  • Everybody knows that the real bosses of this game are the skeletons; those damned things will murder you worse than Death Bringer himself.

  • For your info, Amazon has this game run on PC for around $3.

    I tried and it's smooth.

  • How to effectively do the sword dip?

I tried many times little is successful. The enemy always walk away.

  • this is some nice childhood here tnx

  • Well there you go, you learn something new every day. I can't say I ever tried to kill them extensively, but I always thought the Skeletons had infinite health here.

  • I have this game for the Sega CD. The soundtracks are a bit different, but still sounds like Genesis music.

  • @wii1245 Sega CD version has the original arcade soundtrack, which is of slightly better quality than the Genesis port's. It's also one player only, which sucks.

  • Its console or Steam version ? Because Ive play this game as a kid on PC and that version was a bit different so im asking. I bought this game on steam yesterday. All this memories.

  • you defeat only dheat bringer and win

  • I played this game when I was about 4 and was always afraid of the bosses

  • Haha I loved playing this game. I used to always try to kill the gnomes and the terrified crowd too. And probably the king and queen now that I think about it...

    Ahh good times.

  • How do you do the downward stab?

I fucking hate how the boss has unlimited magic and he spams unguardable spells that take 2 lifebars away. 1 hit from him and more than half of max health is gone.

But 1 thing I have to ask, could you beat the game without using the downward stab, or spamming the runnign and jumping attacks?

  • The GBA Version has the same Music over, and over, and is more like this Version...what is the Cheat code for the GBA Version? :33 hey those skeletons cannot seem to die in the GBA Version.

  • gg with the dragon

  • WOW at 6:49!

This is why running with a FORK is dangerous!

    XD!

  • I love the end with death adder when he continues to jump on him with the sword! =D

  • 2:27...that one statue looks like a pig guard from Star Wars. Or a pissed off Gannon.

  • I prefer the old looking guy with the axe

  • awesome game

  • dang i had no idea u can kill the skeletons at the end i always beat it without killing the skeletons when i played

  • Yes, you can kill the damn skeletons. Big whoop, wanna fight about it? I always tried to kill them first, because once you kill them, the other guy is so easy to kill. If you have the skeletons coming after you the whole time you're fighting the other guy it's a lot harder.

  • That's bullshit those skeletons don't die. I just tried with all my lives right now. You don't even see them blinking when they die like all the other enemies in the game.

  • The second one blinked once the first you can't see well beucase the frames were probably a little faster to capture and you CAN kill the skeletons but they have like double the health of Death Bringer so it seems impossible

  • I never knew those motherfucking skeletons can die. :-)

  • @TheWatcherBis I agree with u too.

  • I always thought the skeletons were invincible.

  • I want this ending music as a ring tone.

  • Woooo, this reminds me how much I loved this game back in the day!

And gotta love the Death Adder theme music ^_^

    Thanks for the post!

  • I always thought skulls are invincible until once my sister killed one of them by accident......

    Those two are really annoying.

  • If I'm not mistaken, in the arcade version you could kill the skeleton guards, but new ones would keep replacing them until you defeated Death Adder himself (and when he dies, they automatically die for good).

  • WHAT? you can kill the skulls? i never knew that, i never knew anyone knew that, if i ever get bored im going to try killing them =/ but with Death Bringer there its almost impossible surely.

  • the thing also if u keeptoo far a distance from death bringer he does his version of the dragon god attack on you which bloody kills ya lol

  • The original System 16 arcade Golden Axe had significantly better graphics & animation than this downgraded Megadrive/Genesis translation.

The only official home version that's as good as the arcade is the XBLA version on Xbox 360.

  • Yea but the arcade version also ends after you fight Death Adder. I'll take the two extra levels over some slightly better visual effects.

  • Freaking hell... how long do those skels wanna take to die... lol.

  • They actually have 16 lifebars each, which is equivalent to down thrusting them 16 times. Death Bringer has 8 lifebars.

  • I see. This is indeed a new discovery. Even the players at gamefaqs said the skeletons are invincible.

Also I think this is not your best video.

  • @ninjasrok on the GBA Version they cannot Die I tried the 16 Lifebar thing, and they cannot seem to Die...maybe I'am wrong, but currently I still own it I have yet to see them Die...it's a waste of Time.

  • Something curios: I have the "Sega Genesis" version of "Golden Axe" (even if I have it for GBA, among the videogames of "Sega Smash Pack"), but I was never able to kill the skeletons. I believed they could be killed only after having killed Death Bringer!

    Guido.

  • Wow so those skeletons can be stopped...

  • Seriously, I couldn't stop laughing at all the deaths from falling!

  • i always thought the 2 last skeletons were invincible i used to just smash in to the boss lol it was better on 2player tho coz u cud have sum1 keeping them skeletons at bay lol

  • Yeah, you kill the 2 skeletons.

And it costs all my credits if I try that.
