The turntable is a standard vinyl turntable but in this video I'm using Serato to play digital files from my PC with Control Vinyl.

I have a period where I couldn't stop buying gear. The big Vestax mixer is a club installation mixer which brand new was worth 1k and I managed to pick for £300 so couldn't resist and then the DJM707 was getting discontinued and picked it up for £200. I'm seeking "Resisting DJ equipment bargain therapy" to soothe my urges.

Don't fiddle with the mixer to look cool you were seriously whipping that bitch! The bigger and better the soundsystem, the more obvious the constant eq tweaks will sound btw, so try to avoid it. If you can't help fiddling with something, fiddle with loops and samples, not the eq!

focus on beatmatching instead of whore - ing up the eq's. Focus on the sound senses and leave the visual senses up to the dvj. Good song choices, very good tunes.
