  • ive owned several nighthawks i had a 1985 ,450 2cyl..a 1982 ,750 4cyl..a 1986 700s,shaft drive and now a 2003 750,,they r all great super realiable/fast bikes.

  • Did you like this bike? Recommend it for my first bike?

  • @3o4Titties i got a 83 650 as my first... these bikes are fun and pretty damn quick

  • @amberTrichome before all this happened I did ride around on a 1978 Honda express, and it alone is way heavier than a bicycle and has a trick to balancing, so with all that said if you still have that question, or anyone who does, I would reccomend a Honda rebel or some other nice 250cc to first start out with and get used to cycling on that. I agree the Honda nighthawks are cool, but too fast and heavy for begginers, but next year I want to buy one only because I have gained good SAFE exp :)

  • @3o4Titties The first time I saw a 1983 nighthawk was at a guy's house I picked up house rent from, and he was selling it. It needed 4 things, new tires which are inevitable, a speedometer cable, and either a new ingition switch or a new cylender starter, last but not least new seat upholstery. All these things would cost about $250. I hopped on it and just straddled it and leaned it for feel.. it was really heavy, never handling a motorcycle. Bought a like new real nice Honda rebel instead.

  • @jtypo lol of course its going to be heavier than a bicycle its over 400 lbs... I almost weigh 140 and can pick it up and not the girl way... idk i learned on the 83 cb650 n felt it was fine but definitely depends on the person... cant be stupid :) respect the machine. i think its the perfect motorcycle though, low maintenance, comfortable and looks good and enough get up n go to save your ass with pods and stg3 jetting :)... first honda DOHC 650! the rebels are cool too neighbor chick has one

  • @amberTrichome well I was reffering to my motor scooter when I was talking about the bicycle. lol. and yes the 650 nighthawk wheighs like 450 as I seen on some blog or something. which sounds about right. My Honda rebel weighs 331 lbs when it has all the proper fluids and a full tank of gas. You can balance a whale, it just all depends if you can control it. Not that I couldn't life the nighthawk back then. Just too heavy to start out with in my opinion. But by this comming summer.

  • @jtypo yea realized that afterwards lol you will enjoy it! i love my nighthawk you are cruising up till about 6000rpm then it takes off!

  • @amberTrichome huh? is that you describing the deffenition of fast? lol. I want to get one by this summer, but I live in Missouri and it's hard to find one close enough to my house that is at the right price, what do you have? I'm looking at a 1993 nighthawk 750 :) it's from Oz Powersports in Kansas, it's salvage so it's cheaper, and if it didn't need to much I'd get it.. if it's still there, I see it has a bent right mirror (from view of sitting) and I think one of the front blinkers.

  • @jtypo lol fuck yea man! had to embellish it a little bit lol i got an 83 650 nighthawk watch?v=hJPJ4ZH7_3U thats it before i got it... no more saddle bags, but got rectangular mirrors, chrome handle bars and rubber sport grips with little skulls lol and the very essential new turn signals!! its got a few more scratches now but that adds character right?

  • @amberTrichome ok cool, I have a bunch of gear that came with my rebel and I think it looks very good, but I'll check it out man. If I remeber this page I will keep you updated about the nighthawk. If I can get one like I was saying I hope it didn't need too much, you can try googling that place and look up that nighthawk if you want, but yeah I'll check that video out.

  • @jtypo im checkin it out looks nice got the engine guard/foot rest for on the freeway! just needs a new mirror and the turn signals maybe handle bars but that stuff is pretty easy to change... the paint looks to be in damn good shape with no dents if it runs go for it!

  • @amberTrichome yeah! I thought that was a crash bar? It also has a windshield, luggage rack, and sissy bar! I hope it's still there lol. I think the odometer says 22,000 but I hope it's at 20,000 or less, cause that way it can last for a long time, that is the plan for when I move up! cause it should last 30,000 without problems, and with good maintaining it should last even longer.

  • @jtypo theres a video of a nighthawk on here with 100k ive got 32 on mine and it still runs strong these bikes are built to last good luck!
