  • What scale is used most in Jazz Fusion? Sounds very chromatic.

  • @Thumpstarrr it does use alot of chromatic scales..but they mix it all into different chromatic scales into one

  • You're thinking more metal than jazz.

  • i play with left hand ! and i'm proud of this !

  • Great technique man, also, great note choice, but try to choose less of them :)

  • Nice try.

Use less gain and less notes.

  • @Klovember noob

  • Sorry, the solo didn't seem to be connecting with the backing track very well and, at least in the beginning, wasn't well executed. It sounded like a collection of scales played for speed rather than context. Maybe with a different backing track it might have worked, but, in my opinion, this time it didn't.

  • Not a fan on your tone but nice touch!

  • Nice job! :)

  • Thank you, sometimes I feel I hit a wall at guitar playing, but hearing good guitar players like you, it motivates me and helps me break these walls, for that, I thank you.

  • I love this type of tone, the gain or drive at a pretty good range.I dont like a bluesy clean tone. This rules!

  • very nice, a little bit more white space and its golden!

  • hi:

what should I exercise to practice to render well in soils?

  • i think u should learn more patterns and licks , nice playing thou and nice guitar

  • Well done sir!

  • sounds like an improv....

  • Not enough gain..... needs more lol

  • I heard first three note and i noticed without checking the your name, that you were Italian, great playing with great phrases!!!

  • What guitar is that? That's a KICKASS guitar!

  • you should at least place mirror in your next video

  • Does anyone have any tips on how to play cleanly when using hybrid picking and a lot of overdrive? I can get my right-hand fingers moving and picking, but I can't mute effectively when hybrid picking. I usually have my right-hand thumb in contact with the strings when I'm alternate or economy picking and play very clean that way, but when I begin to hybrid pick, the motion pulls my hand away from the strings and I lose the ability to mute...anyone else dealt with this problem?

  • @rouby44 how can u not be clean if ur using alot of overdrive??

  • @MoFo2127

I'm talking about getting unwanted string noise while hybrid picking and playing with a distorted tone...

  • @rouby44 ahh ok i gotcha

  • You can get the audio-mp3 of this track at getyourmp3s doht cohm.

  • Some technical as fuck playing there. Can you please tell me what scale (if any) you were using there. I play death metal and shiz but love playing blues and want to

    Get into jazz.

  • @ChainsawVsGod buy the jody fisher books on jazz.

you gotta deal with a lot of boring theory stuff before you can get to the soloing and stuff, but trust me. study theory, and play along to stuff like this. get it in your ear.

the only difference between this and metal (for soloing at least) is that there are more key changes in this, and jazz is a little more smooth.

if you want to get more of this sound, you gotta listen to this kind of music.

but yeah, look into those books.

  • very good right hand technique !!!

  • I heard there are a lot of fusion guitarists in Italy. So Italians also knows fusion, not only motorcycle racing.

  • hey whoa what kid of a guitar is that? sit nice prob a custom.

  • I like this a lot and @KiKeramirez who cares if you don't like the metal?I love metal music you Peruvian Llama herder. And to all those argumentive fucks blabbering about clean channel or high or low gain,no FX at all and those who think so highly of themselves.Piss Off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i would suggest using less gain ... seems you're using more than you need.

  • @xtasy2k7 Gain forever! \m/

  • @sevenstrings777 yeah fuck it LOL

  • @xtasy2k7 Who's to say how much you need? It's just a personal preference.

  • Flawless phrasing!

  • must have been hard to find a decent lefty seven string.

  • @PennybagDarrell : sure do

  • You lend a great hand to the lefty's of the world! Hands aside, your technique is a service to your craft!

  • I won't say anything bad about this video or the playing. It's good and impressive. Better than myself.

But it is a little funny to hear such a heavily distorted tone playing over a gentle piano and brush drums.

  • As a fellow left-handed guitar player, I have to say that this is amazing.

  • As a fellow left-handed guitar player i have to say that this is amazing

  • @Deviant2792 : good for you

  • @osler04 piss off

  • If you play without the distortion it would be wonderful.

By the way, awesome job man!

    Greetings from Argentina!

  • @MarianZep : it would be wonderful, you say? you think? upload your clean version of the song let me hear it. then i'll tell you whats better.

  • i wish i could play this type of music but its just so hard to follow the progression with all the arpeggios and scales

  • @zubestr : bad for you. before you were born there was called "PRACTICE!"

  • @osler04 i've never heard of that please elaborate

  • Did you make that guitar yourself? Its mega damn sexy! And your playing is flawless

  • this technique uses a pick and arpegios at the same time?

