I remember playing this song on the radio while working in College radio at LSU in 1980. It was a very transitional time for music...the "New Wave" was in full bloom but AOR rock was also big at the time....you had AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, and Bruce Springsteen played right alongside with the first U2 album, Ultravox, B-52's, Romantics, and songs like this by Flash and the Pan. It was a great time for music.

The first time I heard was in a dance club in upstate New York in 1983. I thought it was one of the most creative things I'd ever heard. The lyrics, to some extent, remind me of the story of Patty Hearst.
I just love their insight naming themselves. When seeing all the "new" mainstrem bands of today and hearing all kinds of influences from the 70' and 80' and going "Ah, yeah I remember that song - I bought the album when it came out - eh, some 30 years ago..." And the kids of today look upon you with a big "WTF?" written all over their face. And you realize that once upon a time you though the year of 2000 sounded extremely cool and futuristic... ;)
How did an Argentinian get hold of a cassette on a small australian band yet it was the only music that fortunately get you sane? I'm from Aust aged now 40.

This album, Lights In the Night, is a must-have if you like their music. Not a bad song on it, and most are great. It's worth searching for.

yeah, that's an understatement, 'cause this is one of the best albums ever produced from the 70:s
