSX for about 2 years so i guess i would know the airspeed requirements and where most of the switches are and stuff

  • I'm 14, I could probably land a Jet Liner. I have the Captain Sim 757 and Wilco Airbus vol 1 for FSX. In a 757 I know how to start the engines, ILS landings and work the FMC. In the airbus, I know how to start the engines and work the FMC.

I want to fly the actual planes in real life!

  • @sparta139 ud prolly shit ur pants

  • @sparta139 Bullshit.. just because you downloaded two planes doesn't make you a pilot...

  • @sparta139 dont think so. Flying a real plane has many things such as human factors to take into account.

  • I can land the 737-800NG

  • you probably could, but these sims are A LOT different than FS9/X. This is a real cockpit, not a desktop computer lol. I've landed one of Air Canada's A320 sims and it wasn't like flight simulator at all. It actually feels like the real thing(and acts like one too)lol. nice vid. Can't wait to go in one of these again. Now it will be the EMJ-175/190 sim. I wonder how I would do in that lol

  • To be honest, I am 14 and think I could make this with and without autopilot, so long the wind not were too strong, etc etc. Ive trained alot on the MicrosoftFlightSimulator 2004/X and its probably easier in that simulator, because you got all the buttons, and not the keyboard + real feelings flying a plane.

    I LOVE PLANES :D <3

  • dude! if u are in emergency condition u cant fly the a/c using the auto pilot, that is the procedure, even the auto throttle should be disconnected as well

  • highly doubt that sorry :( i love plane to =D

  • yes but FS is not close to the real deal

  • probly could mate, it helps, me too :)

  • maybe after you get ATPL you can say this ;) Just because you play MS Flight Sim does not mean that you could manage a real Sim or plane. I love planes too, and I fly the Wilco A320 in FSX since 1.5 years, and read many books and trained on many different stuff like weather, and aerodynamics, etc but that doesn't mean I could dare to say I'm able to fly the real thing. It's much much more to it.

  • @kdes I bet you could if you had to.

  • Nice music!

  • I could definately get a jet onto the ILS...landing? i don't know, but maybe lol. might land it, but hard.

  • I WANT IT. =)

  • i could!

  • i have a few questions for a real jumbo jet pilot, is there a button on the plane that lets you lands autoplitot?? post me please sweet vid!

  • mhm

most jets have several autopilots, and when you want to perform an "autoland" all three of those are enganged on the approach mode of the autopilot, and it touches down itself.

all the pilot has to do after that is pull the reverse thrust on

  • actually; most do not have that type of autopilot equipped. pilots manually break out of cloud at 200 or 100 feet depending on the type of instrument appraoch req. if visual they take it on autopilot until around then as well

  • i have a VERY important question for a real pilot of a jumbo jet. Is there a button on the plane that lands the plane on autopilot? I REALLY WANT O KNOW!! please post me on my email or youtube acount please. nice vid!

  • no there isn't one button there are many buttons that you set to land it on autopilot u press ATHR wich stands for autothrottle and you turn a knob until it shows the desired airspeed in knots then you use the heading selector so the plane maintains a heading then you select the vertical speed ( how many feets does the plane gain or lose per minute and then you select the autobrakes to 2 or 3 depending on environemental data and if correctly set the plane will land and brake by himself.

  • @grahamshark: if you think you can simply land a jet by pressing a button ... then we're all pilots ... hahaha. Go to school kid before learning how to fly ;)

  • Yes I could.

  • Heavy crosswind during takeoff, huh?

  • DUDE can i fly in one and where and do they have a 737

  • do you pay anything, how long can you be there, i am 13 and from czech republic, but i live in la. but i am coming back to europe soon, so just in case i go to UK, do they have A340 or A330 simulators?thanks

  • Yes I can ,, Thanks for the Video captain

  • I want those in my House!!! <333

  • Wow!!! I'm 12 and really wanna do it!!! Where did u go to do it?

  • youve got to know a guy who knows a guy who works at walmart who knows a guy that trains pilot on these things i think.LOL

  • after 10 years of playing air sims fly,FSX,x-plane and non of real flight I still can take off almost any reallife plane if I would have a change

  • Yes I could land a jet liner.

  • where at?

  • its also at luton btw

  • london, manchester and somewhere alse.go to the web site.

  • now try to also control the throttels at the same time, have fun ;)

  • From what I understand on a plane like this the autothrottle is engaged and tends to only be disengaged at minimums - so it is only on takeoff and touchdown that the throttles are used manually.

Pilots will keep their hands on the throttle quadrant even when the autothrottle is engaged to enable them to take control quickly if needed.

Planes this size tend to be very much flown from the FMC.

  • whoa!! very nice!! where can you get this machines?

  • that machine is not much cheaper than the plane itself :)

  • i have 3 qestions

1.can a 12 year old kid fly that

2.how much is it to fly it

3.can you taxi to a gate

    nice vid (:

  • Yes I am only 12 and i have flown a 747 simulator before and you can taxi to and from to the gates. When i went i got to do it for free but only because I have a friend who works at a place like this.

  • im 13 amd i spent 3 hours in one(none stop)

  • Yes i think i could fly a jet airliner as i have experience of doing so

  • Is this video from "Virtual Aviation" in the UK? If so, I've been wanting to go there myself! Thanks for sharing! +5 points!

    Check out my videos...

  • yes. im pro. nice. video. where is the simulator?

  • Yes~! XD

  • Very nice, how much?

  • nicw job keeping it on the runway.

  • definately gonna give em a call!!! i have done it for real 2 times!!! in light aircraft

  • definately gonna give em a call!!! i have done it for real 2 times!!! in light aircraft.

  • KWL VIDEO GD LANDING!!!

  • Really nice :)

  • Great video! Being a pilot I enjoyed the off centerline T/O. Who does the background music? Excellent choice.

  • does anyone know what scenery they use in this simulators-does it bear any relation to ms flight sims add on scenerys?...may sound a stupid question but thats the way it is

  • Im gonna be a pilot when i grow up

  • that landing was significantly better than the takeoff lol.

  • Excellent! This would be so much better than Microsoft flight sim. How can I sign up to fly real simulator?

  • I got to go on that today for my tour with Air canada. It was "take your kid to work day" Great experience.

  • ouch

  • haha im so glad your not flying a real plane haha

  • sure i can, but im just 13 years old .

  • I WANT ONE AT HOME!!!

  • Nice video but what is the music ?

  • its an FMGS in an airbus mate.

  • Wow, that looks like heaps of fun