  • @uffale Yes man!

  • @uffale : is there any other way how your play your guitar dumb ass? of course you pick it, did you see him strum?

  • @osler04 do you even know what an arpeggio is?

  • @uffale : yes i do. do you even know how to play guitar or you just enjoy watching others play?

  • @uffale : is there any other way how youplay your guitar dumb ass? of course you pick it, did you see him strum?

  • @uffale : is there any other way how you play your guitar dumb ass? of course you pick it, did you see him strum?

  • I wanted to build a guitar with the same wood combo(i.e. alder for the body and ebony for the f-board)....but for the pickups, especially at the neck, i can't decide which would replicate the same sound from this dud'es neck pup...a Dimarzio Breed or Evolution?!

  • zero time, zero groove. go back to the metronome bub

  • @SurveyofFilmMusic time is fine, u should reference the time in the video where he went wrong. Though i do find this has no groove to it. there needs to be more development as the chords and key changes.

  • GReat ...excellent !!!

  • the guitar is very aggressive on the smooth track... this is really improvising... but not the best musical way that it can be done.... I know that he is great... but be musical... it is more rewarding...

  • Too clean!!

  • great playing man, sounds like holdsworth style legato... very talented

  • You play like greg howe...

    Your sound and technique...

    it sounds really like him...

    nice play...

  • Woah there fella, Nice playing but in jazz you need to know when to shut up. Far too many notes. Stop, Add some space to the tune

  • considering that I couldn't play this, it kinda isn't fair but ill say it anyways. I love the work, really ridiculously fast stuff with some really good note choices. It just needs more melody. it's way too up and down and up and down. If you are into that stuff cool, but personally it would have added a lot just to have a second to breathe and contemplate a melody. That's why saxophones are so great, that breathing space is built in. I love transposing saxophone solos to guitar for ideas.

  • great note choice... phrasing was good but not perfect... tone was pretty cool too but could really use a nice delay to smooth out some of the fizz

  • Good one man, nice playing. Nice guitar, Carvin guitar are excellent, I use a H2T.

  • goob job!

  • porco giuda....veramente Holdsworthiano!

    complimenti

  • Ok any one know any bands that play this style. I have none of this kind of music.

  • Allan Holdsworth? =]

  • @impavitus i dont really know about band... but if you like this kind, you'll like greg howe...

  • @SoulriverG oh wow, hes good. thanks

  • @impavitus i dont really know about band... but if you like this kind, you'll like greg howe...

  • where did you get this backtrack? or did you make it?

  • terrific playing

  • great playing dude

  • I hate the metal but this is really good... Bravo!

  • Thanks for your comment, is very rewarding! :-)

  • @kikeramirez Metal will break your fucking house down

  • @kikeramirez this is not metal lol

  • Veramente bravo complimenti!! Bello stile!!! :)

  • are you left handed or is the video mirrored?

  • oh, no no, i am left-handed! :-)

  • @sevenstrings777 thats so cool (:

  • @sevenstrings777 Another lefty player! as am I.

  • @d3tach3d : But do you play like him or better? i guess not!

  • @osler04 was my comment suppose to be an insult? I guess not! You dick. And yes I can play like him. idiot.

  • excellent !!! good feeling !!

  • sorry for my bad english

    *nice improvisation

  • Thaks man!

  • fusion?

    i dont sure...

    the backing track is swing...

How to PLay and Improvise Jazz".

  • jazz is cool and relaxing yet inspiring and energetic at some times but either way it still just sinks in great

  • What a cool improv \m/

  • what guitar is that?????????

  • Read the author's comments, and you might just find out.

  • Bella questa improvvisazione,davvero bravo.

  • bravissimo, che chitarra usi??

  • grazie...è una carvin 7 corde!

  • great!!! nice solo, nice phrases!!!

  • very good playing!! I like your guitar also.

  • Yeah Carvin!

  • complimenti!bravo!

  • can someone please tell me loads of good jazz fusion bands?

  • Michael Brecker, GHS (Gambale - Hamm - Smith), Allan Holdsworth, Frank Gambale, Tribal Tech, Chick Corea, Dave Weckl, Mike Stern, etc, etc, etc...

  • Casiopea and T-square haha they're so awesome

  • ottima improvvisazione, complimenti!

  • nice!!

    checkout my jazz style cool#9

  • Where did you get the backing track?

  • ..internet...eMule...

Fusion Jazz. :)

Vedi Frank Gambale o Allan Holdsworth. ;)

  • Giorgio non va bene. Sei troppo bravo ;)

  • awesome
