Regionalization and then globalization (real globalization) is just a byproduct of increased education and scientific advancements particularly in Information and TeleComm tech. People, most educated people at least, see each other more and more as part of the "in" group of humans, not one nationality vs another. A global culture is emerging, particularly amongst the younger generations. I know I for one feel more in common with teenagers of any race/nation, than adults of my own "heritage".
