Sorry, the solo didn't seem to be connecting with the backing track very well and, at least in the beginning, wasn't well executed. It sounded like a collection of scales played for speed rather than context. Maybe with a different backing track it might have worked, but, in my opinion, this time it didn't.
Thank you, sometimes I feel I hit a wall at guitar playing, but hearing good guitar players like you, it motivates me and helps me break these walls, for that, I thank you.
Stupendo anche questo :) cosa mi consigli di studiare per qnt riguarda le scale x avvicinarmi a questo genere musicale?? e mi potresti dire dove scarichi le basi musicali x le tue improvvisazioni??
Does anyone have any tips on how to play cleanly when using hybrid picking and a lot of overdrive? I can get my right-hand fingers moving and picking, but I can't mute effectively when hybrid picking. I usually have my right-hand thumb in contact with the strings when I'm alternate or economy picking and play very clean that way, but when I begin to hybrid pick, the motion pulls my hand away from the strings and I lose the ability to mute...anyone else dealt with this problem?
Some technical as fuck playing there. Can you please tell me what scale (if any) you were using there. I play death metal and shiz but love playing blues and want to
you gotta deal with a lot of boring theory stuff before you can get to the soloing and stuff, but trust me. study theory, and play along to stuff like this. get it in your ear.
the only difference between this and metal (for soloing at least) is that there are more key changes in this, and jazz is a little more smooth.
if you want to get more of this sound, you gotta listen to this kind of music.
I like this a lot and @KiKeramirez who cares if you don't like the metal?I love metal music you Peruvian Llama herder. And to all those argumentive fucks blabbering about clean channel or high or low gain,no FX at all and those who think so highly of themselves.Piss Off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wanted to build a guitar with the same wood combo(i.e. alder for the body and ebony for the f-board)....but for the pickups, especially at the neck, i can't decide which would replicate the same sound from this dud'es neck pup...a Dimarzio Breed or Evolution?!
@SurveyofFilmMusic time is fine, u should reference the time in the video where he went wrong. Though i do find this has no groove to it. there needs to be more development as the chords and key changes.
the guitar is very aggressive on the smooth track... this is really improvising... but not the best musical way that it can be done.... I know that he is great... but be musical... it is more rewarding...
considering that I couldn't play this, it kinda isn't fair but ill say it anyways. I love the work, really ridiculously fast stuff with some really good note choices. It just needs more melody. it's way too up and down and up and down. If you are into that stuff cool, but personally it would have added a lot just to have a second to breathe and contemplate a melody. That's why saxophones are so great, that breathing space is built in. I love transposing saxophone solos to guitar for ideas.
ottima improvvisazione, complimenti!
What scale is used most in Jazz Fusion? Sounds very chromatic.
Thumpstarrr 3 months ago
@Thumpstarrr it does use alot of chromatic scales..but they mix it all into different chromatic scales into one

But it is a little funny to hear such a heavily distorted tone playing over a gentle piano and brush drums.
