  • This is such an amazing route... just outside of Keswick you right. I drove this route in Feb in pouring rain.. twice as bad as this but what an adventure. I think there was a slate quarry along this route as well if i'm not mistaken.. awesome!

  • Ive driven down that road good fun and i was also in the lake districk when the road i was going along had grass growing in the middle of it and i dint miss a turn as there wasent any and i say this because the road just vanished infront of my eyes and became a large area of grass. I RAN OUT OF ROAD LITERLY

  • Ok good :) I have yet to go there but I want to visit the Lake District one of these days and I was "studying" my maps like a good New Yorker should :) It's near Catbells and Newlands horseshow. Good for walking, hiking etc. Supposed to be the most beautiful (or one of the most) beautiful areas in the Lake District. Lush, green hobbit land.

  • oops. I meant Newlands horseSHOE (not show). Oh-these typos!!

  • I bet it is Honister Pass.

  • I think so. Looking at photos, maps and description online, that's where we were.

  • @EveSimone i bet its kirkstone pass

  • It's outside of Keswick, but I'm not sure exactly where. This video was shot 7 years ago and I can't recall.

  • Where in the Lake District is this road?

I think it is Honister Pass:

Just past Gatesgarth Farm at the southern end of Buttermere is the beginning of Honister Pass. It connects the Buttermere valley with the eastern end of Borrowdale valley. It is one of Cumbria's highest passes.
