  • Zumba for classic film fans.

  • i dont remember watching this ever but it was in my likes or favorites

  • dude u r insane i like dat

  • Is the title a Maya Deren reference?

  • Is the title a Maya Deren reference?

  • @mohallia ~ Yes. And raw, pre-edited footage from feature films is known as "rushes."

  • Let's send out for more

  • amazing!

  • @plappolog - thanks!

  • Which film does the shot of the samurai standing into the wind come from?

  • @MrFrigs - It's from Masaki Kobayashi's "Seppuku" (a.k.a. "Harakiri", 1962), a very good film. The actor playing the samurai is Tatsuya Nakadai.

  • excellent selection of movies. You have great taste.

  • おもしろい!名作ばかり!

  • ありがとう。

  • Who are you.

  • nice selection of films

  • Brilliant piece of work... fun to watch. I use Pinnacle Studio to do video editing. But what software do you use to grab clips from existing DVDs?

  • is this like a video collage?

  • Yes, this is just a collage of some favorite films (plus a couple others). It's not supposed to be funny, have a punch line, or anything like that. I just hope that you enjoy watching the clips.

  • Once again,very well done.

Your love for cinema and sense of esthetics never ceases to amaze me.

I'm glad you've followed my advice [intentionally?] and used clips from "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari".Can't wait to see more!

    Cheers.

  • Fun fun fun! Hope you enjoyed doing this as much as I enjoyed watching it.

    Any chance of another one?

  • Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. And, yes, putting it together, I did have fun.

Will there be another one? Well ... that depends on how well this one does.

  • In the meantime, I invite you to check out my similarly-themed video "Re: you will want this 1:15 of your life back."

You can easily find it just by going to my "channel" (member page).

  • How do you get the link to work at 1:15 of your video?????

  • I'm not sure that I understand the question? The highlighted numbers that jump to that time in the video is a new item, and I can't tell you very much about it.

If you're asking about how to get to my You Tube video "Re: you will want this 1:15 of your life back," its URL ends with: /watch?v=9wcorH9SfUI

  • No, I was just taken aback at clicking on the 1:15 and instead of going to the video, jumping to 1:15 of the video. However, I noticed it on a couple of other videos the same day. It might be a "feature" they forgot to mention or it might be an inadvertent but handy glitch...

  • Well, I think it was just a natural reaction to try to guess all of them. I'm hoping that they don't get too much more obscure, though, as I might have trouble playing :)

    Great films, though.

  • Damn it, I missed Fallen Angels, Romeo and Juliet, got Duck Soup wrong, Faster Pussycat Kill Kill, Enter the Dragon (can't believe I missed that one), Citizen Kane (thought it was, but wasn't sure, can't believe I missed that, too), and A Few Dollars More.

Must see the others! Good one, but I almost ran out of room in my response :) And yay, Nosferatu :D

  • If you want to think of this video as a guessing game, that sounds like fun. But my first hope is that the viewer just enjoys watching these movie scenes rush by.

    Glad you liked it.

  • "Touch of Evil" Which, by the way, I saw for the first time earlier this week so would NEVER have been able to pick out!

The only one I thought would have fit in right near the end was "Run, Lola, Run"

  • I want to see him ruin Les Diabolique in the next one XD

  • "ruin"?

  • Yeah, ruin the film. Like a spoiler.

  • Okay, I caught La Strada, Casablanca, Nights of Cabiria, Chungking Express, Mr. Vengence (or something like that?), 8 1/2 ?, Monkey Business?, La Dolce Vita, Shakespeare in Love, Some Kurosawa film I think, Bond movie, Singing in the Rain, Dr. Strangelove, (Hitchcock?), Une Chien Andalou?, Something by Fellini probably, Nosferatu, Buster Keaton, Seventh Seal, Bicycle Thief, Monty Python, M?, Yojimbo, aother Hitchcock film I think, Crouching Tiger, , Hard Days Night, and another Fellini?
